Evil comes in many forms, and right now it’s a beautiful, raven-haired woman hanging upside down on a stripper pole. Here in Vegas, they call her Destiny, but I know exactly who she really is. Holy heck I loved this book! I was a bit apprehensive going in because I’m not a fan of the deceased spouse trope but I so wanted Torin to get a happily ever after. He’s been through hell and he hasn’t found his way out when this story begins.

Torin is definitely an anti-hero who is bent on revenge and his determination to gain it at the cost of anyone or anything was sometimes a bit scary. Lexi just happens to be one of the someones that stands between him and his vengeance. The actions that he takes as the story unfolds and he’s finally face to face with his nemesis was pretty horrifying and yet at the same time, it was the one moment that changes his life irrevocably.

Lexi was so strong. Everything she had grown up with, had faced alone afterwards and then the decisions she made as she moved into a new life only highlighted her strengths. I loved that she challenged Torin as she maintained her independence. His gradual move from broken into jealous and protective added to my overall enjoyment of this book.

While this would be a better read after reading the first books in the series, it’s not completely necessary as it gives you enough information to understand what’s taking place. However, you’ll miss all the pain and agony that Torin has experienced leading up to this moment and time. And that connection with him was what made his HEA all the more satisfying.

This is a fast paced read with some heavy MC actions but no club women to dirty the waters. The brothers add to the depth of the story even as the author gently lays out the potential for their own books. This is a tad of a slow burn but there is never any question as to the chemistry between the hero and heroine. Knowing Torin’s past made this feel all the more organic and when this couple finally come together it was the perfect place and time.

It is official that I am in love with all the Savage Kings and I am now anxiously awaiting War’s story and all the goodness I’ll find within.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Looked forward to Torin's book but was so disappointed. Did not like Lexi, hated the disrespect done to Kennedy (his dead murdered wife). Had to stop reading at 84% was not convinced hero was in love with Lexi (had impression he was not in love with Kennedy before she died either). I found he more in lust with Lexi. I'm also done with the whole " she's a virgin but works as a stripper" storyline. She's also very fertile as she gets preganat every time she has sex, please.

Torin was the third book in the Savage Kings MC series by Lane Hart and DB West.

Torin was former military and the President of the MC. His pregnant wife had just been gunned down by his enemy, Hector Cruz, and he was in a downward spiral of destruction. Under normal circumstances, he was strong, gorgeous, confident, a great leader and all alpha male. However, as of late he was anything but. However, he finally had a lead on taking down his enemy and life was turning around.

Lexi Cruz was the daughter to Hector. She was somehow involved with Torin’s wife and son’s murder and Torin was determined to make her pay.

The storyline focused around Torin’s revenge, the developing friendship between Lexi and Torin, and tying up loose ends within the MC. It was told from both POV’s so we had insight into each psyche. It was a mixture of heartfelt emotion, suspense and hope for a new beginning.

All in all, it was a quick and entertaining read where I loved the characters and enjoyed the storyline. War, Torin’s most trusted friend, is up next.

DNF @ 50%

I tried with this one, but I can't stand Torin. I loved the first book in the series, Chase and Sasha's story, and was looking forward to binging a new MC series. I like a lot of the characters, War, Reece, and Jade. But this thing with the young stripper he lusted over the week before his wedding is pissing me the hell off. Not only that, it's only been a few months since his wife was killed. The back and forth with his attitude is too jarring. I just want this story to be over with, so I'm stopping NOW.

It's extremely frustrating when an author(s) write a terrific first book to kick off a new series. They win you over with great characters and then throw you a nasty, infuriating duce. I don't even want to continue this series because of Torin, the "victim," because let's be honest here. He's not really a victim the way he was lusting after Lexi days before he was supposedly marrying the "the love of his life." Don't give me that cold feet bullshit. One last hoorah. Especially when Kennedy (wife) was a terrific, sweet person. I might have been compelled to Torin's side if she'd been a manipulative bitch who was forcing him into marriage. But that wasn't the case. He loved her and grieved hard for her. It had broken my heart. But now he's all hard up for Lexi. Only months later. Yuck. No thanks. I'm out. Lexi should run for the hills, too, because Torin is a douchebag.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review...so when I read Chase the first book in this series, I kept saying to myself, you know what he did, god no..They killed Kennedy and their unborn baby and it broke my heart, but I had to read this book to make sure I was right. So they tried to justify how Torin was drugged when he cheated on Kennedy, but regardless he was their checking another woman while his soon to be wife, left her family because supposedly they loved each other, only her love was one sided because Torin was an is a dirty dog.

