It was a spur of the moment decision. A bad breakup and a near death experience had sent me into hiding I guess you can say. And that’s why I ended up here in this remote place, far away from everything.
The house was beautiful, the nearest neighbor was miles away and all around us were nothing but trees and nature.
I didn’t mind though, from the moment I stepped foot on the driveway it felt like coming home. There was something about the place that seemed familiar, though I was sure that I’d never been there before.
And the father, the man whose baby I would be watching, seemed like someone I’d met before. If I were into fanciful daydreams I’d say it was as if we knew each other in another life.
Just one look in his eyes, and I could get lost. It was all very confusing. Especially the flashbacks to an earlier time. A time when I knew him, intimately it seemed.
The visions and dreams were so real I’d wake up in a sweat, with a fever between my thighs and I could swear there were teeth marks on my nipples. Still, instead of fear, I wanted to know more. Like what was it about the place, about him, that seemed so familiar?

"Babysitter's Club Noelle" is the story of Noelle and Callan.

A babysitter-boss romance takes an unexpected turn, when ghosts, ghouls and spirits of reincarnation plague it's path. This was confusing, intriguing and exasperating at the same time.

SO WEIRD.

I think this book is lack of acts. Actually, after I finished the book, there are no real problem at all. All the problem was in the past and all the main character here are afraid of it. Yeah sounds lame when I put it so. But really,

They are afraid of NOTHING.

So basically this story was full of prevention. What if what if what ifs... so many what ifs that the real danger was NONE.

Weird I know. When you can't decided this is a good story or lame.

I fall in love with the plot but in the end all I can say was just: o....kay? So that's it? Ehm... is that all? So all the worries did not happen and tada happily ever after now?

All the built feeling, all the anticipations are for...this? This....NOTHING?

O.....kay then. #StillConfused

This is the fourth book in the Babysitter’s Club series by Jordan Silver. Noelle is 18 years old and after fighting with her now ex-boyfriend, Jack, she was upset and got in a car accident. Ever since she woke up from a coma her mind has been a jumbled mess she’s had to piece back together. She needs to get away for a while so she’s taken a summer job as a nanny for Callan McCormick. She’s never actually met Callan she was hired by his mom Sheila. When she arrives at his estate she feels melancholy which is soon replaced with euphoria. Callan comes outside to greet her and she feels a sense of deja vu. She doesn’t know much about him except he’s a single father, his wife died during childbirth. Isabelle is 10 months old and Noelle quickly becomes attached to the baby girl. I don’t want to say anything else about the book because it will spoil the surprise. I will say there is a paranormal element in the book and an actual storyline that’s not all sex which surprised me.

I HATED this book. Which is sad because usually this authors works are a fast entertainingly dirty guilty pleasure.

I made it to 61%. And had to throw in the towel.

The h basically blacks out each time she runs into the H. Either that or she becomes annoyingly aroused. She takes care of his baby. Gets annoyed by a shrew of an ex sister in law of the H who for reasons unknown lives in his house, hates his baby, and tries to have sex with him every night? Then nothing. The h’s inner monologue is boooooring, and slow. So slow.

At one point there is a ghost that appears. A crying/screaming ghost. And the H says something like ‘it’s cool, I see it too, just ignore it.’ And she does. Just like that.

There was no, ‘uh, what the fuck man!? That’s a GHOST!!’. Or, I dunno, a ‘hooooly shit! Why is an emotional spectral being just being all scream-y in your yard!?’ Not even an ‘holy fuck sticks someone call a priest!!!’ Nothing. They just ignored it. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I kept at it. I tried. I did. Then I got to the chapter from the H’s point of view. And in just a few short kindle pages, I realized that he KNOWS that this girl/woman/barely legal lady labia, is his lost love from previous generations. He KNOWS this, and that she was coming back to him. So he had a baby with another woman. And yet, he got all ‘but you’re a virgin right!?’ When she told him about her messed up previous relationship. Hmmmmm. Nope.

Not only that, but he has all the answers to the weird shit happening, yet plans to pop her cherry before enlightening her about any goddamn thing. This h, the oblivious-stupid-woman/child is game because he’s hot. Who needs any more than that?

I literally wouldn’t care if this baby turned out to be the female reincarnation of Jesus himself sent to save the world. Or if the shrew weird protagonist SIL turned out to be Santa Claus. I still wouldn’t want to read any further.

Sorry Jordan Silver. And all her fans. This was a big NOPE for me.

DNF @ 61%.

Ms Jordan Silver keeps getting better and better!

I have loved this new series from the first as it harks back to her older style of books, not that there's anything at all wrong with her newer books, but she hooked me as a fan with books like Mouth, Kicking ans Screaming and especially Passion.
Noelle is the best of this series Babysitter's Club, I loved the paranormal twist and the concept of enduring love through the ages. Well done mama, loved this one!

Past lovers

This was a little bit of a paranormal book with the introduction of reincarnation.it wasn't bad, a fairly good read, but a little blah, in my opinion.

Too confusing!

