The Enhancer #2

Enhancer 2

Rate this book
Having superpowers can be awesome, but they always come at a price.
Ty Wilcox didn’t really believe in superheroes before he became one himself. Now, he has an incredible power he’s just beginning to understand, lives in a mansion, and is in a relationship with two of the most amazing women alive.

But when a flying, teleporting demon-woman appears outside his work, the price of his new life becomes apparent.

There’s a supervillain after the device that gives Ty his power. This villain will do anything to get it, and has an entire army at his command.

The price of Ty’s new life is never-ending danger.

Warning and minor spoilers: Just like book 1, “Enhancer 2” is an 18+ book intended for mature readers. It contains sex, violence, and nudity. It includes very light gamelit elements, occasional bad language, and is set in a cyberpunk alternate future. Within its pages you will find threats, battles, destruction of property, evil plans, betrayals, wrongful imprisonment, major violence, death, and the unfortunate realities of living in a world dominated by mega-corporate greed. The malevolent boss from book 1 is still there, as is the monstrous bad guy. But so are the gorgeous superheroes who are comfortable with unconventional, polyamorous, harem relationships, and there might be someone new in that mix as well.

If you don’t enjoy a good time, this book isn’t for you.

The fact that the main character is supposed to be a super genius with tech but somehow can't handle the idea of making a gadget to sell for cash is silly. His constant and idiotic fixation on working at a crappy job is really tiresome.

Other than that this is a fun story.

Couldn't get through it

Honestly couldnt finish the book, the first of the series was at least intriguing but this one was slow placed, and a uninteresting, describing things that the reader doesn't really care about and in general producing allot of filler without much actual continent or progression. Not a good implementation of the harem genre.

Solid second book that entertains.

I enjoyed this book very much and can start to see the MC getting more excited about what he can do. I was happy that MC started to embrace how awesome making gadgets can be for a superhero.

This is just lousy writing at this point.

Once again, this is a very short book and imagine you spend more than ten percent (10%) of this short book with Ty in his work. It would have been cool if at the conclusion of the work scene Ty did something meaningful or atleast triumph in anything but OMFG, it just left you more angry with the main character. Really we spend pages with this dude fixing a turn table to get him acting like a pathetic loser again. Jeezus H Mice. Who wants to listen to a story about a weak, lame, lousy, lack of confidence main character. Even if you want to keep the boss the way that she is, atleast give me something more than she is just spiteful. J Jonah Jameson works because at the end of the day he is not a bad character and atleast he has some funny quotes.

This book is an over 18+ book, yet it reads as if you were a middle schooler. Know you audience author. Young adult men aren't gonna like this shit. Why would anyone want to read about this loser. WTF. I actually feel scammed. This is a huge waste of money. Don't buy!

This book isn't even fun to read. Ty is one of the most useless main characters I have ever had to experience. For the main character of the book, his impact on the story is so subdued I felt as if we had remove him from the story there would have been no difference. We the reader, always have to experience things from the back seat as Ty literally is incapable of doing anything. He makes no impression on anything. If you are writing a superhero story (which these books are btw) make the main character do something. Even Hughie Campbell from the Boyz comic was very useful and he is almost like this character.

When writing a story the main character should never be the same throughout the story. That is terrible writing. Ty is literally useless in the beginning, useless in the middle and only through sheer luck somewhat useful in the end. What kind of story telling is this. The fact that we only ever get to see what goes on through his perspective hampers the entire story. All the entertaining and fun elements of a superhero story are reduced to him watching from afar while he is scared shitless. SMH

P.S
He meets a demon girl near the beginning, and this is a fine example of how not to write a main character. I swear for a 26 year old man he acts like a p**** and he has no common sense at all. Plus this is the second book. Jeez, make him uneasy and cautious not stupidly afraid. If the main character is always afraid, the meaning becomes diminished. To me, when it's time for the main character to be truly afraid, its gonna lose its tension. (Just my opinion)
***(Definition of Insanity - Albert Einstein). College Drop out my ass.***

P.P.S
Just because you say the main character has more confidence, doesn't mean he does. Actions speak louder than words.

