Brynn thinks she's finally fought her way out of quiet Eureka Springs and into her destiny. Then, in less than the beat of a breath, tragedy derails her quick and easy getaway. Now she’s stuck in the little town she tried so hard to escape.
Mic discovered his version of success without having to step outside his own backyard. When Brynn returns home, his life is shaken by things he hasn’t felt since she left. It’s going to take everything he's got to stay away from the girl who wanted more then he or Eureka Springs could ever offer.
I don't love romance novels (because they're barf), but I do love supporting family friendly literature, friends who are authors, local-to-me authors, and undiscovered authors who deserve to be known.
So when a talented, local friend publishes her first book that is content aware AND it's great, it's basically a perfect storm and I can't stay away.
Even if it is a kissing book...
Forgetting You is a cute story about childhood best friends who grew up and apart and watched what might have been slip through their grasp--only to get a second chance at first love six years later. I enjoyed that the characters grew, I enjoyed that the plot pulled me along, and I even enjoyed the believable romance.
It's a story made for the Hallmark Channel, right down to the kiss as the credits roll.
The story is set in beautiful Eureka Springs, a too-picturesque-to-be-true town built into the hills of the Ozark Mountains. It's a town that was made to be written about, and this book does a great job of turning the town into another character to drive the plot.
A rarity for romance, Forgetting You keeps the steam rated PG, which I appreciate. There are several instances of shirtless guy appreciation, but that's about as risque you'll find. I measure these things on whether my teenage daughter and I would be comfortable reading the content together, and I say this story would be best for 16 and up. These are still adults having adult interactions and adult experiences, after all.
I enjoyed Forgetting You, and I bet fans of clean romance will enjoy it as well.
I really enjoyed this book! I haven’t read a sweet clean romance in awhile so this was a nice change. The narrator did a wonderful job and put a lot of emotion into the characters. You have the evil mother who will not take no for an answer trying to run someone’s life the character you love to hate. I love this little town where everyone knows everyone else, I grew up like that and I miss it. The story was well written with the ups and downs that come with everyday life. I look forward to more from this author as I have never read any of her books before.
I received a free copy of this audio book for an honest review from StoryOrigin.
This is book 2 in the Eureka in Love series and what a sweet romance read. It's listed as a friends to lovers romance and it is but it's also a small town romance too. Heart warming and well written, good flow to the story line. Narration was well done and easy to listen and follow. Clean with humor and heartbreak and the ultimate HEA, this book follows the story of opera singer, Brynn and Mic - aka Cosmic, I really love that name! Overall a beautiful read / listen!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. *this review is based on the audio version of this read
I really enjoyed this audiobook! The story had in-depth conflicts from a meddling mother to guilt and death. I wondered if the couple would ever get together as roadblocks appeared left and right. There was a lot to the story but it moved along quickly, not feel drawn out at all. The narrator did a fantastic job with the character voices and portraying emotions in their speech. She really brought the story to life! Great audio book from start to finish!
Great storyline, while I love the character development at times I was distracted by typos. Since different authors write books in this series I will continue to read.
This is the second book of this series I've read lately (third total) and again - the story and the characters are sweet. It's a fun, quick read (or listen, in my case), perfect for lazy summer days. I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
