"The Book of Psalms is an ancient collection of poetical meditations and prayers that comprise the 19th book of the Christian Old Testament and the third section of the Hebrew Bible. The word “Psalm” is derived from a Greek word meaning “instrumental music”, and the psalms themselves include many musical qualities, such as repetition and opposition. While many of the psalms are attributed to King David, his authorship is disputed by many biblical scholars.

Psalm is such a joy to read. There a chapters that just magnify and glorify God. There are also chapters where the writer will pour out their complaint and anguish to God. What I appreciate about Psalm is that it doesn't matter how the writer starts off complaining, it always ends with a triumphant praise.

I make a practice of consecutively praying through the Psalms (in various translations). Now that I have finished with the NIV Psalms, which I was using in the evenings, I am continuing with the NKJV Psalms (mornings) and returning to the ASV Psalms in the evenings.

God's Word speaks to you in so many ways. Whether starting the Psalm complaining about your situation it always ends praising the Creator since we know that He hears and responds in His time. He never leaves us nor pushes us away.
