Okay, time for some of my infamous brutal honesty here.

If your book has ‘prince’ or ‘princess’ or ‘royal’ in the title, it damn well better feature an actual member of a fictional royal family. Not just an American socialite behaving like a spoiled brat and being indulged in that by some idiot thinking with an organ between his legs.

Royal romances are a specific genre within romance. If I’m in the mood to read one, I want castles and tiaras, not department stores and designer dress brands, which is what I got from this book. I have no problem with a princess using her wealth and position to do philanthropic good works, as Cara, the heroine of this book does, but I do have an issue with her doing stupid stuff. Like when the villain of the police tells her ‘He’s a hacker!’ about the computer expert love interest who’s been helping her clean up her online presence and suddenly this is cause for her to doubt the love interest. Who she’s very nearly related to, since their siblings are about to get married. And since they’re both from wealthy, powerful families, have presumably already exhumed and dealt with all the skeletons on the family tree. Really? That was the best you could come up with for contrived drama? She already KNEW he was a hacker. He’d been hacking on her behalf. He TOLD her about it. But the villain puts it into words and suddenly she has doubts? Oh please.

Aidan, the aforementioned computer expert, was both too good to be true and too aggravating for words. He’s one of those annoying types who tells you he’ll take care of everything For Your Own Good and of course his way turns out to be the best way anyway, so the heroine simpers and assures him how much she loves him. Despite him doing nasty crap like investigating her as well as the villain. Just in case she’s the liar, because she might be trying to… uh, I’m not quite sure. Embezzle her own money? It was never explained quite what Aidan thought she might be guilty of, or what possible justification he might have for not accepting her word for it she was being scammed.

Maybe I was primed to be annoyed by this book once I realised the title had scammed me, but I didn’t like either of the main characters. Cara was both spoiled and silly, and Aidan was arrogant. His investigating of Cara’s background verged on stalkery once they were romantically involved, as did his controlling of her movements and surveillance, all For Her Own Good, of course. (Mm, smell that sarcasm!)

This is the third in a series about the Castles of Dallas (Aidan’s family) and it does not stand well alone. I wouldn’t recommend starting here, anyway. Frankly, I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Two stars.

Fun book. Aidan Castle is ready for some peace and quiet after a busy few months getting Castle's newest store up and running. The pure technology store is his baby, and he wants everything to be just right. Staying at his friend and future brother-in-law's ranch while he does so is just the escape that Aidan needs. That is until he comes home one night to find Cara asleep on the sofa, wearing a wedding dress of all things. He's reminded of the night of the Castle costume ball, where he and Cara shared some pretty smoking kisses before she fled.

Cara barely escaped making a disastrous mistake. After falling for what seemed like the perfect man, she discovered he was nothing but a con man. To avoid the paparazzi and decide what to do next, she fled to the family ranch. Cara is determined to keep her troubles secret from her family, at least until after her brother's wedding. The last person she expected to see was Aidan.

I enjoyed that first meeting between Aidan and Cara. Neither was particularly happy to see the other, as those earlier kisses still burned in their memories. But when Aidan finds out about Cara's problem, he insists on helping her. Aidan's computer geek tendencies come in handy as he works to protect Cara and help her bring Trey down. Though the attraction between them grows stronger, both of them have some serious trust issues. I got very frustrated with Cara a few times because she withheld information from Aidan that he really needed to have. Aidan senses there are things she doesn't tell him, and those omissions make him wonder if he can trust her.

As they spend more time together, both Cara and Aidan realize that their hearts are involved, but neither one is ready to take that final leap. Cara's brother's wedding grows closer, and her family's arrival adds complications to the plans to stop Trey. I understood Cara's reservations about confessing to her brother, Nico, but I also felt that she likely overdramatized his reaction. The ensuing conversation was eye-opening for Cara but did nothing to change her mind about protecting him from her mistakes. I had to laugh at her machinations to carry out her plan. Because Aidan knows her so well by this point, he is one step ahead of her. I loved the final confrontation as Cara wreaked her own havoc on Trey. Aidan's arrival with backup was perfectly timed and provided a fitting end.

I loved the ending. Aidan and Cara finally get past all of their issues by actually being honest with each other. The epilogue is a fun wrap-up.

