I like the plot of these three books but there is TOO MUCH REPITITION! The second book is just a repeat of the first, and the repeats go on and on in the same book. I find myself just skimming now. I am on the third one and skimming until it seems to be moving on to some action. I have bought them already and do want to know the ending. Hope I won't be disappointed. All three could have been one good book if not for the author repeating herself all the time.

The first book started a potential thrilling storyline. Then ended and you realized you had to read all 3 books to get to the finish. Book 2 continues on the storyline but I found it to be repetitive and somewhat boring. The story repeats in many places between characters and I kept saying get on with it. Thankfully the end is near in book 3. This entire story could have been conveyed in one book rather than break it up.

Endless Plot

I enjoyed the first installment, but the second "book" is tedious. The end still hasn't come. Evidently I need to plod through another addition . I do not consider this a trilogy. The story should have been completed in one book. I don't enjoy being strung along. I won't be looking forward to Part 3.

disappointed

her 1st book was very good. this one, not so much! it pretty much rehashed the 1st one. it's a "trilogy "
so I guess I'll have to read the 3rd. is the "trilogy" just a way to make more money? could've wrapped it up in 1 or 2.

Not much progression from the first book in the series. Still enough going for it that I want to know how the trilogy ends though.

What the heck is with the title? If you read this book and figure out why it's called "The Girl Who Cried Too Much" please let me know because as far as I can tell it bears no relation to anything in the plot!

Took a good story and made it nonsense

Too drawn out. This went from a decent fast paced story to a waste of my time trilogy. This author doesn't care about a well written story as much as she wants readers to buy more books. I'm done.

So. Much. Filler.

Please get an editor and cut these down to one decent book. Or alternatively, if you can't possibly cut down the 23646th time someone mentions the same exposition... then concatenate all 3 books into one and sell it for the total price. At least own up to the filler.

Absolutely no resolution in the book. The story basically strings you along so you’ll buy book 3. I’m really irritated with this series/author. Nothing exciting happens either! I’m bored.

It's a trilogy that need not be one

Book one good...I gave that 3 stars as it's a trilogy. Book 2 gets 1 star for being unnecessary filler. There is zip plot development zip character development...the one plot hole for the books got arrowed so he has a hole in him...plot hole in the plot hole of you will. And for the love of God she researched the FUN weapon...Glock 23....and she still writes clips...It's magazines. Also on page 267 at 85% there is in bold letters "EDITED". Just random between paragraphs...edited. Made !e giggle. Hope book 3 is better...Book one was good...and this one was filled that drug along and did nada besides make you sad you parted with money for it.

I’m sorry to say that I wish I’d never started this series. This”trilogy” as it’s called is dragging on way too long because there is so much repetition. I’m going to proceed with the third & supposedly final book in the series just because I’ve invested too much time not to see this case brought to a conclusion. I feel cheated in some ways because a “free” book cost me the price of 2. This could have been one really good book but now it’s 3 i,m skimming thru just to get to the end of the story. Too bad for me & it doesn’t say much for the author either

Like others have said before me, there's so much potential but it's like there was no pro editing whatsoever. Plus how much can Mrs. Carter go to the grocery store during the week??
If the author could hire an editor and streamline the story, it would make a strong stand-alone book.

Another serial killer story in a series. Author has a tendency to repeat and seems to just fill up some space at times. It was okay.

Wading through treacle is the only way to describe this book. And only to discover this book was the second in three book of the same story was a big surprise. Really I should be giving it a two star review but I felt there was a good book here if only the author had realised that readers are intelligent human beings who can hold important information so they don’t need to keep being told the same information over and over again.
I was reaching the point where I was screaming you have already told us that are you just stretching the storyline because you’ve no idea where to take the plot next, Susan. Have you signed a three book deal and need to fulfil your contact.
Yes I skimmed some pages, but to my surprise I didn’t lose the thread of the story because the characters were still talking about the same thing.
And no I shall not be reading book 1 or 3 because there’s no point. As I’m sure they both contain the same information. I do hope Michael and Tess have a great life together.

"The Girl Who Cried Too Much" by Susan Lund is a heartwarming and uplifting story about a young girl named Lena who struggles with anxiety and an overactive imagination. Lena's vivid and often hilarious inner thoughts and observations bring the story to life, and her relatable struggles with anxiety will resonate with readers of all ages.

One of the things I loved most about this book was the way it approached the topic of mental health. Lena's journey is not one of quick fixes or easy solutions, but rather a realistic and nuanced portrayal of how she learns to cope with her anxiety and find her own way of managing it. The story is full of hope, humor, and ultimately a message of resilience and self-acceptance.

Overall, "The Girl Who Cried Too Much" is a delightful and poignant read that will leave you feeling inspired and uplifted. It's a great choice for readers of all ages who enjoy stories about overcoming challenges and finding the courage to be oneself.

Loved it!

Just as compelling as book one in the series. Michael & Tess become closer as more evidence is found in the case of the missing girls, but are they going to be able to find the real killer? Blame continues to be placed on the wrong people even though their terrible deeds aren't going unnoticed. The killer is out to get both Michael & Tess. Will he be stopped before any more girls go missing or one of them is killed? So many plot twists and turns! A page turner for sure!

Cry eternally

Such a great read. Want the next book but am not able to find it in Amazon’s books. I read the first two books and loved them. The suspense and the horror of what is happening in this small town in Washington state, is incomprehensible. I am like a train wreck, I need to read the last books just to know how this all ended. I recommend this series to all whom enjoy suspense at it's most reprehensible.

Enjoyed the plot and characters, but it was too repetitive. I would have loved for author to get deeper into the characters and/or expand the storyline, and not just keep repeating what was in the previous chapter(s), and sometimes what was on the previous page. First two books could have been downsized to one book. I haven't read the 3rd and don't plan on buying it.

Totally hooked on this book series!

This deals with some really sick individuals. I so want the main sicko who has gotten away with his actions for so long, to meet his comeuppance.
Can't wait to read the last book!
I really like the relationship between Michael and Tess.

Not as good

There seems to be a lot of repetition. I skipped some of it. But the story line is still keeping my interest.

What a thriller

This second book in the series is even better than the first. So suspenseful. I hope that Eugene is taken down in book three.

Repetition, repetition and more repetition. I find it amazing that I keep reading, but I guess I will finish book 3 just to see Eugene get his rewards!
