This was my favorite book in the series. You can't ask for more desirable qualities than you get in this edition of the adventure. I also enjoyed the structure of the chapters, flipping the first person narration between the two main characters.

There is a super intelligent female protagonist with an adventurous spirit and humble manner and an open-minded, hard-working man who is a great counterpart for her. The timeline in this book gives a great backdrop to explore the eras and also, realistically, have all the generations of Harmons come into play. Now throw in some mild romance and mob suspense and you have the perfect blend!

This book works great as stand-alone if you were interested in picking up just one to see how you will like the series. The omnibus is available also to enjoy them all!
