You'll love this delicious Christmas in July treat!!
If there is one time of year Bert loves more than any, it's Christmas! However, during the hot summer month of July in Culver's Hood she has to get her wintery fix at her best friend's year round holiday shop: Christmas in July. Thankfully, this year Carla is hosting a week-long event, featuring sales on decorations, Bert's famous pies, and even a visit from Santa and his elves.
Unfortunately, any semblance of holiday cheer is destroyed when a body is discovered. In order to keep the peace with her dear detective, Bert is determined to stay far away from the investigation, until, unfortunately, someone very close to her is implicated in the crime.
A love triangle, tensions in the police ranks, and even organized crime put a definite damper on this mid-summer holiday. Will Bert be able to solve the case before she’s the next victim of someone who is definitely on Santa’s naughty list?
What a wonderful book! An entertaining storyline and characters whose personality traits stay true to form no matter the situation.
It’s Christmas in July at Clara’s store Christmas in July. Bert is selling slices of pies that are holiday related and has also decked out her shop in holiday style. The first day goes beautifully but the second day opens with a problem. One of Clara’s elves has been murdered in the storeroom of the shop and even worse suspicion falls on Clara. Very tries hard to stay out of the investigation but ultimately lands right in the middle.
Nothing like celebrating Christmas in July! All you need is snow. And maybe cut out the dead body in the back room. Bert’s friend Carla owns “Christmas in July”, a year round holiday shop and she has a weeklong special event going on. Bert is providing the pies, Santa Claus and his Elves are there, there is a big sale going on. I mean, what can go wrong? I really enjoyed the Christmas aspect and trying to solve the case. Thanks for another wonderful book!
