Fall is the theme on board the Siren of the Seas after Andy wagers with a rival cruise director from another ship. It’s all fun and games until somebody turns up dead. "If you like clean cozy mysteries that keep you guessing until the end, you’ll love Hope Callaghan’s Books!” Deadly Delivery - Cruise Ship Mysteries Book 14 Recipe Included! --------------------------------------------- Fall has finally arrived on board the Siren of the Seas cruise ship, although you wouldn’t know it judging by the balmy Caribbean nights and the hot, sunny days. Andy and a rival cruise director embark on a friendly wager to see whose cruise ship passengers are enjoying the new season’s fall festivities the most. It’s all hands on deck as Andy and his entertainment staff jump through hoops to ensure they win the bet. But it’s not all fun and games when a crew member dies, and to make matters worse it’s Danielle’s new cabin mate. The woman’s death is suspicious, and when an intruder sneaks into Danielle’s cabin, Millie fears for her friend’s safety. After discovering that the crew member had been receiving mysterious packages, Millie is convinced they hold the key to solving the case. Millie and friends dive head first into their own investigation to keep Danielle safe and clear her name. Will they be able to get to the bottom of the suspicious death and track down the intruder before there’s another deadly delivery?
Deadly Delivery by Hope Callaghan was another winner in this clean cozy mystery series. Millie is on the case when Danielle's roommate is murdered and Danielle becomes a suspect. I am binge reading this series and loving every minute as the cast of characters have become old friends. A peek behind the scenes of a cruise ship and it's employees is fascinating.
Deadly Delivery is the fourteenth book in Hope Callaghan’s Cruise Ship Christian Cozy Mysteries Series. This is a well thought out and intriguing mystery, with lots of things going on. The affable characters are well developed and the book flows smoothly at a steady pace, with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. Every time I pick up one of Ms. Callaghan’s books, I know I’m going to love it and Deadly Delivery didn’t disappoint me. I highly recommend this clean, well-crafted cozy mystery series as well as all Ms. Callaghan’s other books.
Millie and her husband, Captain Nic Armati, decide they haven’t been spending enough time together, so they’ve decided to make an effort to carve out time in their busy schedules for dinner and day dates. Andy Walker, the Siren of the Seas’ cruise director, and Claudia, the cruise director of Baroness of the Seas, have entered into a competition to see which one receives the largest number of positive comments related to their fall theme. They’ve even enlisted the help of the corporate activity coordinator to keep track of the comments. Andy is driving everyone crazy because he’s determined to win, which creates lots of humorous situations. Tonya Rivera has been assigned as Danielle Kneldon’s new cabin mate, Danielle isn’t at all happy. She tried to have Tonya reassigned, but was told it wouldn’t be possible until the next crew changeover which was four months away. When she learns Tonya filed a complaint against her, claiming theft among other offenses, Danielle is beside herself. Millie offers to let her sleep on the sofa bed in the apartment she shares with her husband. When they go to pack clothes and essentials, they discovered Tonya lying unresponsive on the upper bunk. Danielle readily admits she disliked Tonya, but didn’t wish her any harm, and certainly didn’t kill her. Dave Patterson, the head of security, confronts Danielle with a prescription bottle with the prescription information missing that he found in her work jacket. She adamantly claims it isn’t hers, and offers to take a drug test. Dave isn’t sure if Danielle is responsible for Tonya’s death, but things seem to be pointing at her as the prime suspect and he has to follow the evidence. Millie vows to clear Danielle’s name and prove Patterson wrong, and Annette and Cat join forces with her.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This cruise almost saw the loss of Milliwe's friend, Danielle, who was framed for the murder of her roommate. Her roommate, who had filed a complaint accusing Danielle of theft, was found dead on her bunk. Of course Danielle was a suspect, since she had been complaining about her roommate. The security chief found an empty Rx bottle in Danielle's jacket pocket, which made Danielle a prime suspect. Millie, assisted by her friends, Annette & Cat, searched for the real culprit. They found more trouble and almost lost their access cards. An accidental encounter off the ship finally revealed the true killer. Millie once again saved the day.
As usual loved the book! Who would have thought that Danielle would be the number one suspect in the murder of her roommate? It sure doesn’t help that she had planned on issuing an ultimatum to her boss in order to get her roommate out of their cabin! Mrs Callahan has a unique talent as a storyteller. She is able to entrap you to the point that once started you can’t put the book down until your finished reading it. It totally blows my mind the number of books Mrs Callahan has written in such a timely manner! She is really a fantastic author!! I know anything with her name on it is going to be read by me!
