When Benson bans Mordecai and Rigby from video games, they turn to a mysterious new card game, only to discover that the game itself gets stronger the longer it’s played. The coffee bean is white now? I like the background ombre coloring and some of the expressions of faces but card games are boring to me, too. I was hoping this issue was a callback to the cannibal hotdog ep on the show. Ok Pokemon ref. Story felt way too long and coulda used more Benson in the outside park grounds/high stakes. Also, it doesn't make sense they already showed Rigby having the rare helmet card and then they say he has to find one. Card shop clerk looks kinda like HIM. The end is okay, like the show where there's always a portal opening up. Except... the tournament disappears, so what happened? Did all the people get away, no prizes given? Guess it's implied but to meh a last pg.

The story is more a joke on the fandom of card games for statistics of getting rare cards to beat slightly drawn chacthers who like MC’s from different card game cartoon shows. It was great up till the end the final part was just werid an not in a funny way like there was no hint that was going to happen the show was better at portraying episode plot surprises.

This was so fire!!😭 gonna go make a burrito rn for real. It was so authentically regular show, the card game itself was fun, the jokes were great, loved the art, the commentary on the card game community was funny, there were full character arcs, the vibes were there, I just had a blast reading this story. Feels like a classic to me- my favorite regular show comic yet!
