Sarah Hadley Brook lives smack-dab in the middle of the Heartland and is the mother of two wonderful young men, as well as two cats. During the day, she works in the nonprofit world, but reserves evenings for her hobby-turned-passion of writing, letting the characters she conjures up in her mind take the lead and show her where the story will go. When not working or writing, she can be found reading, working on dollhouses, trying her hand at new recipes, or watching old movies and musicals. In her ideal world, Christmas would come at least twice a year, Rock Hudson and Doris Day would have co-starred in more than three movies, and chocolate would be a daily necessity to live. She dreams of traveling to Scotland some day and visiting the places her ancestors lived. Sarah believes in “Happily Ever After” and strives to ensure her characters find their own happiness in love and life.

If you’re looking for a quick but very sweet story, then I can recommend this story by Sarah Hadley Brook. Courted is a charming, feel-good novelette that shows the old ways weren’t so bad after all. It is lust at first sight for Kevin and Mac, but rather than immediately jump into bed they take their time getting to know each other. It is a delightful journey with lots of laughter, sweet words, and hot glances.
The writing is superb and carries you through the pages very quickly. Kevin and Mac are lovely characters, and the chemistry between them is palpable.
The story has a very satisfying and steamy ending.

“For now, I’m practicing abstinence, or you could say, I’m celibate.”

Mac is a sexy new nurse who doesn’t want to just date or have one-night stands. He’s waiting for the one. Kevin is a Radiology Doctor who currently has a temp scheduler who is incompetent. Fortunately, for both men that is the very reason Mac is sent down to Radiology and the two have an instant connection. Not knowing how the other feels they hope some kissing and maybe getting laid will get them out of each other’s systems. Unfortunately, for Kevin, Mac doesn’t just want to have sex, he wants to court him first.

“I want to go slow. Take our time to get to know each other. I want to…well, for lack of a better word, I want to court you.”

I found both men to be genuinely sweet, but they seemed to be the same person at times. I didn’t find them to be individuals, two different men. They both thought and spoke the same things if not similar. That aside, I did enjoy the sweet courting, it was easy to follow, and the ending is hot.

Delightful journey to romance and love. Sizzling chemistry turns to slow burn and romance as these guys get to know each other.

Kevin and Mac decide to take the time to develop their friendship before their chemistry becomes the driving force of their relationship. This was an enjoyable romp as these MC's have fun together and get to know each other.

I enjoy this authors writing and the story-line will always keep you engaged. The HEA is rewarding and this is a feel good story.

A quick, cute and sweet story with no angst. Kevin and Mac have an instant attraction and sizzling chemistry from the moment they meet at the hospital where they both work. It's really cute and funny how tongue tied Kevin is in the beginning whenever Mac's around and I really like that they take things slow. They take the time to get to know each other before jumping into a relationship. i voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

When Dr Kevin Matthews first sees new nurse Mac Winters he immediately knows he is 'the one' and is pretty certain the attraction is mutual. However Mac has bad news for him - or maybe not such bad news. Mac wishes to abstain from sex and really get to know Kevin - in other words, he wishes to court him.
A very sweet love story with an explosive ending!

Well written, the characters are charming and well rounded. The story well written and fast paced although the action is sort of a no rush. Let's get to know each other before jumping in the deep end.
A true love story in the oldest meaning of the phrase.

this was sweet... slow burn.. fast burn.. middle burn.. lol i think this hit it all.. it was like slow.. then fast.. then slow again.. it was alla round a fun story to read and i enjoyed it