“Are you…are you gonna kill me?” I hiccup.
“I want Hector. But if I have to kill you and find another way to him, I will. Now shut the fuck up! Don’t make me tell you again.”
Oh, fuck. He’s serious. I may not know much about the president of the Savage Kings MC other than the fact that he lost his pregnant wife and son a few months ago, but I do know that he could slice my throat open right now without a second thought. He’s a man with nothing to lose, and those are the most dangerous of all.

OMFG! This book was so sad in parts that I got ugly faced crying, It had its funny as hell moments, dont even get me started on the plot twist! "MIND BLOWN" 🤯🤯

Torin the leader of the MC “Savage Kings” is out for vengeance after losing his your wife and unborn child to a rivals murder plot. He’s being blackmailed and to even the field he goes after that persons child. While Lexi/Destiny was fathered by his nemesis she’s no child and not a fan of her father.

Understandably the loss of your loved one can make you see red and not think clearly it also must have made Torin into a caveman. The beginning of the book was very dark and filled with a lot of tension. Torin kidnaps Lexi after one of her dance sets at a strip club. Since she was dancing she did not have much clothes on when she is taken. Torin pretty much leaves her exposed most of the time and is physically rough with her. During this part of the story we discover Torin’s reasons for his actions.

The author did give a warning that there was some violent scenes and a trigger warning which was nice, I also wished they had mentioned that these violent occurrences are from the male lead to the female lead. It takes a lot of skill to bring a character back from such blackness into the light where all is forgiven for the temporary walk down scumbag road. Unfortunately for me Torin never comes off that road.

There are loads of great reviews about this book and as they say everyone is entitled to their view even me.

Here’s what didn’t work for me. Torin is much older than Lexi, yet he places the blame for the things that happened to him on her shoulders. As they start trusting each other and it looks like Lexi may have to stay around for a while he introduces her to his MC he once again blames her in front of them. He sort of half-heartedly much, much later in the story takes a small amount of responsibility. What really pissed me off was when Lexi also jumped on the it’s my fault bandwagon.

Turns out Lexi was a virgin, I generally avoid older men, younger women virgin stories. I have read a few that were nicely done, unfortunately a lot of the times its an excuse for the man to act like a jerk and the woman to take the blame because it must be her fault she’s so young. Moving on from that.

Torin is the one that kept going back to see Lexi dance for a week and he had his bachelor party where she dances. While her father was a criminal she was a bit of a naïve young lady thinking this older guy liked her. Why would he be coming around to see her and request a private dance from her when he never had with any of the other dancers if he didn’t like her too? He was the one that initiated their physical contact it was his actions that landed him in the predicament that may have been the cause of his wife and child being killed. True there were a few circumstances unbeknownst to either Torin or Lexi that contributed but he was the one that was sniffing around Lexi not the other way around.

During her kidnapping when Lexi had to make a call because she was worried about someone I pretty much knew the rest of the story. It was so cliché I just shook my head and sighed.

Once Torin is given the justice he feels he needed to set things right, the story lost it’s momentum and just sort of stumbled around from there.

One minute Torin is armed and ready to make his last stand and was such a violent jerk to Lexi now he’s, “all well maybe I may have taken things a little to far and didn’t have all of the info I needed because my penis wants to come out and play”.

It’s like his treatment of her was ok because well it’s her fault right? Now suddenly she’s, “he has nice shoulders and looks good in his jeans I think I want to ride his bologna pony”.

Lexi has to stick around for a while due to her circumstances and she wants to support herself so she goes back to the only job she knows which is dancing. Torin loses it when he realizes members of his MC will now she her naked. After her performance he once again takes her against her will and carries her over his shoulder outside again half naked. After spanking her he takes her down to the beach and sodomizes her without lubrication, sorry saliva does not lubricate enough for a person that has never done anal. Guess to make it all better the author gives her several orgasms and she passes out from them. Now Torin thinks he’s the man as he has taken both of her virgin holes…excuse me while I gag.

Lexi is fine with this treatment because now it must change things right? For me Torin never redeems himself. Lexi is just so overcome with orgasmic bliss now everything is all better insert eye roll.

The only character that elicited anything from me was War/Warren. During her initial kidnapping by Torin he was the only one of the three men that showed any kindness or decency to her. He tried his best to stand up for her and protect her as much as he could from his leader.

For me this story was a miss with both of the main characters. As I said earlier this is my opinion and others may have seen things I didn’t see in either one of these leads. He was a jerk and she was a sponge that soaked up whatever abuse he saw fit to send her way.

