Dani
It was supposed to be a job, plain and simple.
But it became so much more than that. I fell hard for Michael Monroe and ruined my life in the process.
I lost everything I cared about. But in the end, I did what I came to do.
He's back with his family, starting to heal. And I’m left with a crippling addiction to that same charming, damaged boy-turned-man.

Michael
I have my family back, but I lost her.
I let her in more than anyone before. And now, she's gone, taking my secrets with her.
Part of me is happy she’s far away from me. The other part aches to be near her again.
When it comes to Dani, I don't mind this crippling addiction.

*Unbroken is part 2 of Michael and Dani's story. It's recommended that you read part 1, Unbreakable before reading this one.

You can't fight love

With Dani away from KC working for Cash Michael misses her everyday but believes he is still not good enough for her. Dani has her life together for the most part but her heart is still with her broken boy Michael. When they are finally in the same ace and the same time the sexual tension and emotions are too hard to resist. Misunderstandings and the usual Monroe drama add to the great story. The clues are all there that Gabbys books gonna be emotional.

I absolutely loved this story!!! I wish it was longer though! I wanted more of Michael and Dani! This story picks up a year after Unbreakable and you definitely need to read that book first. This is the second half of Michael and Dani's story. Dani has gotten a job in Texas and is working within the racing circuit still. She has been able to avoid Michael and has not been back to see the Monroe's after exploded. The characters grip you from beginning to end. They are written so well and are complex and complicated. This story deals with addiction and the journey that it is. It is so well done. The story flows really well and has plenty going on to hold your attention from beginning to end. We get to see Dani and Michael reconnect along with Dani and the rest of the Monroes. I absolutely love this series and these characters and I can never get enough! I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Michael and Dani and am hopeful to see more of them in the future. They did get their happy ending and it was awesome! Can't wait for more!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I love Nicole more with each book I read, and Unbroken is no different!! I absolutely love the Monroe's and those they have "adopted" into the family. After finishing Unbreakable, and the ending that broke your heart I couldn't wait for Unbroken to find out what was going to happen. This story takes place a year after Unbreakable ended. Michael is doing better after relapsing when Dani ran and never looked back, she is now working for Cash, Michael is now part of a racing team and trying to deal with his demons, being back with his family is helping, but he also feels the pressure of messing up, and disappointing everyone who he cares about and who helped him find his way back. Now, will Dani and Michael work things out, will they end up together? Will Dani get her best friend back? There are also some unexpected surprises in this book which I loved, I am telling everyone...READ THIS BOOK!!! Not just this book, but the whole series!! I can not wait to see what Nicole has for us next

This continuation of Michael and Dani’s story was one of the best and I know I seem to say that every time each story about this family just gets better. Michael and Dani haven’t seen each other in over a year she is working for Cash now as his PA and Michael has a blond bimbo named Morgan working for him. As much as Dani loves Michael she can only take so much and losing Cassie’s friendship put huge dents in her armor but Cash is determined to make Michael and Dani talk. Well of course Michael and Dani talk but as always it’s never quiet with this family and a lot of unknowns come to light. If you don’t read the whole series at least get Unbreakable and Unbroken they will convince you.

3.5 *

I liked that Dani and Michael got their HEA. I really enjoyed catching up with the other characters too - the banter between them all is so good.

We join Dani and Michael a year later from the previous book. They have both done some growing which is evident in how they deal with things. Michael did not deal with certain news well but he did redeem himself. I wanted a bit more in the book - too short for me.

I am very concerned about Gabby - Brandon is a ticking time bomb but can’t wait to read her book.

*4.5* It was a fab read as always from Nicole. Michael has certainly settled down in this one and Nicole’s writing about an addictive personality was pretty awesome! I would have liked a bit more story and tension with the sexy times for Michael and Dani, maybe another problem to triumph over, but that is purely my preference and no reflection on the writing style. It felt a bit like a tidy round up whilst setting the scene for another couple of character arcs rather than a book in itself. I don’t want to sound too harsh though as I still really enjoyed it.

*Description of intro of story only at bottom no true spoilers*
Must read Unbreakable first! This is part 2 of Michael and Dani's story.

So, I hate cliff hangers and have been barely clinging to life since the end of the last book. Lucky for you reading this, the new book releases on July 26, so either your wait is about to end or you are a lucky bitch who hadn't read the prior book and get to binge read the whole story at once without it seriously damaging you in the process.

I hope the author reads this. I. Nearly. Died.

On to this book. It was so well done that I caution you to start it if you need to adult in any fashion for the rest of the day. It is really hard to put down.

Dani has heartbrokenly taken the job with Cash and is of course excellent at it, and they have become close friends in the process. This is really special as she lost everything when she left. Michael and her best friend. You find out a lot more about Cash, and honestly I cannot freaking wait for that man's story.

