Girl In Trouble #1 - What a Thriller! A well written thriller, with believable characters, that grabs you and doesn't let go until you finish the book. The 11-year-old girl is amazing in her handling of the horrible situation. I contacted the author to do reviews and she graciously sent me this book. No vulgar language or sex. 5*
Turn Back Time #2 - Another thrilling book. A well written thriller that takes place six months after A Girl In Trouble ends. More heartache is in store for the family in this well written book with its well thought out plot and interesting, believable characters. While TBT can be read by itself, the book AGIT should be read first. This is one of many books I have read by the author and she written many 5 star books; she doesn't disappoint the reader. 5*
Little Lies #3 - A well written, suspense filled, action packed novel filled with the characters from the Gone Saga, set ten years later. The well though out plot, along with the developed characters and their realistic dialog, immerses the reader in the story. Ms. Claflin doesn't disappoint the reader with this book. 5*
Against All Odds #4 - More woes for Alex and family and friends in a fast paced, intriguing suspense. Our favorite characters are still their interesting, evolving selves; the dialog is still realistic and intelligent; and the well thought out plot keeps the reader immersed in the story. Ms. Claflin doesn't disappoint with her well written Alex Mercer series, which gives the best enjoyment by reading sequentially. No vulgar language or sex. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*
Don't Forget Me #5 - More woes, again! A well written, suspense filled visit with the Mercers and family. I wondered if the past would return to bite them again. Once started, like the rest of this series, it's hard to put the book down. The storylines are well thought out; the characters are evolving more with each book; and the dialog is realistic, believable. This is a dark subject and Ms. Claflin has done another wonderful job with her vivid descriptions, characters and twisting plot. A standalone, but these books should be read sequential for best value and entertainment. Ms. Claflin sheds a little information about past events in all the books of this series, as needed, but the books should be read to get the whole story. This series immerses the reader in the Mercer world and each has been difficult to put down before the last page. 5*
He's finally joined the police academy and the wedding plans are coming along but Zoey is hiding a secret. One she fears they won't be able to weather. Alex is mentally and physically drained and he's seeing Flynn Myer everywhere, the man who is meant to be in jail for abducting his daughter. No one believes him, but then he starts getting texts trying to arrange a meeting between him Myer.
Meanwhile, Captain Nick Fleshman, is on the case of a serial killer whose burial ground has been unearthed at the home of one of his deputies—one he has a secret relationship with. While he considers the implications of recusing himself, her father becomes the prime suspect.
Can the Myer case be put to bed for good?
I normally enjoy these books but for me this one just didn't sit right. I felt that the storyline of Alex receiving the texts didn't add anything to the plot. When Alex finally did get in front of Flynn Myer, he seemed to give up all the information too easily. Why didn't Alex tell Nick about the texts? Who was sending the texts? And I'm sad to say that Zoey's storyline fell flat for me. She bottled up her secret and then in one conversation it was all revealed and that was that. I don't really get their relationship...they're engaged to be married but live completely separately whilst their daughter lives with her grandparents. And I can only assume the issue with her pregnancy is a set up for a later book. If it isn't then I'm not entirely sure it adds to anything. For me they all seem a little immature.
Oh and far too many of the chapters started with Alex drinking his peppermint mocha. A bit more originality would be nice.

I was overly excited when I got to read this book and it didn't disappoint. Genevieve and Tinsley are working in her parent's garden when they dig up a box of two skeletons. That's a shock but these twins weren't the only girls buried there.. Soon a connection between one girl and Genevieve's dad appears and she's furious that her dad goes fishing all day long, not helping himself not to look guilty. While everyone is working on this serial killer case, Zoey seems to be quite distant but Alex is too worn out by academy to realize. In the last book Zoey was abducted and raped and now it's time she comes clean with her family and friends about the whole situation. Meanwhile Alex keeps on seeing Flynn, the guy you abducted his daughter and should rot in prison, yet he keeps running into him in various places. Then the messages beginn "Flynn wants to meet you". At first Alex wants to ignore this stupid game and even block the number but he finally ends up driving to the prison together with Nick and you won't believe what they'll find out. I was wondering if this book would end with a cliffhanger, since the case wasn't solved at 90% but no worries, you'll get an end and some info to look forward to the next book of this series! I've received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
🌹You never promised me a rose garden with its own buried secrets!😱 July 26, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition 👍4.5 stars Another high tension Alex Mercer thriller, great writing and tight, suspenseful plot. So many of the main characters in this series are wounded souls and it's time to reveal more about their traumatic pasts. Nick and Alex, the principal men in the series, are good guys, very supportive of their women and children. I like them both. Their women, Genevieve and Zoey, are strong-minded but vulnerable and good matches for the men.
