An interesting, behind-the-scenes look at the politics that brought the Colorado Rockies and Florida Marlins into Major League Baseball. The political dealings in Colorado alone over many levels of government are fascinating and full of controversy. A little too much background on the scouts that made up the Marlins expansion war room. Unfortunately, Whitford did not give the reader the list of players that were actually taken in the expansion draft, ending with the first two picks and comments about the expansion draft.