Holy effin’ smokes! Wild ride indeed!
Torin is on a path of revenge and self-destruction. He wants nothing more than to make those that hurt his wife and unborn child suffer. Would he ever find peace?
The first part of the book was super intense. It includes two of the tropes that I dislike the most yet the author made it all work. Destiny was a sweet girl with a monster for a father and I actually felt sorry for her. Her reasons to keep secrets from Torin were feasible and realistic up to a point. And the way Torin got his revenge ( ゚o゚) …
As far as the rest of the story, Torin and Destiny as a couple were a riot. It was good to see he was capable of caring for someone again but not the point of pretending his first love never existed, specially when he supposedly lost her recently. Also, I liked that even though Destiny was a stripper he was never ashamed of her choices and all of the brothers respected her as a person (although there were moments they were reticent of her but that actually had nothing to do with her lifestyle.) Their relationship was borderline combusting and even though it happened super fast (for obvious reasons) it didn’t feel forced. The end was more like a happy for now but even so I was happy on how everything turned out. I wasn’t sure what to expect of this series after the last book but if Torin was any indication of what’s to come then I will for sure read whatever the author writes!

I received this book from the author at no cost to me and I volunteered to read it; this is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.

Torin went through a lot. He lost everything. He only lives for revenge. He blames Lexi and her father for ruining his life. He doesn't sleep, his only fuel is his anger. When he finally gets his hands on Lexi and kidnaps her the road to finally find peace seems straighter. All he needs to do is to hold Lexi in hostage for ransom from her father and kill him in the process. But Torin has to face the truth: he feels guilty and rightfully so. To blame Lexi for his own faults is unfair. He has to live with the burden that he survived.

This story wasn't an easy one to rate. On one hand the book handled the topic of survivor's guilt pretty well, at least for me. You feel like you are not allowed to feel good or happy because the one you loved is passed away. You think you only allowed to feel miserable and sorrowful. And you are able to go to great lengths to punish yourself if just for a minute you forget about your grief. Yes, I definitely think this guilt was portrayed realistically through how Torin felt being the one who survived.
On the other hand I had a hard time warming up to Torin's personality. He was far too rude and raw in his interactions with Lexi for my taste. He was far from a bad guy but too rough around the edges. I'm glad he had a second chance at happiness but still wasn't my favorite hero.

After the death of his wife and unborn baby, Torin can't seem find any way out of his anger and despair. Bent on revenge against the man who killed his wife, tracking Hector down and ending him is Torin's only goal.

When he takes Hector's daughter to try to get to the man, Torin may have found his second chance. Lexi is beautiful but damaged by her life with her uncaring, greedy father. Between Torin's all-consuming rage at losing his wife and baby and Lexi's unconventional childhood, raised by a man who sees her as nothing but someone to use, they have huge obstacles to overcome if they want to carve out a bit of happiness for themselves.

With a bit more violence than is usual in Ms. Hart's books, there are parts of this story that may be triggers for some readers. However, the core of the story is about a man trying to escape his violent and painful past and regain his sense of purpose and self. The chemistry between Lexi and Torin is off the charts, but Torin's anger, confusion and emotionally abusive treatment of Lexi is at times difficult to read. As they pull closer together, however, he learns to leave the rage behind and look towards something better for himself and for Lexi. Lexi, due to her upbringing, seems to understand what is going on in Torin's head better than he does himself at times, making her perhaps the one woman who can save him from himself.

This is a good next installment of the series, moving the storyline forward while helping Torin to find his good place. As always, I highly recommend books from this author. The stories take place in a fully realized world, rich with complex and amusing characters, and as always, some serious steam.

I received an ARC of the story for an honest review.

I really love this MC series by this writing duo. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite series by author Lane Hart, as for D.B. West these books make me want to check the author out as a new to me author from this series.
The book is the third in the series, you really do need to read them in order to follow the story line to have a good understanding for the setup of what's brought you to the start of Torin. I totally would not suggest reading these as standalone!!!!