Millie is worried for her friend. Her husband the ship captain is supportive but not of her sleuthing. Will Millie transfer to security and leave her fun role of assistant cruise director? I enjoy the Bible verses in the beginning of each story. This is wholesome cozy murder mystery series. It's equals to the author's Savannah series. 😍
Deadly Delivery is another on the HIGH SEAS Hope Callaghan page turner with a FALL THEMED WAGER, plenty of fall activities, and a tasty treat (Pumpkin Crunch Cake). Her writing flows with its short paragraphs, lots of dialog, unexpected twists in the plot; making the mystery easy to read and the book hard to put down. The characters are diverse: an ordinary relatable senior sleuth Millie, a captain, a cruise director; but some characters have a mysterious or quirky side to them. Hope Callaghan's use of alliteration in the title Deadly Delivery and in the opening chapters it is apparent that the title is a double pun. Deadly Delivery Book 14 in the Cruise Ship Mystery series can be read as a stand alone and the series delivers (no pun intended) because of Hope Callaghan's incorporation of perils (theft, drugs, and more) at sea.
Millie works on a cruise ship, with her loving husband who just happens to be the Captain. Along with her friends, Millie leads a full and often busy life on the ship. Her friend Danielle recently got a new shipmate whom she didn't get along with. To their surprise, Millie and Danielle find this new crewmember dead in her bed. Fearing that she will be falsely accused, knowing that she's the prime suspect in the death, Millie and Danielle set out to solve the mystery and clear Danielle's name at the same time!
This cozy mystery takes place during Halloween time. It has a strong autumn, Halloween theme that in no way distracts from Hope Callaghan's Christian based storytelling path. It has multiple suspects, love, fun, a mention of autumn and Halloween festivities, and a strong belief that God hears your Prayers!
Fall has arrived on the ship and Andy has gone all out . He has a contest going on with another ships director. Who is going to win?
Millie has her hands full with Andy when Danielle's cabin mate is found dead in her bed. Everyone thinks Danielle did her in as they both complained about one another and who better to take her out?
Millie and her friends of course start their own investigation but the show much go on. Millie has a witch costume, Danielle has a clown outfit but what does Andy have?
Another great story in the series. Millie and Nic are still going strong, Scout is adorable as ever and the other characters are a hoot.
Danielle is not getting along with her new cabin mate. In fact, she dislikes her so much that she has handed in her resignation, hoping that the bosses will see that she is serious about getting a new room-mate. Before things come to a head, she finds the difficult roomie dead in her bunk and of course Danielle herself is a suspect when a bottle of pills are found in her jacket.
Both Danielle and Cat are having relationship problems. Danielle has split with Brody, the big security man, and Cat is upset that Dr Gundervan keeps breaking their port dates with no explanation. She suspects he is seeing his gossipy nurse, Rachel.
Another well thought out story. The clues were more obscure this time. Also in the story were several different people who were involved, but they were there to keep the story interesting and to muddy the waters, so to speak. The "stinky" crate was hilarious. So was the bet that Andy lost. Romance was very subtle, but enjoyable. The four sleuths are always good at getting into trouble. Patterson has his hands full. A wonderful time reading this book. There is never a dull moment. I can honestly say that I recommend this series of books to anyone who enjoys a good clean mystery.
I have enjoy all of the Cruise Ship stories along the way, but this one has been my favorite. It just maybe because I figured out who the perp was.
Millie and friends usually find some sort of murder to solve on each cruise, but this one struck very close to home for Danielle. Becoming the top suspect was not on her list of things to do on this cruise, nor was spending time in the brig! Millie gets to the bottom of the mystery, but not without problems along the way.
Murder on the high seas once again. Millie Armatti, assistant cruise director and wife of the the Ship's captain. Annette Delacroix, Catherine " Cat " Wellington and Danielle Kneldon round out the group of ametuer sleuths, sailing on the Siren of the Seas. Much to the chagrin of the security team, that seems to always be one step behind the girls, there schemes to sniff out clues are remarkable. Hope Callaghan always writes great stories that keep you guessing to the very end, and as a plus there is always a delicious recipe at the end, I highly recommend this series.
