Enid Mary Blyton (1897–1968) was an English author of children's books.
Born in South London, Blyton was the eldest of three children, and showed an early interest in music and reading. She was educated at St. Christopher's School, Beckenham, and - having decided not to pursue her music - at Ipswich High School, where she trained as a kindergarten teacher. She taught for five years before her 1924 marriage to editor Hugh Pollock, with whom she had two daughters. This marriage ended in divorce, and Blyton remarried in 1943, to surgeon Kenneth Fraser Darrell Waters. She died in 1968, one year after her second husband.
Blyton was a prolific author of children's books, who penned an estimated 800 books over about 40 years. Her stories were often either children's adventure and mystery stories, or fantasies involving magic. Notable series include: The Famous Five, The Secret Seven, The Five Find-Outers, Noddy, The Wishing Chair, Mallory Towers, and St. Clare's.
According to the Index Translationum, Blyton was the fifth most popular author in the world in 2007, coming after Lenin but ahead of Shakespeare.

Nina said this book was funny and Amelia Jane was trying to steal bird eggs which is very horrible.

I don't really like this book!
Sesuai dengan judulnya, Amelia Jane is naughty!!
And arrrggghhh.. I get annoyed by her naughtiness, ugghh.. kalo gua jadi salah satu karakter dalam buku itu, gua pengen bisa ngejewer dia tiap saat, wakakakakak :p
Mungkin karena gua bacanya sekarang kali yee so I don't enjoy reading this so much :p
Sorry yaa, Enid, I still love you though tapii nih seri just not my kind of books :D

Sometimes you really feel for poor Amelia Jane and the situations she manages to get herself into. Other times you really want to reach into the pages and ring her neck!

This book is a collection of short stories by Enid Blyton about a group of toys who all live together in an attic. One toy in particular, a doll called Amelia Jane, is very naughty, and loves to tease and annoy all of the other toys by being very naughty. In each short story, we follow Amelia Jane as she gets up to mischief, and see how all of the other toys react to this. However, Amelia Jane always learns her lesson in the end and is very sorry for her behaviour... until the next story.
Enid Blyton has a lovely way of writing that really engages readers and makes them feel like they are being spoken to personally. I think this book would be suitable for children over 8 years old to read, but it could also be read to younger children, as each story is different but are all equally as entertaining. In the classroom, this could be used to teach children about good behaviour and bad behaviour, and as Amelia Jane's actions always have consequences, children will learn this too. Some tasks that it could be used for in the classroom could be to discuss what bad behaviour Amelia Jane has shown, and why it is bad. This will teach children right and wrong, and allow them to judge for themselves why some behaviour is good and why some is bad.
Overall this was a very enjoyable book, with a very easy to read writing style that is both informal and very descriptive. I would recommend this to both younger and older children alike.

Amelia Jane is a very naughty doll who scribbles on walls, plays postman, climbs up a tree and writes a letter with ink.This is a very good book but it doesn't beat the Lord of the rings.She loves playing pranks on the other toys but the toys always find a way to get their own back. An enjoyable story suitable to a range of aged children.

Another recommendation from my neice (8 years old). I totally enjoyed this. It's about a collection of toys that live in a nursery, one of them being very naughty! She learns her lesson though, each time she does something naughty thanks to the other toys.
Probably good for 6-8 year olds.
There is a whole series of Amelia Jane books. This one is few short stories in one book.

its a fantastic book. =) i can remember reading one every night. there are small stories in it. i love enid blytons books. they are easy to read and very enjoyable!

One of my favourite book series from childhood. I loved Amelia Jane books because she was so naughty and always reminded myself a little bit of me when I was that age.
