When we hear the word greed, we think of money. With gluttony, we imagine food. There are other desires we crave in excess, and I know them firsthand. I’ve become greedy for attention and love. I’m gluttonous for sex that’s taboo. I’m anchored to this new, fascinating life, but I should’ve known it was too good to be true. The tide’s crashing in, and I fear what it will take as punishment for my overindulgence. There are some storms anchors can’t weather.
Anchored (Book One of The Crashing Tides Duet) must be read prior. This novel contains explicit language and graphic sex, including one MFM ménage scene.
Ruby Rowe began writing in January of 2013 under the pen name Scarlet Wolfe, releasing contemporary and young adult. She soon tried her hand at writing erotica romance and fell in love with the genre. The pen name Ruby Rowe came about when she decided it best to keep her racier books separate from her young adult romances. When not writing, Ruby reads naughty books about possessive, hot alpha males. She has an addiction to Pinterest, pinning all the sensual photos she can find. She loves bacon, coffee, and other flavors of ice cream besides vanilla. ;) She hopes her writing will allow her readers a reprieve from the real world, giving them an opportunity to live out their fantasies.
I was lucky enough to be a Beta reader on this book & I feel really grateful. Ruby Rowe is an amazing author with an amazing ability to make you think that her books are real life. This amazing book will keep you interested and on the edge of your seat. The emotions that you feel when reading not just this book but Anchored too range from hilarious to crying your eyes out. Sailor, Jake and Elliott have a great chemistry and are each amazing in their own way. Sailor is the girl that has to overcome a lot in her life. Elliott is the guy who feels he doesn't deserve to be happy, the bad boy personality. Jake is the fun loving, feelings on the shirt sleeve type of guy. The three of them together is some times down to earth, fun, exciting and explosive. Will Sailor, Jake and Elliott remain a triad or will Sailor end up with just one of them? Read today to find out. You won't be sorry! Ruby Rowe has done it again with another amazing story! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great love story.
Wow!! I loved this book!! I had So many emotions throughout. Just when you think you know something you Don’t! Sailor, Jake and Elliott have an amazing story that everyone needs to read. Don’t want to give anything away! A MUST READ!!
Since discovering her work, I have fallen in love with everything Ruby Rowe puts on paper. Her stories pull you in and have a way of standing out in a sea of Romance novels that tend to all have similar themes. The Crashing Tides duet is no different. She has found a way to tell the story of new love, love rekindled and what unfolds between three souls when they become anchored to one another at different points in their lives.
Since the conclusion of Adrift, I’ve been desperate to know what will come of this love triangle and how their story will end. I fell in love with Sailor, Jake and Elliott and I must say, Ruby has found a way to wrap up their story in a way that truly shows everyone happy. This book is packed with so much angst that I couldn’t wait to see how it all played out! Through the highs and lows, this trio makes it work and fights every battle that comes their way. The chemistry between them deepens drastically in the 2nd part of the duet, and with twists around every corner, you simply won’t know what to expect next. This book made me happy, euphoric, unsure and even devastated at times.
Something must be said for an author that truly leaves you guessing the outcome the entire book. Through twists and turns, ups and downs, I found myself trying to predict the ending, only to be surprised around every corner. Never knowing what to expect! And that alone, proves for amazing writing!
What an amazing, hold your breath til the last page romance. Bravo Ruby on another story so well told I am still having a hard time moving on. I felt so connected to these characters and invested so much time into them, that they are the true definition of what it’s like to experience a book hangover.
Wow, just Wow! This is such a great book and conclusion to Sailor, Elliott and Jake's story. It picks up where book one ends. The three are learning to live together and find a comfortable harmony with one another. All are still dealing with personal feelings about what their relationship means for them. There is also some personal issues going on which they come together to support one one another with. Sailor and Elliott seem to have found a way to deal with and forgive one another for what happened in their past. All Jake wants is for Sailor to be happy and will do what it takes to see that she is. This is such a well written story and I love seeing how the relationships between the three evolve along the way. As Jake's mother Jeanine said..."our souls choose who to love. It would be a dishonor to put stipulations on such a wondrous and inexplicable decision." This story will have you at the edge of your seat wondering how it will end. I must say I was quite surprised when I found out. Pleasantly surprised! Ruby has a way of telling a story that has you invested from the beginning. This one definitely had a range of feelings in it. Bravo Ruby! Another hit!
Much like Anchored, I just couldn't put this book down... And now I have a screaming headache due to all the fluids I lost from my leaky eyes. I'm serious. It wasn't pretty either. I straight-up ugly-cried while the piles of snotty tissues grew around me through the last half of this book... I will say that it didn't end the way I wanted it to. I wanted her to end up with the other guy exclusively. Very bittersweet. Ruby Rowe's books evoke so much emotion in me that I often find myself in tears. She is a brilliant writer as evidenced by the fact that the characters pull you in and you can't help but fall in love with them. I find it rare for a writer to keep me invested in the entire story, and even though it didn't turn out the way I wanted, and I'm a little butthurt, I still have to give this book rave reviews... Grab a couple boxes of tissues, and stay hydrated when you read this one!

