This book picks up right where the last one ends.
We get more in depth with Master Chains and who he is as a person outside of the dominance he exudes daily.
I can’t help comparing this to 50 shades since that is the series most people think of when it comes to BDSM related books. And I’m simply going to say toss that shit in the trash and pick this book up.
This Dom doesn’t use his messed up past as an excuse to be a sadist. Yes there is a connection between Ana & Christian…. But the connection between Cleo & Marcus…. Astounding. Marcus is a good person. Period. And when he loses her he doesn’t goad her back into a relationship with false promises. He’s real and straightforward with Cleo from the very beginning and he realizes her worth. When he said “I will do whatever except let you go.” I almost melted.
The scenes in this book 🥵 just as Fire as the 1st one. The 1st books action was a little fast paced. There were a few things I wish they’d incorporate because mainly Master Chains seems to do everything right in the bedroom. So small things I was like “wish they’d changed that… or that isn’t plausible.” But it didn’t ruin anything in the slightest.
There are 2 more books in this series and I’m eager to continue.

I liked this book a lot more than the first one!! I like Cleo more in this one. I’m glad Marcus and her worked through the privacy problem. I’m also glad that Cleo is finally accepting herself and her desires. Her boss is fucking asshole. I’m curious what is going on with Richard???

I don't remember how I stumbled upon this series, but I'm extremely happy that I did. It's not often that I identify with a character as much as I do with the male protagonist in this tale. I am now Eazy Rawlins, Jack Reacher, James Bond, Hawk and Marcus.🤣🤣🤣
My only complaint is this four book series could've easily been done in three books, and even though it is a multi-book series, there are SO MANY unanswered and unresolved situations that are impossible to ignore. The author had FOUR books to get it done, but the effort to do so comes up woefully short.
First and foremost the relationship with the protagonist's parents. Multiple times the author alludes to the existence of animus between son and parents, but never explains why. Is it this situation that created Marcus? Seeing as how Marcus' lifestyle is a central tenet of the book, it would've been nice to have it explained so that I would've had a better understanding of one of the main characters. How did he become the man that he is in books 1-4?
For this story to completed a fifth book is not only warranted, it is necessary. Other than that it is an EXCEPTIONAL read.👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥

I loved this series even more when I read it the second time
I reread this series of books after I read the "Perception " series. I am glad that I did. Those books added a whole other layer of depth to this story and the world of these characters. I liked Delilah and Cleo because they both had fiesty and strong personalities. Thanks for painting a favorable light ln the BDSM lifestyle. I feel that those that participate in this lifestyle choice are greatly misunderstood, judged and often looked at as though there is something wrong with them simply because their sexual prefrences. They are not right or wrong. They just are. Society in general is quick to judge that which it does not understand. People are often so stuck in their moral beliefs of right and wrong that they don't want see beyond their own prejudice. If people did not read books containing subject matter about BDSM, whether fiction or non fiction, they would not sell like they have been. Thus, there would not be such a huge interest. Look at Fifty Shades of Grey. The books and movies were extreemly popular even though they were highly critisised.

Chains and Links
Exciting read. This is a new author to me. I was unaware this book was not complete in one volume, so I have been twice surprised to find out I have more to read. That is not bad news, I just prefer to know upfront. There are also some editing issues. As for the story, the longer length gives more opportunity to learn more about the characters. I am liking the good guys, and the author does villains pretty convincingly as well. It will make for an explosive outcome in the third volume if that is, indeed, the end. The two so far have been major cliffhangers, which frustrates me, as I am not patient enough to wait for the the next book, and have forgotten much from the previous part, because I read so many books in between. I choose to wait till they are all out and hopefully buy them as a boxset. Otherwise I have been totally caught up in the story.

I am absolutely positively even more in love with Master Chain's
I love Cleo feisty attitude I feel as though she grew in this book finally standing up for self a bit, Cleo is always trying to push Marcus to get a reaction out of him to show him she is willing and wanting to accept and understand his dominating ways in his play room. Marcus is a very intense, dominating alphas male he has never been in love his is struggling trying to maintain control when with Cleo trying to hold on to the man he is and be the man he thinks Cleo deserves. The flow of the story really works well it has just enough drama, emotions, suspense and super sexy hot scenes to keep you captivated to the very end and leave you wanting more

Ok overall I really enjoyed this story even though there were times I was having a feeling of dejavu. Not really sure and I know that's not the right thing to say in a review but none the less it's true. It took me a way from the story. As soon as I would get into the plot with the characters I would feel that feeling of I've been here before I've read this. Perhaps it may be because the kept going over the same things through out the whole book. THE CONTRACT. But there were a few times it wasn't just about the contract. Oh well I'm still reading the rest of the series because holy cliffhanger dude's I want to know why Richard is showing up in the lol.

Finally Together
The ups and downs of Cleo and Marcus command anyone dizzy, but they're finally togegher. They both have to !earn how to navigate a relationship and trust each other. Many secrets have to come out and discussions know to work things out a must. I just want to beat the dragon lady to death because she's the chase of a lot of problems. Clean has to accept everything and hope for the best. They have to show the world they are a couple and go their merry way. Can't wait for the next one.

Not sure how I’m liking the story if I’m honest. The sex on a constant gets a bit old. Not sure why he’s as dominant as he is there’s still no explanation into that. It also gets to be a bit annoying to hear them talk about this non existent contract. This is second book and still not many answers for things that have been happening or happened. Cleo FINALLY stand up to her boss who I will say was just shocking how nasty that woman is. Things didn’t seem to get better til the end so 3rd book is on its way to be read.

Her boss is the devil and Cleo's sisters health insurance and roof over there head is on her shoulders . The only problem I have with this book is the word knob when you read it you'll understand

Just Yes!
Oh, this series just keeps getting better! Marcus and Cleo are everything and more! The suspense, that seems to be standard in Shandi Boyes books, is prominent throughout the entire book. The steamy scenes are off the charts hot, Marcus is definitely a Master! I love the supporting characters that are their family...so much depth in this series. I can't wait to start on the next book!

My norm is to read the free book and forget about the restOf the series.That’s why I prefer standalones. This one got me though. I actually paid real money for the second book and then the third. The quality of the writing is worth it. I can’t wait to find out more of The story of Cleo and Marcus!

Not sure what to write as all I can think about is what happens next. Need to e for sleep tho. Love the way Cleo goes thru her journey, and hopefully along the way we will get to see Bianca get what should be coming to her with the bullying, but Mr Carson hasn't really been seen either. Now to see Richard back around you know it cant be good.

Just starting into book 3 in this series. Id say a 3.5 rating, the only thing bumping up to a 4 instead of a 3 being the last few chapters. So far the story has been very repetitive and seemingly not going anywhere. Hopefully the last couple (more exciting) chapters are an inclination of a building story! Also lots of grammatical and punctuation issues, at least on the Kindle!

The first book was fantastic and the same can be said for Links.
It’s full of suspense, sexy hot scenes with some swooning thrown in!

This was another great book by Shandi. She knows how to write to draw you into the story and keep you wanting more. The relationship between Marcus and Cleo is a roller coaster ride that you never want to get off of. You do not want to miss this story.

This one was even better than the first. Cleo stopped bring so flaky and embraced herself and her interests and it made her 100% more likeable! Her and Marcus are insanely cute together. I also adore Lexi and Jackson.

Dnf around 50% mark. I lost all interest in continuing the second book and couldn’t imagine what more there could be to write about that warranted 2 additional books. It became very repetitive.