Anyhow, Dani is living day to day and has a good support system in Cash, but her heart is a mess. In her absence, Micheal has appeared to have matured, become a successful driver, stayed clean and has hired Dani's replacement who is blond and hot and totally his typical type. Dani has actively avoided Michael for a year with great difficulty. This memorial race she not only runs into Michael, but his entire damn family.

When Dani spots Michael going into the bathrooms, closely followed by Brandon (nightmare from hell addict from his past) she gets worried and follows him in. Tension builds and things heat up from there, but Michael plays it wrong. Then enters his hot new assistant to further ruin everything.

That's it for spoilers. You got to read this story. It is soooooo good and soooo angsty and such a proper tribute to these two characters. It of course has a great storyline with ups and downs and twists and not one slow part or lag. I just don't want to spoil it for you. You see the extended Monroe family and they add to the great story.

(Also. I call book boyfriend for Cash when that comes out. Wow!)

Unbroken picks up where Unbreakable left off. What I really like about this story is the author didn’t sugar coat this story. It wasn’t an instant reconnection or happily ever after. Life doesn’t work that way. Both Michael and Dani have issues and complications that have to be worked through before any reconnection should take place. Like I said, this is a very real life like story. By that I mean, in real life people don’t always follow what they should do, neither do Michael and Dani. However, both have definitely grown up and are fighting like hell to be better.

We also get answers to questions that were left unresolved in Unbreakable and get to reconnect with characters we met in other books. It was nice to dig a little deeper into Cash’s past and I can definitely see more intrigue coming by way of Brandon’s story involving Gabby.

Don’t worry you get “all the feels” in this story; smiles, sweetness, sexiness, a few tears, heat, love, devotion (which may be my favorite) and hope.

I love that Dani is such a strong, independent woman even with all her issues. Michael is growing into his own and learning that happiness doesn’t come overnight and problems just don’t evaporate. Sometimes, you have to deal with the past before you can move forward. That doesn’t mean you still won’t be haunted but it doesn’t have to define who you are.

This is a fast read, enhanced by the fact that it’s a story you don’t want to put down. I really enjoyed this book.

Sigh. When Dani left Michael, my heart broke. It’s been a year, they both have created lives away from each other but the feelings remain. When they finally face each other again, can they find forgiveness? Is Michael ready to accept that he is lovable and he can love someone else? I love that Michael has finally embraced his amazing family again and has put forth the work to get clean to have the life he wants. Dani lost so much by helping Michael and keeping that secret. She is a fighter, no matter what adversity is thrown her way, she finds the strength to overcome. I loved when she saw Cassie again for the first time, what a great moment for them both. This is a true testament that love can come without conditions or limitations, it can handle all the ups and downs and be stronger for it. I love spending time with the Monroe family, they feel like family as I get to experience all the highs and lows of their daily lives. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

So, this is book two and the conclusion to Unbreakable- Dani and Michael's story. These 2 are the only Monroe books I've read and I didn't feel the need to read the others in order to read these, but I still may go back and do it for enjoyment! Unbroken picks up where Unbreakable left off. Dani and Michael have gone their separate ways but keep running into each other. They have such an attraction to each other that you just know when they give in to what they want, it'll be super sexy! I like how Michael wants to be a better man for Dani. He knows how he feels but he wants to be sure he's able to give her what she deserves. Dani is definitely one tough chick! She is most certainly portrayed as a strong and determined heroine and I like how she doesn't pine after Michael. There are some surprises in this one and an ending that is satisfying but definitely leaves you wanting more of the Monroes!!

Unbroken is the continuation to Dani and Micheal's story from Unbreakable, and what an emotional ending to their love story. After losing her best friend and the people closest to her because of Micheal, Dani moves to Dallas becoming Cash's PA for a year. She keeps her distance from Micheal at races watching from afar his accomplishments and healing process. Everything seems to go as planed, he has his family back while she has no one.

Their reunion was nothing more than an emotional fix again, but this time acknowledging their feelings from their past and present ends in resolving the hurt. At the end, they do have a happy ending but that was a long time coming. These two characters couldn't be more perfect for each other. I LOVED every emotional part of this book and can't wait to read more of this series.

Dani and Michael take us on another emotional ride a year later after Dani ran...
But she ran without looking back. Not after being treated like trash by the people she cared most about!

Michael is still fighting his demons, Dani is trying to resist him... but with both of them struggling to resist each other, they can’t help but lose the battle!

“You confuse me in every single way. But when we kiss, everything seems so clear.”
If that doesn’t sum us up, I don’t know what does.

And it certainly does sum them up.

They take away each other’s pain, while trying not to cause more.

Big changes for both of them happen and their story is such a beautiful read to the sad things that have happened to them in the past.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Michael and Dani, where to start? Holy wow!

I was super excited for this book and I wasn't disappointed.