I received an Audible code via Audiobook Boom for an honest review. What follows is my opinion and mine alone. It wasn't compensated in any way.

I had listened to the first book a while back and I did like it. It was a fun take on superheroes, had great geek references, and I like the relationship between Ty and the girls. So, when I saw that Audiobook Boom had Enhancer 2 in its list for books needing reviewers, I jumped at it. The first book was a fun and simple 3-star rating. Nothing too exciting but enough to keep me intrigued.

Enhancer 2 had pretty much the same feel. There were less geeky references but it closely follows the events of book one. In fact, it starts on the next day. I actually liked that tidbit. It gave a sense of how superheroes work. Their work is never done with and they are always on.

In this book, the main conflict is that the demoness we meet in book one is actually not the villain we first see. She needs Ty's help.

To not get too far into the storyline, the book centers mostly on Ty working through his abilities and his relationship with Dinah and Tempest. There is the introduction of a crime boss as well as the theory of who the big baddie is.

In all, it is a fun book to listen to just like the first. I have no complaints with the chosen narrator (same as before) and was able to get into the world. There is a third book on the way and I hope to one day listen to that as well. I'd recommend it to someone who just wants to have fun with their reading.

Final Rating: 3/5

Ty, Tempest & Dina are still fighting Bane and the Master. Angie the Hut is still being a tyrant. Ty for some reason is still working?
While I thoroughly enjoy this series I have to say this.... we get it! The women are the most perfect specimens on this planet. I don’t mind the sex, it could even be more graphic. That does not bother me..... but every single time either of the women come on the scene Ty has to go on and on about their beauty & perfection.
I am actually polyamorous so even that has no shock or oh wow factor for me. I’m glad for our once reluctant superhero.
I’ve already started book 3 and it’s more of the same. Describing the women over and over and over. Now we have a third one to go on about. Sure it’s most males fantasy to have 1 perfect woman but now Ty may have 3??? Could we add some men to this mix already. Lol
Still there’s enough substance to the story other than the constant perfect women dialogue. It’s cute & quirky and also aware of its comparison to the typical comic book hero story line.
Oh and I had to go to Waffle House to get a damn waffle thank you very much. I’ve been Keto for almost 3 years so I had to use this as a cheat. Lol After starting book 3 I may need to go get some cupcakes too!

In volume two we’re introduced to Lilith, a teleporting demoness superhero with bat wings and a thundering power that can bring down buildings. Lilith’s step-father is in dire trouble and she looks to Ty for help. Ty meanwhile continues to excel in his power; modifying or fixing electronics and machines to get more out of them than originally designed. As Ty’s power increases, so do his confidence and aggressiveness, which is a welcome change. Ty creates or enhances a few gadgets to aid himself and the ladies fight crime. Ty also excitedly redefines the mile-high club. With a few more villains to overcome, our superheroes have their work cut out for themselves. The erotic scenes are so well-written that they simply put a smile on my face. The Irish accent for Dinah is perfect. I’m looking forward to volume three to see how this all pans out. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

First, I have to start off by stating that I got this book free of charge in exchange for a review, but as I always state, this does not in any way impact my review. My reviews are always honest and my own.

I can't wait to see what happens. I am dying for Ty to just sit In the lab and make himself a beast. He should really outfit the girls In his shield gear!.

This is a great quick ready. I flew right through it. However, I would like to see more depth. I am a wheel of time junkie so the longer the book the better. I want all the details/ world building. I am also not a fan of the automatic harem due to the attraction caused by the devices. There needs to be more depth to the romance/ relationships. It makes the hookups more exciting. Maybe some more details on the appearance of the girls rather than the general " they are amazing".

I will definitely read more from Wyatt Kane.

