In this second book for the Wolf Affair series, we get a flashback from Missy at the beginning, reminding us of what happened in book 1. Ooooh, right after meeting Amelia, I do not like her in any way, shape, or form. Don't like her attitude. What happens when Cindy and Missy want to go riding the horses and Amelia invites herself along? In this book, we meet Godwin, Kenton's cousin. We learn more about Kenton and his past and how he became a vampire. Things really heat up in this book in more than one way. Where does Maryanne end up leaving to? How long is she gone? What brings her back to the house? How does she get Missy out of the house? What is the Supernatural Conclave? What happened that Missy has to go in front of them? What do we find out when she is in front of the Conclave? My jaw dropped when I found out things that we did not know! This book has a lot of unexpected twists. You really need to read book 1, A Wolf Affair, before you read this one. It will hep understand fully everything that is going on and why. I cannot wait for book 3!!!

This book picks up right where a Wolf Affair left off. I dont want to go into too much detail and give away what happens so I'll just give you a little. Missys mom still prefers her wolf form which upsets Missy but there isnt much she can do about it. Kenton is still perfect and preparing to take on the wolves. Kenton also calls in some help because Cindy needs to prepare for the full moon and of course they need help when the wolves plan to attack on the full moon. Theres a new character Godwin. I won't say much about him because you need to read it to find out. In this book alot of secrets come out and Missy is definitely acting stranger than usual and just so much happens it makes my head spin. It was better than the first and I loved the first! One thing i wasnt happy about but you have to read it to find out. Also this book is part of a trilogy it ends but its unresolved until the last book comes out and I cannot wait for the last book to see what finally happens. Excellent book with something for everyone.

I really enjoyed this second book in the series, and I have to say Eileen Sheehan has a gift for wringing emotion out of the reader and making us thank her for the beating! Poor Cindy was really born under an unlucky star or something, cause wow, how much can one wolf-girl take! Godwin's possessiveness creeped me out from the beginning of their relationship, but the character and his story line plays out well. The story is left unfinished, so I'm off to download part 3 right now!

Missy's story continued. I felt bad for Missy because she was thrown into a supernatural world, expected to assimilate and discover her own abilities in rushed time. In book one atrocities happened but worse things occurred in this book. Missy discovered a war was brewing before she arrived on Wolf Mountain.
This book kept my attention because of narrator Kima West. She provided depth to the characters.

Book 2 was just as good as book 1! Still dark and triggers but I love it! I'm not a fan of Godwin and hope Missy opens her eyes. So much drama and plot twists!
