Gemini Rising is a powerful story of one woman fighting adversity, despite terrible odds. We meet sweet Aisha just before she turns ten. Her situation changes with the death of her father, and things grow unimaginably worse when she gets a new ‘guardian’, Angel.

Aisha’s story pulled me in from the opening paragraph and didn’t let me go until the last page. Zephyr, the hero, lives up to his name and is a refreshing wind of change in Aisha’s life. The pacing and suspense kept me hooked as I rooted for Aisha to overcome her circumstances.

Gemini Rising is not for the faint of heart. The ‘hard parts’ are not graphic, but still enough to move you to tears, and there’s hope between these pages. This is easily one of the best books I’ve read this year.

Although this is a debut offering from the author, Scott's style is so powerful, it’s hard to believe this is her first book.

I’ll be waiting for more from Ms. Scott.

New author MarZ’e Scott is brilliantly talented. Her vivid imagination created a debut novel that you won’t forget. The story will pull at your heartstrings, fill you with anger and will tickle your senses with joy. You’ll root for Aisha, AKA, Gemini, love Jephte and loathe Angel. Truly emotional in every page you turn and that’s what make a great read! Bravo, my sister. You did that!

Awesome Debut!!

Aisha Mosley is no everyday working girl. Given away just days before her tenth birthday, losing her innocence before her thirteen birthday, and living a life of prostitution into adulthood was not what she envisioned. However, Aisha was determined to turn her tragedies into triumphs!! Working by day as an accounting assistant she meets Zypher Gray. He’s smitten with her but she’s afraid of him and anyone else finding out who she really is. Love at first sight keeps Zypher in her face. Will she be able to have the love she desires with Zypher or will her life continue to be hell on earth?
Marzé Scott has penned an phenomenal debut. The story is well written and draws you in from the first page. Each sentence keeps you wanting to know more. I recommend this read to every avid, occasional, or beginning reader!!

A Great First Novel!

In her debut novel, MarZe Scott tells the story of Aisha, a young woman with enormous potential, and an even bigger secret. As she attempts to navigate a complicated relationship with the seductive Zephyr Grey, her secret threatens not only her happiness, but also her life. MarZe was unflinching but compassionate in her portrayal of a woman who deserved a much better hand than one she was dealt. The story was rife with emotions and an optimism that was refreshing against Aisha's dark past. I look forward to Scott's next novel!

Can't keep a good spirit down

Aisha had a hard life. I can't imagine how she would even know what good felt like. There were times when I just wanted to reach through and give her a good shake. But I can see her inability to trust anything but what she knew. The level of evil some off the characters possess is disturbing. The file thoughts and actions come across the pages as if you were there.

Bravo

I enjoyed the story. Parts of it were hard to read but it is reality for many. This was my first read from this author and I like her writing style. I appreciate that she took the time to have her book professionally edited. This book was about childhood innocence, Loss, redemption and love. Aisha decided not to let the hand that she was dealt define her future. Bravo to Marze' Scott for an awesome debut. I look forward to reading more of her work.

Gemini

I throughly enjoyed reading Gemini by MarZé Scott. Scott’s writing and attention to detail is impeccable. Although I found subject matter disturbing and at times difficult to read, I felt that Scott did an excellent job of conveying the exploitation of Gemini. I look forward to more work from this author.

EyeCU Approved and highly recommended.

Gemini Rising is a great read. The story was full of drama, passion, and suspense. The story reminds of a modern day, black Pretty Woman. Kudos to the author.

What is love?

The book was very good. From childhood to an adult Aisha's life accused her to not know love. Before she finally found it, she knew she had to find out why.
This novel was well written, keeping the reader engaged from the beginning to the end. The characters were intriguing with surprises thrown in to complete their lives. This book was a very good read.

In her debut Story, Marze takes you on an amazing rollercoster ride. There was no sense of predictability, and she keeps you guessing until the very end. I grew to feel sorry for Aisha for what happened to her, and I was so glad Zephyr came into her life. Unlike some of the people in our book discussion, I don't care how fine Angel was, there was no way I could like him as a character (which is a sign of amazing writing). And that ending was heart stopping, I held my breath at several parts of it. Amazing job, and I can't wait for your next book.

Excellent Read

This book is responsible for an entire day of no productivity. I couldn’t put it down. The beginning flows so beautifully that it reads like poetry. The story is well developed and the characters are written so well you feel like you’re right there. It’s somewhat predictable near the end, but not in a disappointing, disengaging way. Very good book.
