The Fidelity World

Clayton Andrews is a loyal bodyguard and driver. With his large muscular frame and background in law enforcement, his role as protector is fitting. But not everything is what it seems, and when things begin to unravel, she’s unsure if he’s the reason. Clayton and Lacy’s paths have crossed before, and it’s not long before their brief encounter from the past comes rushing back. Without letting on to their similar interests in finding out the shady truths about Magnolia Woods, they unintentionally set in motion events that could cause them both harm. Will the two learn the truth without jeopardizing his mission and her sanity, or will they learn that some truths belong hidden?

About the author

TL Mayhew is a Contemporary and Dark Romance writer from Nebraska. Her love for reading started back in elementary school when her favorite books, The Black Stallion, Black Beauty and Misty of Chincoteague all seemed to have one theme... a horse as the leading character. It's fair to say that since then her reading tastes have changed and now, instead of a horse as the leading character it's a hot alpha.

In high school TL took a creative writing class where she received high praise for her work. At that same time though, boys caught her interest and any urge to write went via the way side.

It wasn't until she married and had two kids, that TL put any thought in to writing. And even then it was close to a year before any words were put on paper. Amazingly those words were the direct result of a question "Do you want to give it a try?" from an Author TL idolizes. If it weren't for that question she may never have realized her love for writing and wouldn't have her first work releasing in January 2018.

Congratulations to Author T.L. Mayhew on her Debut Book!!! Can’t wait to see how she grows in her writing career.

Clayton Andrews is on location working his latest bodyguard job in Savannah, GA. While staking out the place, out comes a beautiful woman who looks so familiar. Jotting down her license plate, he makes a mental note to find out who this woman is.

Lacy has found herself in Savannah working as a nursing aide. Moving here to help take care of her mother who was admitted to the nursing facility. Leaving one night, she feels someone watching her.

Clayton and Lacy have history. Now that they are reunited, sparks fly quickly. Moving at a pace quicker than an indy car on race day. While there are twist and turns in this book, I don’t feel like we got enough of the background stories to make this book all that it could have been.

Belong by T.L. Mayhew is a fantastic read!
It was so interesting learning a little about Clayton Andrews background; so well written and is such a great addition to the Fidelity World.
Clayton and Lacys' connection is electric from the very beginning...the jolt of energy they feel as they touch has not lost any of the potency since years ago when they first met.
Besides experiencing the instant attraction and the fast-growing relationship between these two, the story had me feeling grounded with the suspenseful plot.
Intrigue, betrayal, loyalty and love.
On a mission...in a race against time...my pulse pounding

This debut novella by TL Mayhew shows great promise from this new author. While writing in the Fidelity Kindle World, Ms. Mayhew spins a tale of suspense and intrigue set against an action packed backdrop. I thoroughly enjoy this book, even though I've not read any of Althea Romig's books. However, I'm anxious to start.
Clayton and Lacy briefly met years ago and a spark ignited. Time and career goals changed and the couple is unexpectedly brought together in a situation that could cost more than one person their life. Their spark is reignited and Clayton proves to be all alpha when it comes to Lacy. Finding themselves battling a common enemy from different angles, Ms. Mayhew creates tension and action that leaves the reader anxious and on the edge of their seat. Her villain is delightfully twisted and devious. Not one for spoilers, suffice it to say, this novella has a lot going for it: intrigue, suspense, great characters, passion, and some seriously sexy bits. I can't wait to read more from this world and this author.

I love how the book started with a bang and never let up until the end. One can see that Clayton is full on alpha with all the goods on display. Lacy has enviable spunk and a spark but also has a human and flawed side that shows us how she hurts and has a common thread with Clayton. The villain? Well, I am not going to give up the ending and will say that he is deliciously vile and the end is all the sweeter for it. This book is for the beach or cuddle reading and you will NOT have any "reader regret".

Lacy is frightened when she catches a large man staring at her from the shadows when she leaves the nursing home where she works. Clayton, big bad-ass excop, is on a case when he’s caught staring. Boy, she’s hot. He memorizes her license plate in case he needs it later. And it turns out they already know each other! They met a few years ago when Lacy was in journalism and did an article on Clayton. There were sparks then!

Clayton is on a big case in Savannah, but maybe some time with Lacy is just what he needs. Sparks are still flying at their coffee date. When Lacy is in danger and it’s related to Clayton’s case will he get there in time?

This is a super debut novel from TL Mayhew. It has a great story line, hot sexy scenes, and suspense. What more could you want? A fantastic addition to The Fidelity World! 4.5 bright stars for Mayhew’s debut!

Clayton was one of my favorite secondary characters in The Infidelity series. Having him find love with Lacy and a little more of his past made for a good story. T.L. Mayhew is a new author and she does a good job with her debut novella. Looking forward to reading more from her.

This was a sizzling read, and I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish! The chemistry between Clayton and Lacy was pretty darn hot. Belong had just the right amount of action and suspense mixed in for me. As a newcomer to the Fidelity World, I found this book a delight, and I can't wait to read more.

I loved Clayton, and learning a little more about where he came from made me love him even more. The relationship between him and Lacy seemed a little fast, but as it happens in the real world, it wasn't far fetched. It also helped that there was a little bit of history between them when they met this time around.
I also liked that this was taking place parallel to the story in the original series, the familiar names and situation made it feel like coming home again. This is a great addition to the Fidelity World.

Great writing with relatable characters the story of Clayton and Lacy was a high octane and suspenseful read.
Love, loyalty and betrayal are tested questioning the motives between Clayton and Lacy.

I have been slowly trying to make my way through what was originally the Fidelity Kindle Worlds. This one was next on my list. Some of these novellas I have loved, some of them not so much. Unfortunately, this one is in the middle of liking and not liking. It has its good points and bad points for me.

Overall, I enjoyed reading about Clayton. He was one of those characters in the original series that you knew you wanted more of. He had such a great relationship with the main characters. His loyalty was undeniable. So to see a side of him we didn't get to see before was nice.

I liked him as a character. He continues to prove what we already knew about him. If he loves, he loves fierce and with his whole being. His attraction to Lacy is everything in this book. I was definitely rooting for him.

I am not a fan of how Lacy is presented to us in this short story. She is weak and needy. A little too over the top and trusting. I guess this is where the story took a little dive for me. Her character just didn't jive for me.

I get this is a novella. So it's quick. This is definitely one of those stories that didn't work as a novella. It needed to be longer. I need more inbetween all of the action for this story to have won me over.

Okay, so I'll admit I liked Clayton in The Infidelity Series and wanted to know more about him. Well, well, well...let me just say, T.L. Mayhew, you knocked this one out of the park! This Fidelity World Kindle Novella lets us get to know Clayton, the man. May I just say, Hellllloooo Clayton!!!! Belong is a captivating, sexy, suspenseful read. Clayton is beyond swoon-worthy! The story is well-written and flows effortlessly. T.L. Mayhew is a terrific new author and Belong is a wonderful addition to the Fidelity Kindle World. I look forward to reading more from her. T.L. Mayhew does a wonderful job of pulling you into the world from the very beginning. Both the characters and the story were intriguing, filling me with a curiosity that demanded I keep reading.

What a great debut! I can't wait to see what she comes out with next!
