After 2.5 months I’m finally done with this book (insert a “finally” gif). When you compare it to the N5&4, the N3 is a completely different beast in every way imaginable. The sentences are more complex and so is the grammar and unlike the N5&4 where they pretty much focus on formal Japaneseけいご (Keigo), this book introduces many slangs and casual Japanese words that you won’t find in the previous books and I found this addition to be really helpful because your average Japanese won’t be talking with you in けいご so to be able to understand them you have to learn casual Japanese.