The Runaway Princess Bride is the third book in Lenora Worth's Castles of Dallas series. I loved it! If you've read the first two you'll definitely want to read this one. But you could read it as a stand-alone too. Whimsical and witty, I loved that it was light-hearted but with a more serious thread beneath it. Aiden is a hunk and I liked Cara as well. And I loved the ending! Very enjoyable.:)

This installment of the Dallas Castles series is just as good as the other two. It had beautiful people, heartfelt love and added a little intrigue as well. Throw in a couple twists and turns and you have good entertainment with a HEA. I'd like the series to continue to see what the next generation has to offer but I guess that would have to cross into the fantasy genre.

I was gifted this book by the publisher and the author in return for an honest review.

After discovering her fiance wasn't really who he claims to be Cara finds herself running back to the family ranch. Never did she expect to find Aidan Castle there and getting stuck on the ranch during a storm was about the worst thing possible. This secluded time together kicks their attraction to each other way up. Problem is Aidan doesn't know if he can trust Cara and without trust what could they have?

This is an excellent quick read that I would definitely recommend.

Runaway Princess Bride by Lenora Worth
After making a serious misjudgment about the man she was about to marry, Cara escaped to the one place she always felt safe–her family’s ranch. She wants to evade the paparazzi and hide her near disastrous mistake from her family, while she tries to figure out what’s next.
In need of peace after a tumultuous year supervising the building of Castle’s first technology store, Aidan Castle escapes to the Double L Ranch. When he enters the den, he’s shocked to find a woman sleeping in a wedding dress. Worse, he recognizes her as the beautiful socialite he kissed at Castle’s costume ball. This is Cara and Aidan Castle's story.
An alarm shrieked through the cold December night.
The loud deafening noise sounded like a banshee as Aidan Castle pulled his Jeep into to the garage at the Double L Ranch.
He and Johnny Darrow, head of security at Castle Department Store, had been in charge of setting up a state-of-the-art security system at the secluded Fort Worth ranch owned by Nico Lamon and named after his mother Lila Lamon.
Cara Lamon, Nico’s younger sister, lifted on her elbows to stare at him with big luminous gray eyes that spoke volumes.
The last time they’d seen each other had been the day after the Wild West Costume Ball at the Lone Star Castle store three months ago. That night, even though they rubbed each other the wrong way in so many ways, they’d both had too much champagne, followed by too many stolen kisses in a quiet corner.
When they’d finally stopped making out, she’d stared up at Aidan with those stormy-gray eyes and said, “I’m sorry. I’m secretly engaged.”
I highly recommend reading.

I just love this series.  Each book has a wonderful story.  With each book we get a new love story, but still get to visit with our favorites from previous books.  This story picks right back up where the last story left off.

Cara Lamon almost made a huge mistake to marry a con artist.  Instead of dealing with the problem she runs.  Runs to the one place she feels safe, Double L Ranch.  What she doesn't realize is her con artist is not done with her yet.

Aidan has been working hard to open the new technology store for Castle's department stores.  Instead of renting an apartment, Nico has been letting him stay at his family's ranch.  The peace and quiet have been soothing, that is until he comes in one night to find Cara, Nico's sister, on the couch face down crying and drunk.   Aidan hasn't seen her since she kissed and ran from him, claiming to be engaged.  But when Aidan finds the reason why she is there, he is quick to be her knight in shining armor.  But can he trust her?  Can he save the Castle name from another scandal?

I absolutely love the characters in this series.  Each one has a wonderful personality and are fun and loving individuals.  They are loyal and strong-minded.  They each have a hearts of gold.  And their stories of romance are such sweet ones.

Overall the book is wonderful and sweet.  The perfect mix of romance and humor with some good little twists mixed in.  Halllmark movies in the making, are what these books are.  I hate to see the series come to an end, but all the main characters are wrapped up in this last book.  Interested to see if another book will be released and who it would involve.  I would classify this series as a cozy romance.  So if you are looking for a book with a tad bit action and butterflies in your tummy romance, then this book is for you.

Runaway Princess Bride is the third story in Lenora Worth's Castles of Dallas series, and since all of the main characters in this series seem to have found their happy endings this may be the final story... but I've learned to never say done on any series.