This books picks up a year after the last one ended. It was great to see how each character had grown into themselves and their families. We got loads more Monroe family in this book and that was one of my favourite parts.

Michael has overcome so much but still battling his demons. And Dani cannot resist continuing to help him. Of course the would reunite on some level but I definitely didn't expect it to be on the level it turned out to be.

Another 5 star read from Nicole and I can't wait for her next release!

Ah! I have been impatiently waiting for this book to come out and it did not disappoint!

Michael and Dani have been through so much in their lives that there is so much push and pull between them. They start to fall in love and they pull away the ending of Unbreakable hurt my heart (seriously). Thankfully that was rectified in this book. I am so glad that Michael and Dani were able to deal with what has happened in their lives and between them and chose love and happiness.

This book is a must read!

I’ve always been a fan of the Monroe series and Unbroken is no different! I’m so glad that I finally got to read Michael’s story! He’s been a favorite since the beginning at only 10 years old. The fact that Nicole tried to break him had me telling her that I was going to bubble wrap him and she could only have him back if she was nice to him.. he finally got his HEA and I’m so excited to see what she does next!!!

*Read Unbreakable(#8) first*

"And what, exactly, does Cash have you doing these days?"
"You know exactly what the job entails, Micheal." I can play his games.
"Is that so?" His finger drags along my jaw, and I shiver at his touch.
"So, you do everything for him you did for me?"

For those of you that had a mini meltdown or a full out tantrum at the end of Unbreakable (let's face, it I would have if I didn't already have Unbroken on my kindle app as I'm playing catch up for Nicole new release ARC of Misbehaved)...fear not as Michael and Dani story continues a year later where the drama's and revelations keep on unfolding...

I hate to love you, but I do. Her words form that night are a dagger to my heart

So, after leaving the hospital with the bomb drop that Michael is in fact back home and has been for a couple of months. Coming to blows with his sister and her best friend Cassie, Dani decides to take Cash up on his offer and leaves to work for him. Michael who is already struggling deep down now has to face his family, who forgive him and welcome him back with open arms. Good job too with the ever growing family Monroes and with his career about to take off Michael really does have his hands full. Not to mention his old friend sniffing around his sister Gabby...

After two years of being on the run, I nearly forgot what it's like to be a Monroe. But this is not a family you want to fuck with, because we always have plenty of backup.

So one year later and Michael is a rookie race car driver flying high, making a name for himself, with a new blonde assistant Morgan (Jay's younger sister), supporting charities and changing his life around, proving to everyone that you can change but long as you put the effect in. Yet he still sees Dani and will only see Dani, remembering every nights they shared together and the night she left him. Deep down Michael knows that there will never be anyone but Dani that he wants in his life. The one fix that he can't give up. Michael is still on the road to recovery and no matter how fast he races towards that checkered flag, Dani may still be out of reach…

"You miss my body, but I miss your soul." I move my lips to his ear, whispering through tears, "And that's the difference." I will not go down this road again.

Working for Cash has definitely kept Dani busy this past year and they have formed a close friendship...mainly Dani kicking his sweet arse into shape of a morning. But she can't stop her mind from traveling back to those nights in the trailer with the one person who's gotten underneath her skin and broken down her defences. With the racing season in full swing all eyes are on the racers, even though Dani avoided Michael she's about to come face to face with he man that drove off with her heart.

"I'd give anything to put her back together, but I don't know if I'm capable."
"She doesn't need a prince to swoop in and fix her. She's not broken Michael, she freely gave that piece to you because she sees something in you. Just please don't hurt her again. She's doing so well."

The passion between these two can't stay dormant for long and soon they are burning up the pages needing each other more than ever. But with another twist of fate, will this see them crossing the finish line together or leaving one of them standing alone in the stands?

"Beg me. Say please."
"I don't think so. This time," my lips caress his softly for only a moment,"It's your turn to beg." My moves to his ear, as I grind against him. "Tell me how badly you want me."
"So fucking bad."
"You're gonna have to do better than that, Monroe. Beg. Me."

Michael & Dani <3 my god these two are fire together! The passion has only grown between these two and they have both grown as a couple too. Their relationship is far from easy, dealing with their own issues and handling everyone else's. The relationship between Dani and Cash is purely friendship, was refreshing to see with the odd flirtation-let's face it Cash is a flirt and we're falling for him. Seems Cash has a story to tell with a dark history and we get to find that out in this story meeting another new face. This of course a Monroe story, so the ever growing clan here with the bromance banter, girly catch ups and shoulders to lean on. A friend from the past is set on revenge against Michael and knows just how to worm his way into their eyesight.

"Love doesn't wait for you to get your life together, it's along for the ride."

