This is a cute story, but not enough to hold me for long.
The characters go through the volume saying they are dating secretly, but they don't act like a couple at any time.
They are always surrounded by friends, are never alone outside of school and when they are alone they act like two friends instead of a couple.
At the end of the story the mangaka tells the story of how they came to date and despite the relationship being new, this doesn't really justify their lack of privacy.
Even with a new relationship, one would expect them to have at least ONE scene in which they acted as a couple. Be it a loving hug or a kiss (even on the cheek!).
I'm not hopeful about the story.

slow start but they're cute and the later books are worth sticking around!

Very slow-paced but it does have quite a lot of cute and also funny moments!
It is a bit annoying how often is mentioned that they are in a *secret* relationship, even though I actually do like the secret relationship trope...
Maybe because it's clearly stressing Chidori out, and the friends also seem supportive of queers? At least there was a chapter that more or less confirmed that the friends aren't homophobic.
I do get it's not that easy, but I do hope they (esp. Chidori) find the courage to tell them soon.
The highlights were when they held hands, which happened twice in this volume!
The funniest moment for me probably was the messaging scene (esp. with the friends' reactions) and the scene in the nurse room (with the nurse's obliviousness). XD
That one comment of Chidori thinking hugging her crush is shameful, left me a bit icky. I hope that was a translation mistake, because why would hugging someone be shameful?? If it meant "holding" or kissing, okay, but hugging??

i hadn't read a manga in years but i saw a scan from it on twitter and it made me want to read it.

very cute start. i like that this series doesn't really have a plot, there are just moments of their relationship. i just hope we will see their relationship evolve and we can see the couple alone more.

"My bestfriend is my lover but no one knows" - it's a slow paced manga but still wholesome. Finishing up vol. 1-13, it was cute and glad to see they got their happy ending.
