A lot has happened in Avery's life and it was only the start of it.
As Avery becomes more comfortable with her mates she learns not only more about herself but the world she now lives in. More questions arise and not enough answers.
With the selection and the Council hanging over their heads what will happen to Avery and her mates. What half-truths and twisted lies will she learn?
Disclaimer: This is a slow-slow burn Reverse Harem. The harem comes together throughout the books. Ends on a cliffhanger.
I'm a small-town girl from West Virginia who treats her dog like she's my kid. I developed a love for books nine years ago and became a book lover. I love to read and how it takes me on a journey and the emotions books bring out in me. I hope to bring those feeling out in you too! I hope to take you on a journey you won't forget. I started writing five years ago and published my first book in 2017. I'm not very social but you can always reach me on Facebook. Following me on here is also a good way to stay up to date with new books. Thanks for reading!
Although this is a good story, the reader is distracted by the deplorable editing, if it was, in fact, edited at all. The story itself is a pretty good one, even though most of the concepts have been used before.
So I lived the first book but this second book left me feeling a little disappointed. It seemed rather short and it didn't really do much to progress the story. In summarization: it was a tease.
What I did like was the conflict at the castle( i.e...girl sniffing around her one of her mates). I liked that they - the group -acted like a pack and refused to be roomed separately.
What I didn't like ... the weird place this book left the reader at (ie. cliffhanger). I, personally, wasn't feeling it or am not understanding what is going on or why.
What I'd like to see going forward. As this is supposed to be a reverse harem I'd like to see more men added to her harem...two men does not a harem make; that a three some. It doesn't qualify as a true harem until five people are involved. I'd preferably like to see Nick and Cam added to the mix.
Length wise, I think I'd consider this story more a long the serial spectrum versus a full-length book series. That's just my personal opinion. I read this in like half an hour, it was a rather short read.
Omg. I'm really struggling with this book. The typos are so bad. Lorel/Loral, the constant name changing is bonkers. Are all female wolves tanned, tall and stacked? So far both we've met are so described, and both were twits, too. But back to the typos, grammatical errors and general mayhem going on here. Punctuation. This is an important thing. I can forgive a lack of commas before addressing someone. But when you break up sentences right in front of a run on sentence, things have gone too far. Reading it that way, it breaking up in my head, it isn't proper speech patterns. It's too confusing. Even their inner monologues are done this way. Ack!
"Dean’s body turns ridgeded,..."
Geez, that one cracked me up. Seriously? Rigid, ironically an easy word. There's too many more to name and I'm only at 15% currently. I don't know how much longer I can do this.
The quality is even worse than the previous one. Please, please find an editor. I'll do it for free. The ideas are there. You have a great imagination. You just need help fine tuning the rough edges.
The only reason I read this was a friend betting that I couldn't finish after she read my review of the first book. She won $20 because I only made it to 55% before I had to stop. This was even worse than the first book, I feel like I need to bleach my brain to get rid of the garbage I read. Every single page had massive issues with incorrect words, incorrect capitalization, misused homonyms, missing punctuation, incorrect use of apostrophes and just flat out bad English.... heck, it wasn't even just bad English, it was bad American. This author has won prime placement on my list of authors never to read again. I won't let any of my friends suffer through this garbage either.
I really like this story. It is different and interesting. Unique. But, the grammar and spelling detract from the experience. I'd like to be able to give it 3.5 or 3.75 stars but that isn't an option. I'm definitely going to read the next book in the series.
Argg I was enjoying the book then it stopped! I know there was a warning in the beginning of the book but it stopped so soon! The book felt a little short. I loved the characters started to grow their relationship. The empath plot thickens! More mysteries to unravel. Hope the next book is longer. Great second book!.
While there were a few grammatical errors, let’s just jump into the plot. The story picks up from book one and Avery is slowly succumbing to her mates and the heat. The cliffhanger ending has me super curious what exactly the world of shifters is up to... and how many mates will Avery actually have.
The writing was really good the characters are believable and relatable. However I hate cliffhangers and the book was way to short for where the story seems to be going also the typos are ridiculous some basic editing would have made this story much better and only cost the writer some time (it's sidled not saddled)
Went way faster then book one but it is starting to get crazy and scary, I'm so freaked out right now for Avery. These people are nuts. OHHHH I can't wait til Kayden and Dean get a hold of these sickos!! Avery is gonna do some damage of her own! It's starting to get steamy to between them all 3 😘😘😭😍😁😁
The book is extremely abbreviated. It adds more questions and plot to the story but just stops with no explanation or warning. I guess you could call it a cliffhanger if there was another book. But based on the publications date, there likely won’t be another. I’m not likely to read more from this author after this.
Ok, 3 stars. I loved the first in the series ‘Avery’ and quickly jumped to book 2, only to discover, just as it starts ramping up (98 pages!), it’s done, it’s not even a cliffhanger, it’s a comma! Why publish? Especially as that’s it, no further books in this series.
So I was super excited about this book being released I found this author by mistake the book has a great storyline and cool characters I just wish she would grow up and quit being such a crybaby with certain things hopefully she grows out of it looking forward to the third
So i really like the storyline, but there were many misspelled words, wrong words, and odd phrasing throughout the book. With an editor, or even a beta reader it would make this book great!
This series I am totally loving! Wow, that cliffhanger was brutal. Cannot wait for the next book. Just when Avery is excepting her mates, BAM! I don't do spoilers so just read the books.
This is a great story and a good series. Slow burn. Only problem is the spelling and grammar mistakes. Needs better editing. Even a character description changed book to book.
Good book, but definitely needs to be edited. FMC is weak, but I believe the author is building her up to be a strong heroin. I look forward to the next book in this series and hope it will be edited better than this one.
The series is awesome so far. The only issue I have is there are a few grammatical errors/typos however the don't take away anything from the book at all. Still a good read with an interesting plot an a lovable MCs. Anxiously awaiting book 3!
It’s been a good read with interesting characters that aren’t necessarily by the book. They each have their own personalities and they really grow on you. I love the plot twists and hope to read more if another continuation comes out.
I loved this as much as the first but it was over way too quickly. The storyline was an amazing addition but parts felt a little rushed like the cliffhanger was too forced. Nevertheless I can't wait for the next book!
Avery has a hard time adjusting to her new life that she didnt know exists. She has to face the council. While away from home she runs into trouble will her mates be able to save her? I need the next book really bad.
This is quite the page-turner. A great story that's hard to put down. Love Avery, Kayden, and Dean. Can't wait to see what happens next. Only complaint is editing needs work.
I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. I can't wait to see what will happen next with Avery and her mates and who took her and if her mates will find her.
Was an extremely short read. With a cliff hanger ending. If I didn’t get this through kindle unlimited I would be upset. Wait until the next book is released before buying this one.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a novella and not a novel. Needs proofreading but is a great story and I love the characters. Worth the read if you love shifter romance books! Four glittery stars.
The chapter was good like the 40's and 50' s serials.
The chapter was good like the 40's and 50' s serials. But I will probably not be buying them until it is finished and I can get the whole book. I do not play these games when I pay for and read books.
Loved this book, first time reading this author and I can tell you it won't be the last. I just have one grumble and that's the cliff hanger ending , now I'm anxiously waiting for the next book in the series.
I really want to know what happens, please make the third book. I have to know what happens next!! Please continue the series. It has so many possibilities.
I really like this series but if I knew this book would end with such a cliffhanger I would have waited with reading until I could have purchased book 3.
