After college, Dan worked at a strategic communications public relations firm in Los Angeles. At 25, he left work and returned to Salt Lake to take care of his sick parents. While caring for them, he started writing detailed accounts about many of their weird, sad, funny adventures. Home is Burning is his first book.

Wel een leuk boek, maar sommige dingen zijn toch gewoon common sense en zou ik nou niet echt life hacks noemen. Slapen met dopjes en een maskertje tegen een kater? Een kussen meenemen naar college want je billetjes doen pijn? Een laptray kopen als je wilt werken met je laptop op je schoot? Waarom worden deze genoemd en met deze nog een paar andere "hacks". Maar verder heb ik er ook een aantal echte hacks gevonden die ik, als geen student, ook maar eens ga proberen. Lekker veel humor trouwens en ook de illustraties passen perfect bij het thema/de schrijfstijl.

As a student at Uni...
All in all, it took me an hour total to read through, and out of the “over 130 hacks” I found 8 useful. So yeah. I bought it on sale for $3, so almost worth that I guess?

Felt like more of a General Hacks book rather than Student Hacks book. But overall good book.