Adrift begins where its previous book, Anchored, leaves off... with three very likable characters navigating the tough journey to finding and understanding love that lasts a lifetime. Jake, Sailor and Elliott return once again in Adrift to make readers laugh at sweet silliness and funny conversations, cry with sympathy and sorrow, and gasp at shocking surprises. These characters have a LOT of story left to tell- and this is one yarn Ruby Rowe’s fans will be totally in love with!
If you are looking for a well-written, suspenseful, sentimental yet funny, serious yet relatable, romantic yet super-sexy read... pull up Anchored. Then, let yourself go Adrift for a while and embark on a journey of hope, fear, possibilities, complications, and glorious love. Your heart and your soul will have a beautiful trip💜!
Book 1 left me divided between Jake and Elliott, but after couple chapters I was all Team Jake. Sailor and her guys go thru so much in this one. Relationships and feelings were tested several times but you get to see the love and respect all three have for each other.
There are several times that your heart will skip several beats and you won’t know the outcome until the very end. This one definitely had me turning the pages and not wanting to put it down. I love all 3 of them but I’m more biased towards Jake when it comes to Sailor. She’s grown so much and it’s good to see her sticking up for herself once in a while.
The ending I enjoyed but the epilogue was my favorite. I still think there is more in store for this trio and I wouldn’t mind reading more about their unique relationship.
This is an emotionally gripping story. And while I know the ending was great for others, it’s not what I wanted for them. I was a bit gutted if I’m honest. That said - the ending does make sense for the characters and it was unexpected. It’s beautiful in its own flawed way. So my want for them is simply a personal preference. The way the emotions are conveyed and jumbled make complete sense for a story like this and I was glad to see an author tackle the gritty parts glossed over in other similar types of stories. You get far more depth out of these characters. It felt like it came full circle. First time I’ve had the chance to read this author and I’m really impressed.
Finally we get to see how this triad relationship concludes. Sailor, Jake and Elliott have a great story to tell. Sailor never thought she could love 2 men at the same time, but this relationship comes with doubt, love and friendship. They go through the ups and downs, some decisions need to be made, will the three of them come together to make this work, can they see what's right in front of them to get their HEA. Take a chance and read their story.
Some people will hate it and say it’s a book with cheating.... IT IS NOT !!!!! They’re all open and honest with each other !!! Can this kinda relationship work???? Yes it can but not when the woman has stronger feelings for one of the guys. It all worked out perfectly .... sometimes life brings the past back into our lives for keeps and sometimes it’s to help us heal and move on.... Life is funny that way .... But everything happens for a reason !!!!!
this will contain spoilers, read cautiously...Not sure how I feel about where this story ended up. I'm glad they all found love, but sad it wasn't with each other. Was it the best outcome? Maybe. Everyone seems happy, but I'm not joyous about it. I feel something was lost. All that being said, this was a good story. I couldn't put my kindle down...lol. Thanks Ruby!
Wow! Ruby does it again with another fantastic book! Adrift is second book to Anchored, which must be read first. I wasn't sure the direction she was going and was in suspense as I read, but satisfied with the ending to the story of Jake, Elliot and Sailor. I highly recommend you read all of Ruby's books!
Definitely not predictable! This is an amazing duet. Even though its a mfm i would recommend it to anyone. I could not have guessed how this series was gonna go no matter how many times i thought i had the ending pegged. I was wrong every time i thought i knew what was coming. I absolutely love reads like this. Ruby is just an amazing author like that!!
I have never given the second book in a duet a one star rating after giving the first one a five. But I'm afraid Ms. Rowe should have just written Anchored as a stand alone. There was no reason to write Adrift because that's truly what happened to the characters. That was no happy ending in my opinion. Elliot and Sailor were soulmates.
So the story continues! This was a page turner and l wanted to see where this went! Loved this love triangle relationship between Sailor, Jake and Elliott! Sure this relationship is unconventional, rare and different! I didn't believe it would end like it did but l loved all of this!
So this book has ne going through all the emotions. I was sad, excited, I cried, I jumped for joy. I went through it all and I absolutely loved the book. Please please keep writing I love it.
Totally different way than I thought this was going to end. At first I was irritated but then it made sense. Not your typical love triangle or poly relationship. I appreciate that it wasn't a cookie cutter storyline.
This book. So amazing. And the ending..... it’s what I wanted. And so many surprises and twists and turns and shake ups. And “ say what” ... And Jake, Jake Jake. My new main man Jake. Did I mention this duet is worth reading just for Jake? Thank you for the new BB Ms. Rowe
Great conclusion to this duet. Absolutely loved these characters! Ms. Rowe delivered every emotion from complicated to heartwarming to off the charts chemistry. Highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic. The skill in Ruby’s writing is amazing. Such a heart wrenching book that is written so so well. I loved it. I highly recommend. Well done Ruby, I wish I could give more stars.
What a perfect ending! I really wondered which direction this story would take at the end of book one. I was NOT disappointed! This ended EXACTLY how I would've liked!