Cara has barely escaped from a disastrous situation where she almost married a con man out for nothing more than money... lots of money.  Ashamed, scared and worried, Cara makes her escape back to Texas and the ranch where she's intending to hide from the world, the media and her family.  But life doesn't always work out as intended since the one man she didn't want to run into is also staying at the ranch.  Together they'll oust a conman who isn't quite done with his mark just yet -- and maybe fall in love along the way.

Cara and Aidan's romance is a rather quick read that was an enjoyable one for the most part.  I, personally, had trouble connecting with Cara who doesn't seem to know when to stop the little white lies or who to really trust, even when she should know better by now.  As I don't want to risk spoilers I'm just going to leave it at that.  I've had fun with this series and it's always a bittersweet moment when they, at least seem to be ending.  Tensions, white lies, doubts and one major troublemaker are making Cara and Aidan's life... interesting.  Follow along as this couple learns to trust each other and put the bad guy in his place for good.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Aiden Castle and Cara Lamon were stranded together at Double L Ranch, during a freak Texas snow storm. The last time Aiden and Cara were together was the night of Lone Star Castle store party. They got drunk and made out before Cara told him she was secretly engaged and then fled the building. They haven’t seen each other since then.

On Cara’s wedding day, she found out her fiancé, Trey, was a con artist and only after her money. She left him at the alter and headed back to Texas. Her mother always told Cara and her brother that if they ever get in trouble, go home to Texas. Texas heals all wounds. Cara was still in her wedding gown, laying on the couch in her depressed state, when Aiden found her. Aiden didn’t expect anyone to be at the ranch while he was working on the security system, so he was surprised to see Cara there.

When Aiden found out what happened to Cara and learned of her concern for a possible scandal right before her brother’s wedding, he used his computer skills to hide and change things online that might be used against Cara and her family. Aiden and Cara worked together to trap Trey the betrayer and it helps them realize the feelings they both have for each other.

I completely enjoyed this book and series. I hate to see it come to an end. The writing, characters, setting, romance and drama all worked together to keep my eyes glued to the pages.

Runaway princess bride is the second instalment in Lenora Worth’s Castles of Dallas series. Each book can be read as a standalone as the author has crafted a story that stands perfectly well on its own while also offering a comprehensive backstory.

Cara Lamon has fled to her family’s ranch after leaving her groom at the altar. Discovering he was a conman who may have already stolen money from her family’s charitable foundation has sent her into a tailspin. She needs to fix everything before the paparazzi and more her importantly her family find out.

Aidan Castle has been staying at the Lamon Double L ranch while he is improving the security system and setting up the new Castle electronics store. Returning home, he is dismayed to find Cara has damaged the security system. He hasn’t seen her since they kissed at the Lone Star Castle store opening party.

Stranded when a freak snow storm hits Texas, the two are forced to work together to stop the conman and battle their growing feelings for each other.
This was an entertaining read and a fitting ending to the Castle siblings’ stories. Whether there will be more in the series I’m not sure, but I will definitely read them if there are.

There is just something about a book/series that is based around where you live yourself. It makes that book since a little extra more especially when the author gets the facts correct on the real parts and makes the imagined parts almost fit into places you have either been to (Neimans) or worked at for 20+ years (Sanger Harris/Foley's Dept Store). Yes, Castles is not a real place but to me it is almost real because it is a mix of where I spent my retail years and where I used to spend my Holidays looking at the catalog or what little time I had free checking out their displays in downtown Dallas.
This book is the third book in the series and Aidan could in a way be my own husband. How weird this author is almost tapped into my life in a low rent way. Yes my hubs ran the electronic department in the same retail store and is a computer wiz like Aidan. Now Cara well here we have a woman who is searching for love to the point that she gets taken by a con-man but does she realize it before she marries him? Cara has a heart as big as the state of Texas and that is where she runs to hide and heal and of course wait for her brother's wedding. This book is different from the first two books in the series...it has more of a mystery to it and that is a good thing for me. I am looking forward to more books from this author and hopefully more based in the DFW area.

I want to thank the publisher and NetGalley for giving me an ARC in exchange for my honest review, that was given voluntarily by me.

