Idelle has just inherited her clan’s Georgian home in New Town Edinburgh, and her great-aunt has left her with the task of finding a lost document that she’s convinced is behind a secret panel. However, when she finds the panel, she tumbles into the past and meets a cousin, who vows to help her find what she needs in 1798 Edinburgh... and decides to find what she herself needs in 2018!
I loved this adorable prequel to Moira and Idelle’s story, much more than I anticipated! When Idelle’s aunt dies, she inherits her Scottish clan’s property, and searches the house for the deed. She happens into a time travel portal and goes back in time to meet her somewhat mischievous and adventurous cousin, Moira. History, scenery, a nice story, and lovely heroines make this a great teaser for the series, which I will definitely be reading!
This is the first book of Ms Bedwin’s I have read. It was a nice short time travel story. It gave you a glimpse into life in the 1700’s in Edinburgh. There was no romance but this book set up a romance in the next story to come. Great for a quick light read.
