From award-winning author, Christina Kaye, comes her sixth suspense title with a supernatural twist...

Reggie Foster has done an amazing job of blending into the small town of Irvine, Kentucky. For five years, she has laid down roots, started a new career, and even made a few friends. Even more impressive? She’s hiding in plain sight and no one even remotely suspects she’s not who she says she is.

When a six-year-old girl goes missing and she begins having visions that might help find her, Reggie has no choice but to take the risk of telling the police only one of her many secrets…that she’s a psychic. She gambles with her freedom when she turns to Detective Jack Benton, a former big-city cop trying to escape a traumatic past, and offers to help with the investigation.

Reggie finally convinces Detective Benton to give her a chance. With the help of Warren Harvey, a search and rescue organizer battling his own personal demons, the three form a rather unorthodox task force.

Somehow Reggie must help the team find the missing girl while keeping the others from discovering the truth about her past.

Reggie has secrets. 1. Her name is not Reggie. 2. She's been running and hiding for 10 years. 3. She's haunted by something she did ..and now someone is out to kill her. 4. She is psychic ...although she's tried to deny it for many years.

Living in a small town has its ups and downs. She blends in well, and feels safe. But she has visions ... visions of a little girl that has gone missing. She has a choice ... forget what she's seen...or tell the town's only detective that she's psychic. Of all the people she's avoided for years, police would be the last people she'd talk to.

Detective Jack Benton pooh-poohs her claims .. at least at first. But when he finds something that she had described in detail, he begins to think she really does see things that no one else does.

With the help of Warren Harvey, a search and rescue organizer battling his own personal demons, the three form a rather unorthodox task force.

Reggie must help find the missing girl and protect her identity ..and her life ... without anyone knowing.

This is a well-written romantic suspense. I like Reggie's psychic abilities and how she comes to accept them. The attraction between Reggie and Jack leads to all kinds of problems for them to solve in the midst of their investigation. The ending was somewhat of a surprise.

Many thanks to the author who provided a digital copy of this Suspense. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

Haunted by a tragic secret, psychic Reggie has made a home for herself in the small town of Irvine, Kentucky. A child goes missing and Reggie steps up to aid the police in finding where this child has gone, sliding back into the role she filled once before, in another town, with another name.
Jack is the detective in charge of the missing child case, he’s new to the area, having relocated after the death of his partner left him reeling. When Reggie comes up to him with knowledge she shouldn’t have, he’s leery, but takes her help. Along with Warren, an expert search and rescue organizer Jack’s called in to help, the three set out to find the missing girl and return her to her mother.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The mix of characters, from the drug addicted mother of the missing child, to the two women who own the house where Reggie lives were well thought out. The writing pulls you in, and the story keeps you wanting more. The ending threw me, I was surprised, which rarely happens. I usually figure out the ending well before the story actually comes to a close, but this time I didn’t. I was shocked.
I had to give this book 5 stars, it’s just that good.

This was my first Christina Kaye book but will most likely not be my last. I really enjoyed the story she wove and the characters she created -- I became invested and driven to see how their story ended up.

The title could actually refer to more than one character but so that I don't give away any spoilers, I'll just leave it at that. There are multiple multi-faceted characters and the story takes you through the ins and outs of each. Our heroine, Reggie, and our hero, Jack, are two of the very relatable characters you will meet along the way. I have to admit that the ending was a bit of a surprise -- I wasn't expecting Jack to make the choice that he did -- but it was an enjoyable one.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every page and was glad to have had the privilege of reading this ahead of release. If you enjoy romantic suspense, you will want to check this one out.

This is the first book I've read by Christina Kaye, and I was enthralled after having only read the first couple of paragraphs.

The storyline is gripping and holds you captive right through until the very end. I enjoy mysteries and especially love playing 'detective/sleuth', taking pride in my puzzle/dilemma solving abilities, but I readily admit I didn't predict the outcome that ultimately unravels in this suspenseful mystery-thriller. Christina Kaye is a gifted storyteller with compelling insight and compassionate understanding of human nature.

I highly recommend 'Presumed Dead', and am eagerly looking forward to reading many more of Christina Kaye's novels.

“Presumed Dead” turned out to be a great thriller, full of suspense, with characters whose circumstances had me riding on the edge of my seat. Its pace is fast, and I finished this one in a single evening. Kaye’s gift of writing suspense is clear in “Presumed Dead” – a must read for lovers of thriller and suspense novels.

Kaye throws plenty of curves into the story that will keep the reader guessing and on edge. Through it all, Reggie, Jack, and Warren come together to solve a missing person’s case guaranteed to pull at the heartstrings. With an ending ushered in on waves of satisfying, suspense-filled drama, this is a story that will not disappoint.

This is my second book by this author that I have read to which I have totally enjoyed both. I did find this one to not be as deeply twisted with many plot twists as the first one I read A Necessary Evil but it still had that suspenseful quality about it that had you glued to each chapter. I love a mystery that I cannot pick from the start or the middle and be blown away by it at the very end. I have voluntarily read an ARC of this romantic suspense book and this is my honest review.
This is a fast-paced read with multiple points of views told throughout this book by Reggie, Jack and Warren.

Another great book by Christina Kaye! I love anything dealing with psychics, and was really looking forward to reading this one. I wasn't disappointed. It kept me guessing the whole time, and I was definitely surprised by a couple of different things in the end. With all of the different ways the author could have gone with the story, I had no idea it would end up the way it did. If you like a thriller that keeps you guessing, this one is it!

I was honored enough to be able to read an ARC of Presumed Dead by Christina Kay. It is a fast-paced read and, while I was able suss out some of the outcomes, the big twist at the end caught me off guard. It was an enjoyable book and I'm glad I had the opportunity to read it.

I have read many books along this genre but this one is by far the best. It had me on the edge of my seat. I tried to figure out what was happening before it would happen or before clues were presented but would never guess right. I just never would have dreamed of who actually did it. Never. Christina Kaye has done a fabulous job in writing this book. This is my first time reading her work and will want to read more. You will definitely NOT be disappointed she is a brilliant writer in the mystery genre.

great read

Kept me wanting to come back for more. Interesting, story line with multiple tales of mystery intertwined. Kept you wondering till the end what had truly happened and even then gave you a look at how things worked out afterwards. Great job by the author to draw the reader in so well.