Ugh. I have so many problems with this book. How can he be over Kennedy in a few months? How does someone have a baby and not name them? It’s so impersonal, if there had been more time I get him moving on but 3 months? Even 6 months? I’d come back and haunt his ass so bad.i don’t think he loves any woman, they seem tone trophy’s for him. Kids are just prof of his virility. Lexi was a doormat with no redeeming traits, she’s 20 he’s 30+

Yes, yes, yes... This book is here and I didn't scream my head off because it was super late and my kid was in bed but Dayum... I was so freaking happy. Since I started this series that this story was the one that I was waiting for because the suspense... The unknown would be there... So many questions and fears...
Wanna know what I'm talking about? Let me explain.
Land Hart and D. B. West had created an amazing series... Guess the genre? An MC series of course... Lol... My favorite. Savage Kings MC was created and I was doomed. Have you read them yet? If you haven't I totally advise you to read them all in order, Chase then Abe and then this one Torin because they aren't standalones. Just do it...
This book focus on the lifes of Torin and Lexi.
Torin had suffered the unthinkable, while he was president he saw his wife and unborn child being killed out of revenge. After that day he wasn't the same, he wanted revenge against the responsible for that but...
Lexi was obligated to run away from her past and her family, because when you're the daughter of a ruthless mob boss you tend to pay for his sins. Life on her own is hard so imagine what it is working in a strip club and...
Sometimes we're obligated to do whatever it takes to survive and protect the ones we love...
Jesus... I knew that I was about to embark on a breathtaking story but Dayum... It was so much more.
The plot is exquisite, very well written, as always, super detailed and intense.
Once I started to read it I just couldn't put it down. Follow my advise and don't start any book from this lady after midnight, because I did that and watched the sunrise.
I was in edge after reading the first two books because the need to know more was consuming me. If you had read the first book you know why I'm saying this.
I needed answers and I got do much more.
This book focus on revenge, pain, suffering but it also give us love, second chances and loyalty.
Just grab this series and get ready to be amazed. Guys, you will get hot flashes with the hot scenes... Just wait...
Lane and D. B. You guys are trying to kill us right? And why that ending? Jeez... Can't wait for the next one.

Torin’s Book has been the book I’ve been waiting very impatiently for. The president of the Savage Kings MC intrigued me from the very first mention of him so to finally get his story...the excitement was unreal.

If you’ve read the previous books in this series you’ll already know what Torin has already gone through (if not you’ll find out in this book) and now the times come to get his revenge. Of course things are never what they seem and Torin is forced to confront his past and his present if he’s any chance of moving on.

I loved this book. Torin was everything I wanted him to be and although there were times I really disliked his action, I couldn’t help but love the broken, angry man that needed his revenge. Another brilliant story in the Savage Kings MC series that left me desperate for more.

This book was good, just not as good at the previous ones. I don't like cheaters, even if he was drugged, he still knocked up another woman, married his wife while having doubts, knocks her up and when said wife and son die he loses his shit...only to find his 'second chance' with the woman he 'cheated' with. Yeah nope, that's just not something I like reading about.

Content warnings: suicidal thoughts, kidnapping, cheating

So, this book was confusing for a few reasons. Obvs his wife and son were killed and that’s awful but he talks about his late wife like he didn’t even like her. It seems he did love her in a way but felt more so obligated to love her. With Lexi obvs she had his son but they did not once say ily to each other throughout the whole book. I didn’t like Torin

Torin by Lane Hart and DB West a five-star read that will blow you away. This is the third book in the Savage Kings MC series and each book builds on the last, Torin was always someone I had a soft spot for and when I realised he was getting his own story I did make a slightly embarrassing sound, and maybe blushed at how excited I was. I don’t want to give spoilers but will just say these two authors have blown me away, I laughed, I cried, I blushed, and I snorted, I was a wreck when I finished this one, I have had to leave my review a couple of days as I couldn’t type for crying!! There aren’t many books that I can’t think of without welling up, but this is one of them. Tears of sadness that the story is over!! War can’t come quickly enough.

Missing something

Even though I have read Chase, Abe and now Torin, I feel like I missed something about them. Was there a book about Torin and Kennedy?? Other than they met at a BBQ resturant. It dont seem like its was that strong of a relationship if months after her death he is in love again. And what was up with Kennedy sister coming to funeral with her 2 men?? Whats that about? See, I missed some books or this left more questions then it started with.

This is third book in the Savage Kings MC series and the reading order is:
Chase, Abe, and then Torin. I highly recommend reading the other books before starting this one.

Usually I love a protective man but Torin took it to a whole other level. Going through what Torin did in previous books I can understand why he felt the need to act this way, but I still couldn’t get on board with his antics.

The romance in this book was darker/kinker than I prefer as well. I enjoyed the previous two stories romance a lot more because of this. Torin liked always being in control and dominant so the love scenes weren’t very swoon worthy in my opinion. BUT to each their own.

Lexi Cruz was this strong, independent woman who could take care of herself. I loved how strong she was and that she didn’t need a man to provide for her. I don’t want to go into too many details about the story line because I feel it will give away too much. I think if you are a fan of motorcycle romances you should definitely give this series a try. I’m loving it so far and can’t wait to pick up the next brother’s story.
