I've only truly loved two things in my life.

My club and my son.

I gave up one, trying to keep the other safe.

It worked, too… until an enemy took my son.

But he made one mistake— He left me breathing.

There's nothing I won't do to save my child.

A woman is the last thing I need, especially a woman like Rory McDaniels.

She's stubborn, beautiful and drives me crazy.

I've told her it's too dangerous to be involved with me. She vows to stay, no matter the cost.

She has no idea how high that price might be.

Cliffhanger ahead.

I'm just a simple small town country girl, haunted by Alpha Men who talk in my head 24 hours a day.

I knew I wanted to write when it became clear I couldn't be happy with just viewing other people's stories. I always wanted to rewrite them.

Like why did Jack have to die? Why couldn't Rose move her butt over? Because that was a huge piece of wood she was on, people.

Happy Endings should be fought for, but they should always happen. Mine might take some curves and twists, but they eventually get there.

Having published over fifty stories, it always feels surreal that this is my life. Hitting USA Today had me crying for days, but nothing is more special than hearing from readers that they loved one of my books.

After being betrayed by his hideous ex, the dark and dangerous (but rather sexy) Diesel moves away to a small town called Whitefish to live a quieter and safer life. Here he hopes to keep his son safe and protect him. Diesel’s aim is to focus on his little one and keep to himself.

Rory is hiding from her own dangers. Settled into her home in Whitefish and managing to live a reasonably settled life, things definitely get a shake up when she notices her new neighbour moving in with his young son.

This is a hard review to write that is spoiler free. It is intense and sexy, dangerous and romantic and while these things should not belong together Jordan Marie manages to blend these elements and more into a great read that will have you swooning and on the edge of your seat.

The one major frustration is that this ends on a gasp worthy cliffhanger.

I was given a review copy of Diesel by Jordan Marie and SocialButterflyPR in exchange for my honest review

description
This book!!! Omg this book. I don't know whether to throw my Kindle across the room or clutch it close in desperation for the next book to arrive.

This book was a million kinds of amazing. Diesel was a jerk. He was a huge jerk. But sometimes he was also so sweet and he was a wonderful father. He had his walls up high because of past betrayals but Rory came into his life and made him question everything he thought he wanted.

Rory was amazing. She might have been running from a terrible past, but she's also strong and a fighter. I loved her sass and they way she made Diesel work to get in her good graces. Even with his adorable son as a big pull in his direction, she still didn't just give in.

There were moments in this story where I teared up and was so emotionally wrapped up in what was going on. And right up until the end the tale Jordan Marie was weaving had its hooks in me.

I need the next book. I need it now. I need an earlier release. I don't know if I'm going to make it to December without going crazy. Fingers crossed we get Rory, book two in this duet asap.

Not as great as Devil but still very good!

I did wish Diesel wasn't such an idjit at times and he didn't get any plus points from me for his shitty behaviour either
but

Ruby kicks ass and Ryan is so so sweet! I'm looking forward to see how it all ends.

This was another read-in-one-sitting for me so this will deffinitely not be my last Mrs. Jordan Marie book. I highly recommend it to all those who like dark and gritty romance.

"I want to erase that pain I saw on his face. I want to do it for him...as bad as I always wanted someone to do it for me."

Inhaled in one sitting, I knew this one would throw me for a complete loop, and I wasn't disappointed. Diesel was a colossal you-know-what from get, but it's completely understandable given his past with women and his love for his son, but you get peeks of what he could be should he decide to trust the right woman. Both Diesel and Rory are broken, hiding from ghosts of the past, each not looking or wanting love, but powerless to fight the pull between them. Ridiculously hot, banter that ignited my happy, and twists for days, all ending in an explosive KABOOM that will leave you panting and wanting more!! If you're not afraid of a well done cliffy, inhale this one now and make sure you pre-order the next, because what was revealed needs to be uncovered by this reader ASAP!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

"Possessing me to the point that I know without a doubt he's leaving his own kind of scars. Scars that will never heal, but these scars aren't black. These scars are made of pure beauty."

