While the quints’ hostility toward their tutor continues to be very heated, the second volume sees them slowly warming up to him just a tiny bit. A clumsy misunderstanding has them being judge and jury against Futaro and later he reluctantly joins them at a fireworks festival where he and Miku (the middle-born quint who wears headphones) seem to be getting chased by someone, ending in the most surprising way no one will see coming. Luckily this volume ends pretty solemnly though I hope the quints will be less mean to Futaro more soon. A- (91%/Excellent)
Sometimes I just wanna chill, turn off my brain, and watching 5 girls all want a piece of a nerdy weirdo guy.
Overall this is a very fun manga. This continues the trend of five sisters, all secretly having crushes and admiring their mentor as he tutors them. Eventually they go to a fireworks festival where our main hero has to decide what these girls mean to him while also discovering what one of the sisters has secretly been up to.
Overall cute and funny with solid art. WHO WILL END UP WITH WHO is the question.
WOW, so much better than the first volume. Less bullying of the poor guy and more fun and getting to know the girls! I really had fun and I would love to read more of this series~
It was another fun turn-your-brain-off kinda adventure. Our Hero :D The Five sisters continue to know a little bit about each other and get closer. We have a big part of the story in the fireworks festival. The art was nice and I am enjoying this story for what it is and will read further and Keep on Reading.
I have always loved comics, and I have I can. I love comics to bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and hope always to love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I just want to Keep on Reading.
The quintuplets are super cute and the concept is adorable. However, the story itself is lacking and I’m just not adept enough to distinguish between the five girls in the story, making it harder to follow. They’re all also a little annoying so I’m not sure if I will continue with the series. I feel for the tutor; it’s like herding cats.
This was MASSIVE improvement from the first volume! I'm glad that Futaro isn't taking the girls' shit all the time, initially going along with their shenanigans only to come back with a vengeance. Also, I feel like each of the girls was more flushed out this time around and they didn't annoy me nearly as much. The artwork is still cute and the more impactful scenes really shone through, so that's a massive plus. Also, seeing how caring Itsuki is towards Raiha made my heart swell just a bit.
As for cons, the whole situation regarding Ichika felt a bit dragged out, though I did really like the resolution at the end on both Ichika's and Futaro's parts. Also, how did the Ichika's manager or whatever mistake Miku for Ichika?? Yes, I get that they're quintuplets thus they have a similar features, but Ichika has super short hair and Miku's is obviously longer, how could the manager dude NOT notice that?! I guess it was one of those "he's so focused he doesn't pick up on small details" moments, but I felt that was a bit farfeched and only existed to cause more drama.
I'm super curious to see how the girls fair during the midterm exams, seeing as so little studying has been going on. And of course, that cliffhanger ending has me curious. Anyway, if you were unsure about this series after the first volume, I encourage you to at least give this volume a try. It is a significant and welcomed improvement.
The revelation !
A bit of an improvement over the first volume because there's less fanservice, less bullying, and mild character development.
Aside from a couple examples toward the end, the sexualization of the girls is toned down. They're not shoving their breasts and/or ass in the reader's face every few pages this time around. I'm glad for that and that makes the volume not so cringe and unbearable.
The quintuplets are nicer to Futaro and it's nice that they aren't calling him a bunch of mean names every few seconds. They get along decently well and the drama between them is low stakes and mellow.
The plot isn't very interesting and I'm still not invested in anyone except Miku. The comic really needs to try to develop these sisters more or the romance will fall completely flat.
After having read a LOAD of light novels this year (and still going) I find that when I read manga that I often feel not enough happens in a single book. QQ feels a bit like that, but not nearly as much as some others. I really have enjoyed the pacing it has taken thus far and how it is more than just a bunch of pretty (and often ditsy) girls fawning all over the male protagonist. Everyone in it seems to have a growth arc and I hope it continues that way.
The characters are starting to flesh out, & the girls are softening.
Well, looks like (some of) the girls actually like Mr. Tutor, & (gasp) want to study? And what's this? He has a past with one of the girls?!?! No way! Yes way. Interesting things are indeed afoot. And things may just be going a little TOO smoothly... dun dun DUNNNNNN! Well, certainly have to tune in for next volume's hijinks! Art, Garfunkel. Dialogue, excellent. Characters, well, I guess the girls are pretty adorable after all.
This volume was not an improvement to the first one, but it’s nice to see the quintuplets slowly starting to warm up to Uesugi one by one. I like how each sister has their own personality traits, hobbies, and likes/dislikes. The fireworks festival arc was incredibly confusing. I get that it’s purposefully written and drawn that way to emphasize Uesugi’s confusion, but the story was muddled with the constantly shifting perspectives. I could hardly tell which quintuplet was in which scenes, and the progression of time was super hard to follow.
The story continues and Futaro is still attempting to get the quints to cooperate. He’s starting to win a couple over but some are still giving him a hard time.
I see these have a lot of poor reviews, I’m honestly confused by this cause if your looking for a slice of life genre manga than this checks most all the usual boxes, I only take a star because I feel like the story is a tad jumpy and I also find it hard to differentiate the quints from one another and remember who’s who
I really enjoyed this second volume! I definitely liked it more than the first because we're getting to see more personality behind the girls. I really love Miku - she's probably my favourite right now (although, I quite like all of the girls). I cannot wait to see where this goes!

Futaro Uesugi is making slow progress on getting the quintuplets to study. Some still tend to run from work, but he is finding out that each has their own niche that they are good at. Now he just needs them to succeed on the mid-term if he want to keep his job. Will pulling an all-nighter actually work? And what is so important about the Fireworks Festival? It will be interesting to see what happens next!