As to the plot, well, another madman is on the loose and author Stacy Claflin effectively tells part of the story from his twisted point of view. For parents of young children, the anatomy of his child stalking is a good cautionary lesson in the ways children remain vulnerable to predators. The story ends rather suddenly and with an ominous hint that their troubles are not over. This novel can be read as a standalone but, in my opinion, should be read after the earlier books in the series. Earlier abductions and murders which occurred in the series are mentioned that continue to have serious effects.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Stacy Claflin has written another riveting thriller. A number of dead bodies have been found buried in a yard. Another serial killer is on the hunt. Nick is investigating. Alex is trying to help but is exhausted from the police academy & recurring nightmares thinking he’s spotted the convict that had kidnapped Ava. He knows he’s in jail so he isn’t sure what’s going on. Then, a little girl goes missing. Can they save her?
What sets this thriller a part from others is that some of the scenes are narrated by the killer. His point of view offers a different, chilling sense of horror. The descriptions of his intent & careful stalking sends chills. The scenes & the dramatic plot contains such realism, it’s like its pulled from today’s headlines. All of that’s before Zoey’s announcement & issue. This book will pull you in & keep you enthralled until the end!
Stacy Claflin didn't disappoint in this book #5 in the Alex Mercer series.
A thrilling page turner that keeps you hooked from start to end. A lot going on in this story with Alex and Nick and the ladies in their lives. Another serial killer on the loose and a sweet little girl playing with danger. Will the police solve the mystery before its too late for the next victim?
It was good to see that Zoeys secret came out and the twist with that was interesting too. Look forward to seeing how that plays out. Genevieve and Tinsleys relationship also took another turn for the better.
We were of course left with a hint that more trouble is just around the corner!
Don't Forget me is the 5th book in the Alex Mercer series. I was glad that the author got back to the basics of the story instead of keeping the focus on the romantic aspects of the characters. There's lots going on in this one. Zoey finally tells Alex about the final assault that happened when she was kidnapped. She's now very pregnant. Genevieve's dad is now a suspect in multiple murders as the bodies of many girls have been dug up in her parent's back yard, some of them have been there for as long as Genevieve has been alive. And Alex keeps running into the man that kidnapped his daughter around town, even though he is on death row in prison.
Don’t Forget Me is the 5th book in the Alex Mercer Thriller series by Stacy Claflin.
I feel so bad for Alex Mercer. I don’t know how much more he can handle.
There’s a serial killer hunting little girls and Nick is investigating. Alex is in the Police Academy and dealing with the news from Zoey. There is so much going on and everything is woven together so well.
There’s always a twist at the end that makes me anxious to read the next book
I received this book as a gift and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This story starts right up in a whirl wind of a ivory after being told some bodies had been discovered at Genevieve’s parents home. Nick being the police chief headed out with his police to the scene.
Alex and Zoey are planning their wedding. Nick and Genevieve are thrown back together due to this case. Tinsley is unfortunately one of the people who found the bodies.
This story is such an amazing twisting turning plot and the story just grabs you and again was unable to put it down and read right through the night.
Flynn is back. At least Alex believes he is back. He keeps running into him and now he is texting him. Another little girl goes missing and Gabriella's parents house has turned up a body. The house turns out to be a burial ground for lot of missing girls and her father is looking guilty. This book has a lot of twist and turns to keep you guessing along the way.
Can Nick, Alex, Genevieve, Zoey endure another difficult situation? When Genevieve found two dead bodies in her parent’s backyard she is about to open a new nigthmare tied to a sociopath again. Can they resolve the mystery and save a little girl? Is Zoey going to tell Alex about the pregnancy after the rape? You can’t put down the book.
This author never fails in her books...and this series, like her other series, keep getting better. You read and think wow, this is awesome, no way can she too this one, then the next book comes out and it is even better...how does she do that? This is one author you dont want to miss, read all her books, you wont be disappointed!
Another episode in the life of Alex Mercer. This book centered on some other prime characters but entwined Alex's continuing story through out. It was a quick read as each chapter begged you to continue reading. Looking forward to the next book. This one resolved one storyline but left you hanging in another one.
I have purchased all of the Alex Mercer series books. With each book the price increased and the number of pages decreased. After reading the final episode you left such a cliff hanger and no comment on a sixth episode. I loved the series but BUYER BEWARE there is no finale and no promise of a further episode.
I am starting to detect a definite pattern in these novels, and am finding that the killers/kidnappers get found all too easily. The problem is, I am attached to the characters and the stories are fast-paced and keep me reading. I just wish she would change her formula a bit, though, and give these novels a bit more of a mystery.
I really like this series.I love the way it is thrilling yet relaxing. I don't tell what is in the books I read. That is for you to read and find out.I would recommend to anyone. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. I love the characters in the books and audible brings them to life. Thank you Stacy Claflin. Off to the next book in this series.
I have read all of the Gone and Alex Mercer books. The characters are so well done, you feel like you know them and share their pain, joy, and feelings. Now I am waiting for the next book in the series. shmoore
This book was amazing i love how the police have a person of interest and how touchpad mistakenly think they are the killer. Cannot wait for the next one
This one was okay, but the story is getting more than a little repetitive. I like the characters, but don't know if I'm going to continue with the series. Decent narration.
