Dale Harris has enough on his plate without his annoying, sexy neighbor added to the mix. She’s loud, careless, and manages to get on Dale’s every single nerve. The noise sure isn’t helping, not with the nightmares his precious little daughter has. He’d do anything to take them away. But he’s stuck in this neighborhood, and even worse, he can’t stop looking at his loud neighbor, Clare. Why the hell does she have to be so pretty?
Clare Delaney can appreciate Dale Harris’ good looks—and that annoys her because he doesn’t seem interested, and even if he did… No, she just can’t date this annoying single dad, no matter how hot he is, and that’s that. Even if she loves his daughter as if she were her own. Even if the chemistry seems off the charts. Two people who can’t stop arguing should never hop into bed together.
So why do their worlds keep colliding, sparks flying? Could it be that opposites attract after all?
Just a free-lance lover of the written word and fictional worlds... Everyone has that one perfect book boyfriend... I wanted my own, so... Here we are!
I've been writing since I figured guys in real life don't do what I want them to do, and there is nithing better than to write the stuff you like... Until I realized that THOSE boys don't do what you want them to do, either... *sighs*
I liked a good enemies to lovers story, but I really felt in the beginning and throughout the book, actually, that these two really hated each other. I really couldn't see then falling for each other. And the dad was in denial the entire book at the end I thought she gave into him so easily. There wasn't really an explanation of why the daughter some up screaming all the time. Since the dad couldn't sleep and she did this every night shouldn't he gave gotten her professional help? What a crappy dad!

Well well well... 4 solid stars for this strong heroine! Hero was coward and asshole. No stars for him. I liked a lot this book. Started to read second one from this author already!
A good read for people who are in to the series recommend highly can't wait for the next one of the series a really enjoyable read but quick shaping up to be a enjoyable series must read the next one of the series
Love. Hate. Fighting. Attraction and Lust. Enemies to Lovers. I loved this story about Dale and Clare, they were neighbors that loved to hate each other their one thing in common? They both loved Dale's daughter Sally. Clare was Dales babysitter for Sally when he needed someone he trusted with his daughter. Dale lost his wife years ago in a fatal car accident and never wanted to fall for another woman again, one night stands were all he committed to.... that was until Clare started to get under his skin. Clare couldn't stand Dale, sure he was attractive (she wasn't blind) but he annoyed her to the point that she had to have a go at him every time she was around him and throwing plates at him wasn't off the table either LOL. Then suddenly everything shifted, their attraction to one another became stronger and Dale also realized the time Sally stayed at Clare's house the nightmares stopped, she was calmer, happier. This was a slow burn and i loved the way things all came together i really enjoyed Dale and Clare's story.
Dale Harris has struggled since his wife died in a car accident. Between work, his young daughter and her nightly nightmares he hardly sleeps and is sanity is hanging by a thread throw in his noisy, loud, annoying neighbor and he is close to snapping.
Clare Delaney cant stand her neighbor he is a mean shrew who is always yelling at her. She dont care how good looking he may be. His only saving grace is his adorable daughter. Despite fighting all the time the two end up in bed and start try a FWB relation but those never work and when it ends both are thrown by missing the other. Will they be able to fight through the fighting to find a HEA?
It was a good read. Not great. Cute kid. Nice love/hate romance type book. Not a big cast of secondary characters. Still a good read but to me, nothing great.
I read it in a flash. It took me just 80 minutes to finish the book. I think publisher missed printing 70-80 pages in the end or they were lost from the manuscript.
Well, jokes apart! Sam is really a talented author and this you must know why because of her diversified profile. She wrote in a thriller genre where there is a lot of fight and demons and she also wrote beautiful stories with pure love in them. This can only be in those who are actually awesome and the most important part present themselves through their writing.
The characters of the story are sweet and this story definitely have the capacity to end up in a movie, just think about it Sam writing screen play and dialogues for the movie too!
Dale single father to his daughter Sally. She has nightmares and he is looking for a a little rest and a woman to help with her. Claire their next door neighbor and they can't stand each other. One night changes all that and from there this book takes you on an emotional roller-coaster read, that will have you breathless. You will have tears in your eyes and your heart will break a little, but you won't be disappointed. I so can't wait to read more form this author.
Not everyone will get past the one or two missing words or grammar issues but they are so light they didn't bother me. The story line was a bit rushed and not overly perfect. The punchline was easy to see. But it was a good story in the way of simple easy enjoyable Tea time reads.
To the author I want to say... This was good and would be a great base for a full, fleshed out, more in-depth story.
So I gotta say it. I freaking LOVE this novella from Sam. It had everything you could want from a great contemp romance book all wrapped in an incredible package, The chemistry is amazing, you can’t help but get emotionally involved and overall it just tugs at your every heart string, whether you want it or not. READ IT PEOPLE!! That’s all I gotta say.
A sweet story with a great happy ending. However the story was a bit too basic for me, there was great potential to expand the story, but I understand it was a novella and so was limited in its length. I struggled with the anger and hate between the two characters at the start, I much preferred when they were loving in each other. There is indeed a fine line between love and hate.
T I enjoyed this story between Clare and Dale. These two are neighbors and they hate each other or so they think. Dale little girl Sally steals Clare heart but can the calm she brings to Sally during her nightmares show Dale there is more to his neighbor then her triggering his anger. These two has chemistry, so sit back and enjoy
This was a great story. I love that it was not fast paced and Clare is a bit different and quirky. It's good that Dale finally came to his senses and the dog helping with Sally's nightmare was great... The only issue I had was that the author didn't say anything about what was done to the nanny after her behaviour. Overall it was a wonderful story.
This was a good book but I found it in some parts lacking in chemistry between the two main characters . And the lil girl salley who suffered from debilitating nightmares all of a sudden just stopped having them anymore and no explanation as to why she suffered with them in the first place. Apart from that it was ok .
Dale was raising his little girl alone after his wife passed. Clare was single after her divorce. She got on his nerves, he was dealing with his daughters nightmare. They find a little girl needs them both.
Grumpy, Yet Lovable! Dale... He's a bit of a grumpy arsehole, yet I couldn't help but love him. This single dad novella was exactly what I needed. I loved everything about it and couldn't put it down until I'd finished it.
I really enjoyed this story. It was short but it was packed with funny moments and sweet moments. The characters seemed to hate each other at first but then the emotions & chemistry explode and bring a great story out.
Awesome hate to love book . I have a soft spot for people who treat child that our not there like they are Absoulty a must read you'll laugh and cry perfect combination for a book
