When one night is too long, how long before it goes too far?

Andromeda, or Mea, is a party girl with a strong alpha female personality, which is really just her way of saying she's an anarchy-loving feminist. With high aspirations of becoming a model, her countless rejections turned into bottomless drinks and party drugs.

Taking up sketchy totally legit modeling gigs to get by with some help from her best friend, Oliver, Andromeda is striving to once again feel comfortable in her own skin, even if the means are a little on the not-so-smart side.

That comfort comes in the form of three guys, three one night stands that seem to mean a whole lot more to them than they do to her. And, after a week of showering her with affection, they vanish.

Not that she cares, but what the hell, man?

After reading Sinless I became an avid Jenica Saren fan, and although I dislike novellas, this book doesn’t disappoint. Let’s just hope that the next book comes within the next 6 weeks, I despise a series that lacks a sense of momentum and continuity.

Great

Points for originality! The main character Mea is different then most and then life throws her for a loop. Great world building that keeps you hooked as the story evolves because you just can't help but wonder what crazy thing will happen next. The trend goes all the way to the cliff hanger ending and now I need book two. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Mea. Mea. Mea. I have a lovingly frustrated relationship with Mea, but hear me out. I love that she is unabashedly herself in all that she does. She is aware her passed has left her jaded, but she won't let that stop her from living her life ... she will let it keep her from the idea of love. This is where I get frustrated with her. I just wanted to reach into the screen and shake her silly while yelling "Let Ulrich love you!" I am unapologetic when it comes to my stubbornness, and I get that same vibe from Mea. There have been plenty of times I've cursed myself for not letting people in, and I found myself feeling the same for Mea. The taste we have gotten of her backstory has clued in a little as to why she is the way she is, but I cannot wait to learn more about who she is and what happened to her that lead her down this path of cynical romance.

Our introduction to her men was just an appetizer, but boy howdy was it a damn good appetizer. I'm talking like a creamy artichoke dip with pita chips and homemade bread, not the $2 mozzarella sticks that you can still taste the freezer burn on. I wanna roll all up on the artichoke dip that is Ulrich, Raul, and Felan. That probably didn't make sense, but it made sense in my head. The contrast in personalities so far as been interesting to watch. I cannot get wait to find out more about them and see how each of their relationships with Mea plays out.

Oli and Mea's relationship warmed my heart. I have my own Oli and we are just as vicious with our love for one another as these to are. He was the yin to her yang and knew when to push her even though she didn't want him too. Their banter also gave me some new insults to through around at my own Oli. After the ringer Jenica put me through with that last chapter I'm jonesing to see how their friendship grows from here.

The pacing of this novella worked really well for it, it wasn't too fast or too slow. The faster pace in the last chapter really ramped up my heart and I went tumbling over the edge of that cliffhanger. Now that I've gotten a glimpse of Mea and her men, I NEED more. I cannot wait to see where this journey takes us. I'm practically howling at the moon in joyful anticipation.

Holy sugar-cubes!!! This was one hot read with a BAMF lead who has walls built so high, with a snarky attitude to match. Mea draws you in, with hints at a past that make you crave to know more. I love her sassiness and take no prisoners attitude, and feel like there are hints to a marshmallow under all those barriers.
Ulric and Raul are hot as all sin, and I cannot wait to get to know Felan better ;) Oli seems like an amazing character, but slightly underdeveloped - I'm hoping we see more of him in the next book.
Overall this was a thoroughly enjoyable read and am waiting for book 2 with bated breath :D

Good Novella, looking forward to what comes next.

This was a good short read, the characters were believable and the storyline is great. There is a lot going on behind Mea's "calm" exterior, and I want to learn more about her. When reading this I felt as if I walked in to watch a movie that was already been playing for a while. So it felt as if I should've already known these Mea and Oliver previous to the goings on in this novella. But despite this I very much enjoyed the men, the situations Mea puts herself through, the goings on in her head, and the serious topic that gets brought to light in the course of the story.

This book was a hard read for me due to some subject matters within it, but I braved it and came out of it mostly unscathed. I had no idea what the story was about but I was happy with the outcome. Mesa was a little hard to take. I know her backstory will shed some light on why she is the way she is and I’m hoping that I get it in book two. Through the whole story I could feel it gearing up towards a great reveal and I wasn’t wrong. I’m hoping to get some answers in the next book. I want more of Ulric, Raul & Felan.

Meh

Hmm. I'm not sure how to rate this one. On the one hand, Mea is a strong character who is unabashedly herself. On the other hand, Mea is kind of a jerk and difficult to like. I got tired of her antics quick. She needs to put some big girl panties in and deal with her drama. Also, why didn't the guys tell her that they knew each other? And the while one twin swapping out with the other when she's not paying attention was just gross. I'll probably check out the next one if I remember.

Feeling unsure

Storyline is different, Mea was trying for modeling which she had no luck then all of a sudden the story continues in a club with her best friend and drugs. She is bitter and rules by one night stands that she battles with as she meets 2 different guys that hang with wolves. I wasn't really drawn into the story I did like the sexy time scenes. I will probably get book 2 to see where exactly the story goes with that ending.

I enjoyed this book. Honestly at first I did not like Mea she seemed to self absorbed but as the book went on she grew on me. I guess once we learn more of her back story we will see why she is the way she is. The ending left on a cliffhanger and honestly I was left with more questions than answers but I like that in my books especially the first in a series. It makes me anxious for the next book. I definitely recommend giving this series a read.

Wow

Wow! This was an epic story about Andromeda aka Mea a party girl who likes no strings attached. I wasnt sure how to feel about her at first, but as the book went on, I got a better understanding of why she acted the way she did. This story has a great steam level. The ending left me breathless and craving the next installment. Well done!

I liked the book. I like her personality. But I don't like the stereotypical gay best friend and it was too short.

Well I didn't see that coming...

This short novella is a great introductory tale in to The Phases Phenomenon. Here we have the introduction of the FMC Andromeda (Mea to most) who lives in a world of secrets. She has her own way of dealing with the past, that is to ignore it. We also get to meet an array of male characters who play a significant part to her story. I truly love Oli, who really only wants the best for his BFF, but will that be enough?

Featuring the story told only in single perspective, you never feel like you are really missing out on any behind the scenes information that the FMC is not privy to. I also really love the clear cut difference between each characters personalities. Plus who doesn't love a well written steamy scene (and here we're spoilt with a couple!)

Can't wait to see what happens next after that cliffhanger!
