However, Clio, the muse of history and the catalyst to jumping back in time, knows Erva is keeping a secret. That said, she’s a trickster muse who will find answers through sleight of hand and deception. Erva really must be more careful what she wishes for.
William Hill, former earl and general from the 18th century, has a secret he has to tell his modern wife. Only, when he finally finds the courage to share, she’s vanished into the ethereal of time with only the mischievous muses informing him where he needs to go to rescue his wife—The Great War. His marriage in a literal war, he travels back to France in WWI, hoping to set his life back on track.
In a crumbling marriage, the enemy is the secrets we keep. Or have too many boundaries been crossed, emotions usurped, too much collateral damage to turn lovers into enemies?

Red L. Jameson lives in the wilds of Montana. While working on a military history master’s degree, she doodled a story that became her bestselling, award-winning romance, Enemy of Mine, part of the Glimpse Time Travel Series. After earning her gigantic master’s—the diploma is just huge, she couldn’t stop doodling stories, more Glimpse stories—because she can’t get enough of hunky Highlanders and buttoned-down Brits—and other stories, a paranormal romance series and contemporary series, which grew into the pen name R. L. Jameson, under which she writes cerebral and spicy erotic romance. She’s currently working on another master’s degree, so who knows what she’ll doodle next!

Oh boy. The Muses are at it again! This is a standalone book however it was much more enjoyable, for me, as I’ve ‘met’ Erva and Will before. These two are no strangers to time travel…and this time? They get thrown back to World War I.

How, or more to the point why, they get there is really the story and I can’t begin to explain it. Ms. Jameson weaves a fantastic tale, complete with details of history to make it that more believable. You’ll find yourself right smack dab in the middle of a bombing, although you’ll never be in danger yourself. And then there is that medieval trip…or is it? You can never be sure as the Muses like to play the role of trickster. They constantly do it with us mere mortals and watch out when they do it to each other!

Erva and Will have much to work through and a war zone is probably not the ‘best’ place to do so. They finally get to air their issues, to each other, and they really are the best. I enjoyed the story, and history lesson, and recommend.

A Wild Adventure

I truly loved reading these time travel stories. These Glimpse Time Travel tales give you an opportunity to see what it would be like to be sent back in time to any number of events in history. Fun and wildly entertaining.

While this is easily read as a standalone story, it is even more enjoyable if you have already read Enemy of Mine, the first book in the series, where we first met Minerva and Will. They are no strangers to time travel, or to dealing with The Muses. This time around they wind up in WWI.

This story is the perfect combination of fantasy, romance, humor, and history. The writer does a wonderful job of weaving together a story that keeps you reading to the end.

Minerva and Will have some marital issues to work through (although I'm sure they wouldn't have chosen to do it in a war zone!). And how the Muses wind up getting them to face those issues is quite surprising!!

Another great story from Ms. Jameson--highly recommended.
