Lucan knows everything about everybody. No one really knows to what depths he descends to take care of the Valdez family. He has secrets of his own, a past he keeps carefully hidden from even his brothers. His worlds collide when a stunning woman shows up no one has ever seen before, no one except Lucan. Sammy knows her appearance in Torren will create some waves, especially with Lucan. But she doesn't know how else to get his attention.
Sophia Summers is an award winning author who just wants to relax a little and enjoy a great beach read. She lives in a quiet southern town brimming with an extra dose of hospitality and a whole lot of charm.
She writes historical romance under a different name. The Billionaire Royals is her first contemporary romance series.
In this book we meet Anna, a princess and a spy who is knows as Sammy. She has a tough exterior and works very hard with her undercover work. When her mother falls ill she returns to Spain to be with her. When her mother passes she will then be crowned Queen Anna of Spain. Then there is prince Lucan of Torren, spy name Lance, and his family. He is the last of the bothers who is unwed and feeling the pressure of his family to ‘rectify’ that situation. We find out rather quickly that there are feelings between him and Anna but they both won’t let the other know how they really feel. They met at training in an elite class of international espionage. Both families however know nothing of this. They are both undercover and use alias’ and fake jobs/schools to cover why they are leaving to different countries and such. Once they both decide to quit their espionage jobs, they find that some of their enemies may have found their true identities. They tried to work together to try and keep their families safe, but it was not working. Lucan decides to let the love he has for her go and sets out on spy missions again alone in hopes to end any threats to Queen Anna but can he keep everyone safe and be reunited together?
The mix of being royal and a spy was an interesting twist. Somehow Lucan and Anna (Sammy) have been able to live in both worlds. I enjoyed both Lucan and Anna's characters and enjoyed them together. Their relationship is sweet, but they have some things to work out to really make a go at their relationship. This was an intriguing fun story. My only complaint was I felt the ending was rushed. I wish there had been more details and conversation. Also, this book is part of a series, but stands on it's own, except it contains spoilers from the other books. I wish I had read the other books first, but it wasn't necessary to enjoy this book.
This sweet romance delves into the difficulties in combining a public relationship with the undercover intelligence work that Lucan and Sammy both trained for. Each part of a royal family, they've had to work hard to maintain their covers and keep their work separate from palace life. But when Sammy, AKA Princess Anna, must become Queen Anna, it seems there's no chance they'll ever be able to work things out.
Lucan has several gut-wrenching moments where he has to choose between his love and his duty. How these two work out solutions to these problems was wonderful to see, and I rejoiced with them when they found their HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
The final Prince, Lucan, and his story of his HEA!
And so, this ends the six brothers and their special lady who completes their HEA! This book was about Lucan, head of security, but oh so much more in the background. Another sweet, clean romance with lots of intrigue continually happening. Dahlia is also brought into this book more than any of the prior books in the series, so the base is laid for the final book in this series. Good fairy tale books that are quick, easy reads and totally clean. I just started the books and had to read each one to see what happened with each of these rich, handsome royal boys! Another intriguing fascinating read with mystery, love, and tradition that was very fun and addictive. I was glued till the last page was turned. It is a wonderful read with unexpected good twists and turns. Ana and Lucan are both trained to be spies without their families knowing. They fell in love but being royals and assignments have kept them apart. There is loss, love and misunderstanding on the way to a solution to see if these two could have a HEA. I voluntarily reviewed this standalone ARC.
Prince Lucan of Torren and Princess Anna of Spain lead double lives as Royals and as elite undercover spies. Recently crowned Queen, Anna knew she would no longer live a double life. Lucan realied after his last mission that his espionage days were over too. Leading a royal life is fraught with problems. Will they be able to navigate love with the added pressures of their past lives catching up to them?
I have enjoyed all seven of the books in this series that I have read so far. The characters are quickly developed and I feel like I know them. I only wish the books were longer. I feel like I'm just getting started and the story is done. There are good twists and turns that I didn't expect, but they made for a fascinating read. I am looking forward to the Princess's story as well as Sophia's next series!
I do love a good spy story. This one did not disappoint. It was full of action, intrigue and suspense even though it was short. Lucan and Sammy studied espionage with an elite group together. The problem was she was a Princess and he was a Prince in real life. When Sammy’s mother passes away Sammy becomes Queen Anna of Spain. Can Lucan give up his days as a spy to protect and care for her before their past catches up to them?
Royalty being spies is a definite twist from the usual. The plot is exciting; the well-developed characters are likable; and the pacing is perfect. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to clean romance readers. I plan to read more of Sophia Summers' work. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this well-written book.
This story continues with Prince Lucan – the brother in charge of the security over all the family and the holdings. He is actually so much more than that. The secret life he leads is dangerous and very needed. When an old flame needs him, things change rapidly and the danger escalates. A lot of suspense, strain, and sorrow are in this book. I highly enjoyed it!
What a beautiful love story between Anna & Lucan. They both had me from the beginning.. Such a true love with so much excitement . Happy they could finally be together. Beautifully written 💗
I love dynamics of Lucan and Anna's relationship. They met under unusual circumstances but developed a great love for one another. Lucan was born a prince but now he's risen up to be a king.
This book is great for every age. Mystery, supence, and a lovely romance storey. You can't put this one down...and I am moving to Book 8. We are short on a royal wedding which I am not wanting to miss.
This story about Lucan and Sammy was with a lot of adventure and intrigue. Their lives were constantly in danger when they were together. Thankfully they came to realize that their lives needed to be together. Loved this story.
I have read several of the Billionaire Royals series but I have not read them in order. I think to fully appreciate these books, you need to read them in order. The characters are strong and adventuresome and the story is good but I feel like I am missing a lot of back story.
None of them have gotten five stars because I’m pretty picky about my five star ratings anymore. I really liked this one. Action/adventure/nearly realistic relationship problems/romance/HAE.
