Shane wanted nothing to do with Levi. He and his dry spell were doing just fine without Levi's crude behavior. That was until Shane walked into work to find the guy standing in line. Levi was there to make amends, but Shane didn't trust Levi's intentions. Unfortunately Levi wouldn't take no for an answer, so Shane promised him dinner, never intending to go. His plans fell apart when Shane's ex-boyfriend forced his hand, and Shane jumps into Levi's Bronco to escape Carlos. Levi planned on taking Shane to dinner, maybe getting lucky, then going home. He wasn't looking for any strings to get attached. When he shows up at Shane's place, he finds the apartment has been broken into. He stays the night to make sure Shane is fine, only, he never intended on forever. Not until he discovers that Shane is his mate and his ex-boyfriend is determined to get Shane back.

Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
I keep reading this series because it has a whole ongoing doom thing going for it. I want to find out what is going to happen. The romances are good but very instalove with no angst and very minimal development other thank sex, bite, mate, pregnancy. I like it, but I wish it had a little more depth. Oh well. I’ll keep reading to satisfy my curiosity 🤷🏻♀️
Not too bad... with the veil business in play, I'm looking forward to finding out what's up with the guys on the other side.
Levi gave me a slight obey me or else vibe at one particular time.. I wanted to kick his ass. Shane tells him to fuck off for some reason and Levi kisses him, then says if you ever tell me to fuck off I'll paddle your ass. The rest of the time he's just being a little douchey at times.
This was so exciting and I can't wait to see what happens next, not with only the romances, but the politics behind this plot which is absolutely intriguing. This author has such an extraordinary imagination. The writing is superb, and the dialogue between characters was witty, or at least amusing, a majority of the time. Levi and Shane were both awesome characters, and when business (or a threat) needed to be handled, Levi definitely handled it. The mates got to know each other better with a bit more of chill time to relax or just have fun (which I love). Yes, this series is improving exceptionally. =)
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again I keep getting sucked into these kinds of books haha. I will say compared to moonlight howling series I wish that the wolves told their mates about their world and pregnancy before mating them and being like Oop just deal with it... not my forte! Other than that this was a quick nice read and I loved how feisty Shane was!

I didn't know how exciting this series was going to be and it keeps getting better. Three of Matt's workers went through the veil and are now trapped. He's trying to figure out how to get them back, and stop Kingsley, from releasing all the prisoners. I can't wait the next book to come out. This is a must read series, highly recommended.