I never read any books by " Lenora Worth " before. This is book 3 in Thee Castles of Dallas series. "Runaway Princess Bride" is Aiden & Cara`s story. It's a clean romance for those that like it less steamy, and for me (that like it on the hotter side) surprisingly I found myself really enjoying this book.
It was a quick read and it had some personal issues that Cara had to face with help from Aidan. The family aspect of the other books also had some connection with this one, but it wasn't necessary to read the other 2 to like this one, but I believe reading the 1st and 2nd book we can understand better Aidan`s pain of what he went through in the last year or so . The author doesn't go into full complete details of what happened to him, his sisters, mom & dad like I wish she would have done, so I would understand more of his adolescence, adulthood . The end kinda ended abrupt, maybe adding what the plans are for the future ? Do we hear bell's ringing? hint hint LOL
I was captivated from the beginning of the book, and it held my enthusiasm throughout, overall I really liked it.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I started to read this and realized the backstory from the prior 2 books sounded so intriguing that I set it down and purchased the other 2 books. I’m so glad I did. This book can be a standalone but the prior 2 books make this a series not to be missed. In this book, we learn more about Cara Lamon and Aidan Castle. Cara had just ended her secret engagement after she discovered the groom Trey was only in it for her money. Cara was in charge of the philanthropic arm of the House of Lamon and as such had given some money to a charity he had gotten her to invest in. She turns up at the Lamon estate heartbroken and worried. Aiden Castle is staying there as he is installing a security system. They start talking and she shares some of her tale of woe and he realizes the need to protect her in social media, the press, her bank, etc. This is all breaking on the eve of her brother and Aiden’s step sister’s wedding. We learn that she isn’t totally forthcoming and keeps some secrets even though Aiden is trying to help her. This book has quite a bit of suspense, romance and family sagas in it. I give it 5 wonderful stars!

I totally enjoyed reading Runaway Princess Bride by Lenora Worth, book three in The Castles of Dallas series. Cara escaped what could have been a major mistake fleeing to her family’s Texas ranch. She was determined to hide this from her family, not disrupt her brother’s upcoming wedding and figure out how what’s next for her. Unfortunately for her, Aiden Castle was also staying at the ranch as he oversaw the building of Castle's first technology store. These two seem to push each other’s buttons, especially after earlier sharing kisses at Castle’s costume ball. Add in a Texas snowstorm that traps these two at the ranch and see what fireworks they create as they discover an attraction to each other and a need to solve Cara’s troubles.

Ms. Worth wrote a wonderful and moving story that is not to be missed. It had me laughing, crying and everything in between. This story is filled with sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters. I highly recommend this book to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.

I received this e-arc from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

So Cara decides to leave her fiancé at the alter with her lawyer to explain. She goes home to Texas where she finds an old family friend. Calamity ensues.

So I found this to be quite obvious in storyline and it's fairly obvious that it's the end or middle of a series with all the other characters and plots that intersect in this one or are at least mentioned by the main character.

Trust issues! Man do they have them in spades and yet with those trust issues they fall madly in love within days... Not sure how plausible it is since they literally barely knew each other before hand other than a handful of drunk kisses...

The ending was another on is plot point. As was Trey everything about him was obvious including his demands... And of course Aidan turns up just at the right moment to save the day, just coz why not.

As obvious as this was I couldn't put it down and read it in a couple of hours. Not sure if I'd like to read any more of the series... I'll have to have a think about that

This the third book in the series and I found this one to be much like the first one. You met Cara who is Nico’s sister and was in book two. She was supposed to get married, but now she is in Texas and Aiden Castle is looking at her and trying to figure out why she is here and not married in Italy. Once he gets some information out of her it looks like Trey her fiancé is a con artist and now it is up to Aiden and a few of his web friends to out him before his sister’s wedding and before Cara loses any money. What really makes this book is the relationship that began in the second book between Cara and Aiden, and this relationship only gets better between them in this book. It is the banter between the two main character’s that make this story and keeps this story going from beginning to the end. A very good book. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com

This was a hard one to rate for me. It was between 2 and 3 stars, and the only reason I gave it three was because the writing itself wasn't horrible. I was not a fan of either main character. Aiden and Cara have a previous encounter, and meet again in the beginning of this book. Neither trusts the other, and I mean when you're 90% of the way through a story, should the two love interests at least trust each other? Cara was also annoying. She kept lying about things, and then does something really stupid when it comes to the "drama" at the end. Also, I didn't realize that this book was part of a series, and it does have confusing parts because I haven't read the other stories. I do agree with another reviewer, when I see "princess" in the title, I expect some kind of royalty, not just a spoiled girl the H calls princess. This was a first for me from this author, but I would give her another read.