Geez Jordan Marie floored me with Diesel's story - 5 Massive Stars from me.

This book is everything and so much more to come.

Diesel - I loved his sexy ass but many times throughout this book I wanted to shake and knock some sense into him. He is living the best way he can to protect Ryan his son but living in the past can hurt the future a lesson he learns the hard way.

Rory - A sexy red hair, smart, loving. caring but one with hidden secrets of her own, and she is hiding from an evil so dark and silent no one sees it watching and creeping up

This storyline is very well written, gripping, makes you laugh, scream and by the end your head will be spinning. Diesel's story is the very reason why I love and stalk this author so hard she never fails to deliver and this one is pure brilliance.

"We'll face the baggage together."
Diesel learned the hard way that he should never let his guard down and that women were not to be trusted. His sole concern was his little boy so he gave up on the MC life he thrived on to protect his son from any form of danger. When he moves to a remote village he is shockingly attracted to the drop-dead-gorgeous red head who also happens to be his neighbor. Diesel and Rory share a world of pain from their past... and THAT is where everything they ever believed in changes. They both find themselves needing to save each other. Incapable of trying to fight each other away they join forces, stop fleeing and face their sh*tstorms together. Jordan Marie will both romance the hell out of her readers and leave them in utter shock... be prepared to read one hell of a story that will have you begging for so much more! 5 Pleasurable and Painful Stars for "Diesel"... a story that will emotionally touch you inside out.

Jordan once again delivers two no make that three characters that you can't help but to feel invested in the outcome of their story. The push and pull that happens in this story will have you on the edge of your seat, well that or you'll want to jump in and nut punch Diesel. I'm gonna go with the second. Trust me there will be many times you want to hurt him but then again you know why he does what he does. You will be just as conflicted as Diesel on if he's an asshole or not.

Rory is running from something. We get more and more as the story goes but it isn't good. She is such a sweet and loving woman and when the man and his boy move next door she is taken by surprise by the mans hostility and nastiness towards her and everyone. The son on the other hand is such a wonderful boy that she can't help but to talk to him. Eventually Diesel does more pulling than pushing but when he pushes he does it really well and the heartbreak and pain that it causes Rory may be something he can't fix. His trust issues with the opposite sex may just prove to be too strong.

OMG this book. Jordan you are killing me woman!! I MUST have the next one. I'm dying but in such a wildly anticipating way. I love this form of torture it will make getting the rest so much sweeter. I highly recommend this book!!!

Diesel has left his club far behind, not sure who he can trust anymore he only knows that he needs to protect his son. Hidden away in Montana and off the radar he’s surviving day to day.

Rory McDaniels, is also hiding having escaped her own personal hell, she had a new identity and a life in Montana.

Meeting her new neighbor and his adorable son Ryan is both a blessing and a curse. She finds Diesel to be an asshole who for some reason looks at her like she’s the bringer of death, accused her of trying to get to him through his son. He may not like her but he wants her.

Frustrated with the attraction he feels for Rory, hearing her at night through the thin walls of their duplex it comes to a head. When Diesel rescues Rory from her the nightmare that turns up at her home he starts to let her in slowly. But with the past clouding his thoughts he lashed out at the one person who truly loves his son and him.

An absolute must read, Jordan’s ability to engage a reader with a story is outstanding. The development of all the characters, the story, all of it just seems effortless.

Smoking hot, steamy and hot. Like five alarm ringing hot.

It does end with a cliffhanger but I can live with that,

Oh wow. What an awesome story. I loved this one from the start till the finish. Diesel man, I got attached to him from the start of this book. He gave up the only thing that mattered to him to protect his other love which was his son. Now his living far away from his safety net (his club) and being attracted to his sexy red headed neighbour is so not good for him right now, the last thing he needs on his plate
Rory is also hiding, escaping her own personal nightmare she is ready to settle down and live a normal life. But for someone like her and her past will there ever be normal?

I seriously recommend this book to anyone who loves MC stories. This book was filled with action, drama, love, angst and so much more. I need the next book like ASAP!!! That cliffhanger, not cool people!

