I read this small book - 44 pages, thinking it’s soft porn or just smut but it packed a huge angst punch! This has cheating galore and will piss you off lol.🤬
I was not expecting such a tiny book to make me feel, even if it’s just anger.😂


Even though I hated everyone in this story, it had crazy amount of angst so I am giving it 3 stars.

He’s been fucking the younger sister for 2 yrs, and it started the night before his wedding to the older sister.
The younger sister is 20 yrs old, the H is 32. His wife is 7 years older than the h.
He likes spanking and giving pain, his wife only wants vanilla sex and he finds her boring.
I fucking hated this asshole! And the book is told in this fuckers POV.


The sisters are both gorgeous.
He’s married to the sweet Mary Sue who dresses plainly but he can’t get the sexy, bad girl younger sister out of his mind so he has sex with her everyday!
The younger sister hates her older sister because she betrayed her when she was 13.

I was lucky enough to score an ARC of Playing With Fire and Dalton and Scarlett are two supremely fucked up individuals—and I AM HERE FOR IT!

Playing with Fire is one of those stories that affects you in a very visceral way. It’s hard to read. At some parts I had to put the my kindle down and breath. There are no good guys, just different degrees of bad.

Marselas does bad very very good.

It’s hard to know who to root for, and by the end of it I was questioning my morals, my values and my damn sanity. This book is a must read for both angst and smut lovers a like.

I was one of the lucky ones to be honored to receive this as an ARC by Erica. This is her first published work and I will say she has hit it out of the park... What a story!!

This story follows the scandalous lives of Dalton and Scarlett. Each knowing what the other needs but, with every great love affair, they have a BIG obstacle in their way!! What they share together is hot, heady and leaves you panting and wanting more after the last line. (you may need an extra pair of panties when you read this)

The way Erica writes, you cant help but feel like you are somehow part of the story. I can't wait to read more of her stories an if the glimpse of.her next book is anything to go by we will not be disappointed..

I would recommend this story to every one of my friends as well as making sure they keep her in their sights as an up an comer.

So I was one of the lucky ones to get the ARC of Playing With Fire and from the jump I was hooked. This short steamy read is GOLD. So good, I cried at the end. (Spoiler alert, it’s not sad). It’s brilliant. The set up, the backstory was just enough to invest in the characters but not overpowering for this sexy novella. Dalton and Scarlett are fucked up beyond repair and yet— I was rooting for them. I LOVE a story like that. The last few pages my heart was in my throat wondering what in the hell was just beyond the next page. You can almost feel the sexual tension dripping off the page. I loved it!!

She wrote the hell out of this story (pun intended.) So proud of you, DC! Bring on Watching You!

Appropriately Titled

Dalton and Scarlet are so hot together. It felt wrong to want them to be with each other but oh so right at the same time.
I only wish there was more of this!!

Playing with Fire, is a short novella and most definitely a steamy read.

Dalton Harris is our protagonist, who couldn’t resist the flames of Alyssa and Scarlett (literally they both had fiery red hair). Of course with smut we are brought to our knees imagining his cocks abilities, how he can balance two woman, a successful legal career and seeing glimpse into this world for kink. Of course this kink isn’t with his wife Alyssa rather her younger, adventurous sister Scarlett.

We see how the affair unfolds, but also the consequences surrounding it.

How could I not mention the lemons, HOT HOT HOT, utterly flaming and straight to the point.

As a smutty/erotica work I give it 3.5 stars.

If you are looking for something quick to make your cheeks flame up give "Playing With Fire" a go.

Playing with Fire is intriguing and so hot! I instantly fell in love with Dalton!! I had to fan myself while reading because of him!

Now, Dalton and Scarlett... I was cheering them on the whole way through! How could you not want them to be together? How can something so wrong seem so right? It made me question my morals by the end of this book!

This is a must read! It’ll suck you in quickly! I finished this in one sitting and I already want to read it again! I enjoyed that much! Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Erica!