With the end of July quickly approaching , I was excited to read this latest book I'm the Cruise Ship Mysteries. With all of the ship's fall festivities going into place, along with a murder to solve, I am becoming excited for our fall. Not to mention the fact that Annette is always coming up with amazing recipes!. I can't wait to try this newest one! Another wonderful cozy!
I have basically read this entire series (17 books so far, I think)...they are fun and fluffy and clean. I love the Christian aspect, I love the CRUISING aspect, and the characters are pretty likable... (though admittedly, I sometimes roll my eyes at Millie getting involved once more in something or someplace she has no business being---but since that is the premise of the entire series...there you have it!) Enjoyable "summer" read, all year round.
This book has a Halloween theme with costumes, decorations and events planned around it. The murder theme has to do with drugs.
This is all I will divulge. Romance has a part to play as well, but what that means for you is to read the book and find out for yourself. There is a contest running between Andy and a Cruise Director on another ship of the line. It all makes for an interesting read.
I almost forgot, even the tasty treat from Annette is Halloween related!
I can't get enough of Hope Callaghans books but by far this is my favorite series. I loved when the captain and Millie went on their date. I also love how Millie takes up for her friends. As a older woman I enjoy her older sleuths, they really hit home. I can't wait u til her next book comes out. Great Jon Hope, another winner
Another great Cruise Ship cozy mystery! I love this series, and the characters are so likable. Millie is always up for solving a murder, and this time she has to help poor Danielle before things get out of hand. The cruise is all about Fall and Halloween, and poor Millie is roped into a less than desirable costume. Good clean fun, and a murder to solve.
Bennett's accused of murder, and Millie is right there to help her friend.
Millie and the ship are gearing up for a Fall cruise. Her former roommate and friend Danielle gets accused of murder. Millie, Kat and Annette go into action to clear her name. Lots of laughs as Andy goes all out for a Autumn theme. Can't wait until the next adventure in The British Isles.
Millie Armati assistant cruise director on the cruise ship Siren of the Seas gets involved when her old roommate Danielle is a suspect in the death of her roommate Tonya. Millie, Danielle, Cat and Annette start to investigate and as usual get into trouble especially with the ships security. A little romance and suspense!
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The characters are so fun and the storyline was very entertaining. I love that it is set on a cruise ship and makes me want to go! It came out just in time to get ready for fall too. It’s great that you don’t have to worry about offensive language.
Another great book from Hope Callaghan! I truly enjoy all the books in this series. And this book is just as good as the other ones. I was hooked from the very beginning and until the end. I try to figure them out but I just can't seem too. If you enjoy a good cozy mystery then this book and the series is for you. Enjoy!!
Millie, Danielle, Cat and Andy are back on another cruise. This time Danielle is the one suspected of murdering her bunkmate on board. Andy has a shipment come in and Millie finds that the big crate has a dead mother rat and babies nestled into the scarecrows. It is a hilarious story as they go about their daily ship lives while trying to figure who murdered the bunk mate
All of the cruise ship mysteries are a fun read. The characters are written so well that you really can see them in your mind as you read. I’m always a little sad when getting to the end of the book, I just don’t want them to end. Thank you Hope Callaghan for bringing good easy to read Christian books. You have a fan for life.
Millie's friend Danielle is suspected of murdering her obnoxious roommate. Of course, Millie, Annette, Cat plus Danielle try to figure out who really did it. In the meantime, the cruise director Andy has some crazy ideas for fall themed games, decorations, food and activities. Hope Callaghan has written some funny scenes in this mystery.
I loved this latest cozy filled with suspense, and twists and turns. The storyline was intriguing anthem characters engaging. I recommend this book to those love cozy mysteries.
.Millie and the gang investigate the death of Tonya, Danielle's nasty roommate. The cruise director, Andy is competing with another director, making it harder for the ladies to seek out clues.
Oh the things Mille gets into if you love a sweat cozy with characters you will love and a story that keeps you turning the page then this series by Hope Callaghan is a must read I can't wait till the next one
I love all of the cruise ship mysteries. I love the characters in the part they play with Millie the Cruise Director. I'm waiting for the next Cruise Ship Mystery book. These books are an easy fun read.
I feel like I am reading a long letter from a friend telling me all about a murder on her ship. Nic and Millie's wonderful marriage, Danielle, Cat, Annette, and Amit helping to catch the murderer. A wonderful catch up with friends mystery.