5 SMOOCHES

I love Jordan Marie’s writing, especially her MC romances, and she never fails to completely blow me away with the intense emotion and dramatic plots. These types of stories are where Jordan Marie’s talent as an author shines. She has an incredible gift for telling difficult, powerful and gripping stories, drawing the reader into them with a vivid, rich and dynamic plot. Her bikers are hardened, complex alpha males, and she pairs them with strong, resilient, independent women able to withstand the gauntlet of turmoil and adversity awaiting them on the road to their happily ever after. Although beautiful love stories in their own way, they are not sweet and romantic. They’re hard fought and even harder won, and the roller coaster of emotions that Jordan deals out along the way is as harrowing as the danger these couples must overcome.

Diesel is the first book in the Love and War duet, a romantic saga within Jordan Marie’s Savage Brothers MC—Tennessee Chapter series. As such, this book ends on a particularly tense note. I’m not going to say anything about the plot at all because anything I say would be spoiler, and this story is one that should be read without any preamble in order for the reader to experience the full impact of the story as it unfolds. In fact, there is a teaser chapter at the end of Diesel for the second book, Rory, and I quickly slammed my Kindle shut before I could read a single word of it. All I will say is that this is an exceptionally gritty, raw and emotional tale. Both Diesel and Rory’s stories are fraught with incredible evil, manipulation and betrayal. It was shocking, hair-raising, at times even frustrating, and I was completely gutted. There was passion in all its forms on these pages, and I couldn’t read this story fast enough.

While some readers may not like the idea of a two-part story, I believe that anything less than that would not have done these characters or their story justice. I am literally on the edge of my seat, anxiously awaiting the conclusion of this story, and I’m just going to let myself enjoy this anticipation as the excitement builds in me for the next book. Five stars from me for Diesel by Jordan Marie!

OH MY GODS MY POOR HEART Jordan Marie you have done it once again I need more of this story not only because I love her books but with how Diesel ended in one heck of a cliffhanger . This is part of the Tennessee series it can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend that you get Devil in your kindles or any other reading device as soon as possible plus if the author if new to you you should get every one of her stories like right now . Oh my Diesel you are such a DILF this cover is exactly what a picture for him added bonus he's an amazing father but sometimes could be a bit of a dill hole to the heroine . Really liked Rory she has so much strength even though she has been through so much she has a back bone can dish back to the hero and is so sweet to the Diesels little adorable boy . Don't miss out on this fantastic read that will put you in a roller coaster of emotions .

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.blog,
My god you must read this book, it will keep on your toes. In this book Diesel has left his MC Club and gone to his house in Whitefish, Montana to keep his son Ryan safe from his mother who keeps trying to kidnap him.
Living next door is Rory, and she is hiding there from her brother and her Ex. Then inevitable happens and the chemistry between is just so hot, but Diesel finds it hard to trust any women.
Some of the time I just wanted to punch Noah (Diesel’s real name) for the way he would treat Rory. They both have trust issues, but I really liked Rory and couldn’t help feeling for her. I am now all worked up with nowhere to go as this finished on a cliffhanger.
I don’t know how I’m going last until Rory comes out in December.

I've been waiting for Diesel's story since reading the first book of this series and I wanted to see what his story would be like... it was a head-spinning, angsty, emotional, steamy, heart-breaking story that has become a duet and it's conclusion, "Rory" will release on December and I can't wait for it because Diesel's story ends with a major cliffhanger and it left me breathless, anxious, trembling in excitement and trepidation to what Rory's story will be like.

The author, Jordan Marie did an amazing job with this story, like always, you can feel practically every emotion that's being portrayed throughout the story and that's how a great author does it :)

That was a freaking cliffhanger of an ending!!!

I just knew Diesel was going to be one of those alpha males that would spend the majority of the book pissing me off. I wasn't wrong. But I knew those demons he was fighting didn't have a chance against his feeling for Rory (once he got out of his own way).