Ok

For a book series called the enhancer there is vary little enhancing done. On top of that the MC is portrayed as vary intelligent possibly a super genus but he is worried over a crap job when all he’d needed to do was start his own repair shop or sell dumbed down versions of his building armor. His worry over a hole in a wall he could easily fix also seems to only be there to add some form of worry but just makes you wonder why he doesn’t fix it himself. In all it’s worth a read but really needs someone to start going through future books and making sure things like this aren’t added. Super genius don’t worry about a hole or a crappie job, they invent something stupid to fix it.

The author constantly repeats details and wastes the time of the reader. He loves to start every chapter with a review of the previous chapter with mundane details that he expect you to remember. Every time the MC meets a girl he likes to tell you how neat that character is and how unbelievably beautiful they are, it doesn't matter that he said the same thing about them in the previous chapter. Its like the author writes a chapter takes a break and then writes the next chapter, but in the process he has re-introduce the character to himself. Also, while writing this book, the author had a definite waffle craving. Every time MC has a waffle there are paragraphs about how delicious they are, etc. etc. etc.

What really caught my attention about this book was to cover art it's very good and does a good job standing out. I also enjoyed the magic/technology aspect of this book I feel it was very well implemented.

On the downside I don't feel like there was much meat to the story. It kind of felt more like a teenage boy's superhero/furry sex fantasy. The characters had no depth, I like stories with more rounded and developed characters.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Super Hero needs to be a Hero

Ty is a regular guy given the chance to become a Superhero, but it's much harder than just walking tall. He needs to become more powerful so as to be able to Fight the villains. While he tries to get more powerful, he has 2 beautiful women hero's that are relying on him too. They do make his days better especially with all the sex they want from him and each other.😉
This was another enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to reading the next book.

Great Story full of Action

I really enjoyed this second half of the story. All the main characters are great and very different from each other. I really enjoyed the growth in Ty , he is really coming into his own. I hope he stops worrying about money. Surely he should realise at some point Tempest has enough and that he is a valuable member of the team. Can't wait to read more of their story

Cringe, cringe, cringe...He described how beautiful the girls are in the first book so he doesn't need to do that in every encounter. Diana got kidnapped from their house and yet they stay in the same place? Ty's character is pathetic even with powers he's a wimp. I liked the narrator but you can guess a writer lacks imagination when they put frequent erotic scenes or harem or both, some writers can pull it off but sadly not this one.

The “Enhanced” fun continues in “Enhancer 2”!

Tempest, Dinah & Ty are back at it again, making New Lincoln a safer place. And, giving their readers an enjoyable adventure as the follow along through the pages of the story.

This episode has something for everyone, action, adventure & even a little romance!

Read this story, you’ll enjoy seeing all the twists and turns & will be eagerly looking forward to Enhancer 3 when you’re done.

Fun light fare

Light-hearted but oft-repeated tale of male wth few positive attributes inadvertently coming across something that changes his life, meets beautiful women and bevomes superhero. World and character-building are superficial and no discernable plot other than beat the bad guys. However, the story is entertaining and aside from some editing errors, was not too bad.

There was a ridiculous amount of redundancy in both the inner thoughts of the main character and the overall opinions and descriptive words about the two female superheroes, To the point it was kind of boring. it does not feel as if the author read his own book don't get me wrong the premise of the story and the overall concept is still good but in no way great.

This was awful. It's impossible to like the MC. He has an amazing super power and all he does is drool over his women, endlessly drone on about how good food is, and worry about his minimum wage job. 2 attractive, wealthy girlfriends and the ability to create almost anything... Make 1 thing. Sell it. Never worry about money again. Free up 65% of this book to focus on something interesting

I really enjoyed this book. It’s such a new twist to the super hero theme. The characters are so dynamic and the way they interact is so fun to read. I couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait for the next book.

Solidly Written

I know that the gamelit harem segment has its many detractors, but I rather like the storiesnwritten by Mr. Kane. The number of typos was acceptably few and the characters are fully formed. War and Peace it is not, but a very enjoyable read none the less.