Runaway Princess Bride is the third book in the Castles of Dallas Series that I have read by Lenora Worth. I like her style of writing, the characters, and the plot. I always am happy when the bad guy is stopped in his tracks.

Aiden Castle and Cara Lamon’s story is a favorite of mine in this series. It is a predictable story, still I enjoyed it from beginning to end just the same. Perhaps it is because I liked the setting, it is on a ranch mostly, away from the department store - big city area. Perhaps it is because I just simply adored Aiden, a smart handsome man with principles. Hey, I like knowing that the good guys will win and fall in love too.

4.5 Stars

Runaway Princess Bride is is the third book in the Castle of Dallas series and I think it is one of favorites. In each of the books you get to see one of the Castle siblings stories, but in this book you not only get to see Adian’s story you get to see the end of Eleanor’s story.
Cara Lamon has been in charge of the foundation for the House of Lamon, and she has been doing a great job until she found love. Or she thought she did. Trey Wellington was not who he claimed to be and Cara finally came to her senses on her wedding day. She goes back to the ranch in Texas, hoping to find some solace, but instead she found Adien Castle. Other than Trey the last person she wanted to see. But they seem to find a common interest in making sure Trey doesn’t come after more of her money and ruin the Lamon and Castle names.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I have read the first book in this series and now this one which is the 3rd. This story is an easy read that has romance and intrigue. I liked the first book but this one not as much. I just felt frustrated with Cara and her dramatics and little white lies.
I do not ever re-tell the story like so many reviewers do because it irritates me that they feel compelled to spoil it for other readers. If you want a synopsis of the story read the back cover or blurb about the book.
I don’t have a lot to say about this book. It was just kind of “meh” for me. I do like Lenora Worth as an author and look forward to reading more of her books.

Cara has run away from the alter of a secret wedding after finding out her groom was a con man. The only safe place to run would be her family ranch, the Double L, never expecting to find Aidan Castle. Aidan and Cara shared a kiss a while back, only to find out she was taken. Now both are at the ranch during a freak snowstorm, and they can not deny the chemistry between them. But Cara is not telling the whole truth, can Aidan trust her?

This is a fast paced story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Great characters and dialogue. This is the third and last book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. I'm sorry to say goodbye to the Castles!

The Runaway Princess Bride is the third part of the Castles of Dallas trilogy. This story focuses on Cara Lamon, sister of Nico Lamon, and Aidan Castle, Eleanor Lamon's stepbrother. Cara has runaway to hide at the Lamon ranch after realizing that her fiance had conned her out of Lamon Foundation funds and was intending to use her to get even more. Aidan discovers in her wedding gown at the ranch and realizes that she is in trouble. He offers to help her avoid a major scandal before their siblings wedding. Trust is a big issue for both of them and working through Cara's problems give them the opportunity to get to know each other.

This is the third in the series and focuses on the slightly mysterious Aiden Castle (brother of Elinor and Annabelle) and the flighty Cara Lamon (Nico's younger sister). I'm afraid though I wish it were different this story just didn't work for me. I didn't feel a connection between the protagonists and a lot of the time didn't even like them all that much! It's a shame as I had really been looking forward to this book.

Runaway Princess Bride by Lenora Worth is book 3 in the "Castles of Dallas" series. Love this series. It´s such a modern fairy tale story. It´s about a department store and it´s owners, but´s it also so much more. You will fall in love with it´s characters, the setting and the story line of this series and I for one can´t get enough. Great story.

Nothing groundbreaking in this one. I probably won't remember what happened in it three books from now. But, its an easy, sweet, quick, sometimes melodramatic romance (just the way I like them), and cheesy-in-a-good-way romance.

It read good as a stand lone but is a part of the "Castle" series by this author. I enjoyed it.

This is my first book by Lenora and I really enjoyed it the storyline was good it was well thought out and held my interest all the way through. I liked both Cara and Aiden they were good characters and the attraction between them was really strong, While this is the third book in the series, it easily read as a standalone and I look forward to reading the previous books

Awesome summer read. This is book three in “The Castles of Dallas Series”. It was a book about a runaway bride who ran away from a conman, fell in love with a man who assisted her in catching the conman. She escaped from his clutches with the help of “her killer shoes”.
