The old house sat forlorn and abandoned. Its empty windows staring out at the rocky California coastline. Its owner long dead. A recluse, her body not even discovered for several weeks after her death. Drake and Emma had picked it up for just back taxes, a steal in the prime real estate market of Haven’s Landing. But, as they worked to restore the house, Emma more and more finds herself strangely unable to remember her nights. Apparently, very passionate ones according to Drake. And, just who is this imaginary playmate of Sarah’s? The ‘Nice Lady’ that visits every day, having tea with her and her dolls. Even worse, Em’s whole personality seems to slowly be changing. Her shy and modest demeanor becoming more and more like that of some ‘Wild Child.’ A ‘Wild Child,’ almost like the previous owner had been. Disowned by her parents, never returning to Haven’s Landing until after their death, finding herself their sole living relative. Ultimately, dying alone in the big master bedroom. Drake finds the changes in his ‘new’ wife rather fascinating. At least, at first. But, as time goes by, even he can’t deny the depth of the change. Emma was being ever so slowly consumed by an alternate personality. One that threatened to take over their lives. Wanting Drake… Wanting Sarah… Wanting it all…

Well done spooky story.