They've barely seen each other in over a year and now it's racing season...the sparks are gonna fly on and off the track! So buckle everyone, because it's going to be a bumpy ride!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

Michael and Dani..
When I read their story in Unbreakable I fell in love. Then Nicole did me dirty and left me hanging waiting for this book. I waited and waited and oh man was it worth the wait.

We left off work Dani pouring her heart out to Michael. Michael didn't do anything about it. Dani left with Cash to start a new job and get away from Michael. Michael is still trying to get his life together and is starting a great racing career. Dani avoids him as much as she can but sometimes it just can't be helped. Even though she avoids him doesn't mean she still doesn't love him. When she sees Brandon being a bother to Michael she can't help but worry about him. Then the avoidance is over. Once They start old habits they can't be stopped. Throw in family, friends and other drama, there's no denying they needed each other.

One of my favorite Lines ...
“You confuse me in every single way. But when we kiss, everything seems so clear.” If that doesn’t sum us up, I don’t know what does. My lips crash against her again as I hoist her up, her legs wrapped around me, and we make our way to the bed. It doesn’t make sense. It’s messy. It’s complicated as ****. But that’s just us.

It really does just sum them up. I love them so much. I also loved how you got to understand cash a little bit more too. I love that Cash and Dani are such good friends now too.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm only giving 4 stars because I felt like I wanted more of the book I felt like it ended fast..

Now I’ll be kept wondering about Gabby..

I highly recommend this book. If you haven't read Unbreakable you need to read that one first.

we all needed to know what happened with Dani and Michael, and Nicole didn’t disappoint with her words. It’s no secret that I wasn’t Dani’s biggest fan in previous books, but hell, she was a troubled teen, she didn’t have the greatest upbringing, she never felt like she was cared for by any one else other than staff, that is until she met the Monroes. I’ve always rooted for Michael, since he was a nerdy little boy, and then in to a troubled teen himself, messing with drugs and getting high. Dani helped him keep clean until she got verbal abuse off the people she called family. A year later and Dani is finally ready to face the Monroes again, and it’s probably the best decision she’s made, this book seriously played havoc with my emotions, my heart hurt, then my blood boiled, then everything got made better again. There were enough things in the way to keep Dani and Micheal apart but they proved that they were stronger than that, instead of just using each other carnally, they embraced the feelings that were developing and managed, together, to be able to deal with their pasts.
I need more books from the Monroes! Within these 9 books we have watched them grow in to the beautiful dysfunctional family they love to be.

This is the much anticipated sequel to Unbreakable - it is the continuation of Dani and Michael's story and book 1 should be read first - you won't really be able to figure out everything that you missed if you start here, you need to start with book 1. I loved this book, I was on the edge of my seat while reading this one so that I could see what happened to the perfect couple who weren't together...I'm not gonna lie - I yelled, cried, cursed the author (sorry Nicole), yelled some more and then finally the author redeemed herself....You can't help but root for the two of them - both for their battling addictions and as a couple.
Be prepared for a book hangover...this book, the characters and the Monroe Family will stay with you long after you have finished the book. This book is one of those books that you finish reading and then you instantly want to start reading it again to see what you missed when you zoomed through the book the first time! It is a must read and this series is a must read - if you haven't read all of the books in this series, you need to go and one-click them all - you will feel like you are a part of this family! My favorite (so far)!!!

I’m so in love with these characters!

Dani ran..

The Monroe’s treated her like trash and she ran.

Cass her best friend turned her back on her when she found out Dani knew her brother’s whereabouts.
She flipped when she found out Michael and Dani had been together.

Dani told Michael she loved him and he couldn’t respond likewise. So she ran.

A year later and Dani has her life together. She has a job she’s good at. She’s been able to stay clear of Michael all year till today.

Michael couldn’t tell her how he felt so he let her run. He wasn’t good enough, not in a good spot. He had too much he had to correct and too many things to get straight. He couldn’t be what she would need.

She’s avoided him for a year, until now. One year later and the sparks are still there.

There’s always going to be obstacles in their path.. can they overcome them?

Sometimes a love story is filled with so many turns, you just have to buckle up and enjoy the ride!

You have to read the rest of Michael and Dani’s story.

This series never gets old, the characters in it have a special place in my heart and it’s almost like taking a journey with them as they grow up.

If you have not read this series at all then stop reading this review and go get book 1 Unsocial trust me it’s so go and as each book releases it gets better.

We first met Michael way back when he was just a kid and now he’s all grown up. I will tell you that even though when I read the first book of his story I was apprehensive about him and Dani. But of course feel in love with them together only to have Nicole leave me reeling at at the end.

And now we have their conclusion and this book gives us a whole lotta of angst. Nicole also throw a bit of a bomb at us just when we think things are going smoothly. Their relationship started out messy and took us through a rollercoaster.

I loved this book I love this series and I love these characters. I’m not ready for this to be over knowing that there is one more book left and can only thing thank god for the spinoff series she’s started.