What I usually like about Jordan Silver stories Is that you know everything that has happened up to that point. There might be a reveal at some point but there isn’t all this confusing double talk at the beginning usually. What you see is what you get, and this has a confusing start because what is Noelle talking around? What is she hiding? I don’t read Silver for this level of “intrigue”. It’s simply too confusing. All that for the boyfriend to have a secret Side piece? And the coma was because she was driving upset after a fight? COME ON!!! After every “reveal” of what they have been referring to, you’re left like “why? Come on! That’s it?” The weird breadcRumbing of a weird story.

I wanted to DNF so badly, because even when it was Callan’s pov, we got more information but it still didn’t make any more sense. It was so bad, I had to go for reviews where it was mentioned about reincarnation, but again- why do it this way?? It’s so bad!!

“Now that my love was awakened, now that there were no more secrets clouding her mind, I was free to just enjoy this moment together.” And yet, us, the reader still have no idea what’s going on!! Chapter 16 out of 20 is when you finally get the full story, eye roll city.

I’m glad they got their happy ending but it was not a good telling of this very weird story. Cause what do you mean that wasn’t them breaking the curse?! And what about the specter???

he might not be cheated in present time, but he did cheat in their past ...getting his wife pregnant..
well technically he knowing about Noelle each and every time he did cheat always even if in this present time he did have the wife and kid before ''remeeting the h'' but he knew what he was doing.
With this reincarnation thing, he knew what happened lots of times and he still repeated the same thing...getting married and have a baby with somebody else!!! meanwhile he gets the h pregnant each time too and let her be like a mistress.
The past is the past, but can you at least in the present time not do the same thing?he could've change the fate in a different way.

She even had a relationship for 2 years, but she never touched that guy..so yeah, she can but he can't. yikes

This was weird and not in a good way. There was almost no dialogue in the story which is a huge pet peeve for me and automatically lowers my enjoyment immensely. The "H" was not likable overall for me. He was the catalyst for what happened to Noelle in the first place. His stupid choices/actions set the whole sordid thing into motion to begin with. Then he made the comment that each life he is not faithful while he waits for Noelle because "a guy has needs." The author tries to justify it by indicating he feels guilty. Ugh, just yuck! Yuck, yuck, yuck! The more I think about it the more I hate him. Trudy was a completely unnecessary character. I mean a lot of this story did not make sense.

He was never giving up.

This book is very different from other JS books. I was surprised and really drawn in.
Callan watched his life end over and over. The woman he loved but couldn’t have would enter and leave over and over. They were destined to never have a life together.
Noelle didn’t understand the strange attraction to her new boss. Somehow she kept seeing him as a past partner but couldn’t remember the how’s or why’s.
A curse kept them apart but Callan was done with living without her.
This is a great book! I really enjoyed it.

I have really mixed feelings for this book. I loved most of it. I was loving Callan until we find out that in his first life he abandoned the pregnant love of his life to marry and have a child with another woman. That’s pretty hard to get past. Then we find out that in every life he remembers his life with Noelle but still marries and has a child with the woman who killed her. I just couldn’t get past those things

Best One!

I really enjoyed this story. I was worried at first because I couldn't see where it was going. I was brought back to my original love of historical romance although this romance is contemporary. I love all of the characters and how the story played out. It was the perfect length, but I wanted a longer epilogue. Great job making this series into something more by going beyond the expected.

Disappointed

So here is the fourth in a series and U am sure like many others I was excited. But this book took a different tone than all the others. This book for me should have been a historical romance. I am a huge fan of Jordan silver and have read majority of her books. But this is the most disappointing of the baby sitting series.

AhMazing!!

This has got to be my favorite book in this series!! Who wouldn’t wish for an everlasting love that repeats itself through every generation. One where Callan will do whatever it takes until he can change their paths where they can spend a life time together and break the curse. His and Noelle’s love is so sweet and swoon worthy. And who doesn’t love a possessive man that will go through eternity just to have his one true love!! This book was absolutely AhMazing and I didn’t want to put it down or for it to end.

Ummmmm

Yeah not a Jordan silver book at all. It was extremely boring I almost didn’t finish it. The story just made no sense to me. There was nothing dramatic or intense like there usually is. I’m sorry Jordan but this is my least favorite book. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it all

She has done ir it again.

Love the sweet story of loss ,renewal, and second chances. Love the the characters in the story. Great love story with a little bit of intrigue. slightly Gothic in the storytelling but not as dark as a true Gothic Tale but with a happy ending a must-read of Jordan Silver's.

I loved this story! It has everything that makes a Jordan Silver book what it is suppose to be (great characters, hot sex, etc)... but this one also has so much more. I didn’t know where this one was going at first, being that the characters had known each other in their previous lives, but I really found myself enjoying the back story and the outcome! It is worth your time!

A fascinating story!!

Noelle needs a change in her life after her boyfriend of two years betrays her and she has a devastating accident. She goes to the plantation home of Callen to be the nanny for his daughter, Isabelle. There is so much more to this story, it is a fascinating read and I highly recommend it!

Hmm, I found this quite a weird one. Was a bit more interested in the whole back story then I was in the characters coming together. Saying that, as it became apparent it was a reincarnation story, I lost interest.
Did pack as much punch as some of the other books by this author. Definitely not something I'd reread nor do I value the read.

Nostalgia

Of you enjoyed "Illicit" by Jordan Silver, you will enjoy this. Modern with the memories for previous lives have me such a feeling of nostalgia, since I am from the deep South and grew up around the real antebellum homes and history.