Oh my stars! I was so intrigued with Diesel from the first book of this series and this story, though two years prior, packs a wallop! The twists and turns were insane. I love knowing more of the backstory and how things were the way they were for Diesel. Then you add Rory. Oh did she keep him on his toes as she did not back down from him at any point. Their chemistry was off the charts. Like explosive and sizzling! Then you have her tortured past coming back to haunt her. I love how protective Diesel is of Rory too. But then things get turned upside down and your jaw drops and you are asking yourself, “What just happened???” That ending though. MIND BLOWN! I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I need more like stat!!! Count down is on. I need answers and I am so freaking excited to find out how it plays out. I am seriously enjoying these MC books of Jordan Marie’s. They are unique and spicy and keeps you on your toes wonder what will happen next. If you haven’t read these books by her. DO IT! Oh my, Diesel is just everything!

Oh my this book is epic!! Diesel can’t trust his club and the women in his life have burned him and burned him good. So he packs up his son and moves away from Tennessee. Rory is finally established and has a good life and doesn’t constantly look of her shoulder. When a big, sexy man and his son move into the duplex next to hers she is intrigued, but when he warned her to stay away from his son she thinks he’s a grade-A prick.

Both Diesel and Rory are running from demons from their past. Diesel is thawing towards Rory but in the back of his mind he’s always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Rory can’t be that perfect, she is sweet and loving and cares about everyone but she is hiding a big secret. When Rory’s past catches up with her it affects Diesel in a major way. I will stop there because I don’t want to give anything away, you just have to read the book. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the continuation of Diesel and Rory’s story!!!

Another great book!

Diesel or Noah was afraid for his son because there had been attempts of kidnapping of him, so he left the club and moved to a small town. Rory was a woman with a sad and bad past that she was running from, one day she saw that she had a new neighbor that was a man and little son that was so cute but the father Diesel the first day told her to stay away from his son. I liked Rory she strong person with a big heart especially for Diesel 's son, as time goes by the attraction by Noah aka Diesel and Rory was to much even though he wanted her, he wanted her no where near his son. The things that Noah said to Rory was very cruel be cause he was up and down that the only part I didn't like, then Rory past show up that has a secret that involves Diesel, the ending was a great cliffhanger, but don't worry the second book is already out! Recommended this book to all romance readers!💗

I’m not sure what to do now.....because that cliffhanger has left me a breathless, emotional woman! Diesel was everything I expected it to be.....a man protecting his son, a man leaving his life behind in order to fulfill that purpose, meeting a woman who is unlike any who has come before her, falling in love and then destroying it all because of his past ghosts.

I loved this book as I felt as though I was on the emotional roller coaster with Rory and her journey with Diesel. I’m not sure I can wait until December but I’m praying it comes quickly so I can find out what happens 😍

Two broken people...

Rory and Diesel both have had their share of evil in their lives.
Diesel's only mission is to keep the one thing he loves more than his club safe, his son.
Rory's only mission is to keep herself safe from those who hurt her. Even the one person who should be her protector.

Becomng neighbors brought on a new risk for each of them. Being crushed by each other.

Dude...I am not a crier...there are very few authors that make my emotions come out and Ms. Marie is one of them. I yelled, I awed, I yelled again then cried as my heart was crushed. I am hoping December gets here quick because I need my heart repaired.
It's been a long time since a book has really attached itself to me and had me reeling hours after reading. I think i may re-read again but not for a few days my emotions can't take the crushing so soon.

I haven’t been this involved in a book, like I am with Diesel, for a long time. And the tears... it’s been a good long time since a book has had me in tears like I was.

The characters pulled me in big time right from the beginning and even several days later, they are still on my mind.
The love Diesel has for Ryan is so strong and made my heart ache with everything they have been through. And Rory, I fell for her from the start. I love her character. She is exactly who Diesel and Ryan need in their life.

Now the ending... I know some readers despise cliff hangers but I thrive on them. The ending for Diesel, it has me on the edge of my seat. It had everything to make a great cliffhanger.

Can’t frickin wait for Rory.
