Suburbia: A Hotwife Novel

Rate this book
Craig and Tara were in a funk. Trying to have kids has sucked all the fun out of their love life, and the frustration is starting to threaten their marriage.

John and Candace were in a routine. Go to work. Take care of the kids. Maybe have a quick bit of fun if there was time.

Life was boring and predictable in the middle of suburbia. Until two couples decide they're tired of doing what everyone expects. They decide to take a walk on the wild side with a night of alcohol, hot tubs, and forbidden pleasure in the arms of another couple!

Because that's the thing about the quiet life in the suburbs. Sometimes the pressure boils over, and who knows what will happen as two sexy couples blow the lids off their marriage and do every depraved thing they've been fantasizing about with each other?

Just About Right

Right length. Right amount of tension and doubt. Right amount of GG. Right amount of voyeurism.

Two couples explore their wife sharing and husband sharing fantasies for real. Everyone has a great time. The sex scene was long and very hot.

I really liked the last chapter. What a great ending showing us that they still got after each other well into the future while still being in committed loving marriages.

A very good read from Lexi Archer. Recommend you read Hank’s and Ron’s reviews for a good outline of the story.

I’m at a 4.5 rating, rounding down to 4 Stars.

Why not 5 Stars? I didn’t really feel the warmth in the relationships between husbands and wives. And although there’s an attraction between lovers, I didn’t feel the chemistry.

The story is told from a single point of view, which is usually fine. I think the issue is I didn’t hear enough from the others about their feelings. The other husband is particularly silent. I also thought the argument between the MC’s wasn’t as well articulated as it could have been. We don’t really hear why wife Tara flipped her thinking so markedly.

A very good effort and the “night to remember” is really hot.

Teasers

Wives teasing husbands on request during and after pool and hot-tub play excitement. 55% into the tale wife swapping begins as wives exhibit by-sexual lesbian talent with 69. Took a while for courage to overcome their inhibitions but well worth the wait once sex began in earnest. Lexi Archer weaves a sexy tale. I recommend patient reading of the first half of this book as it slowly but surely prepares Archer fans for an erotic ride.

Entertaining Read

The book is well written and an enjoyable read. It has drama related to a couple of different issues and it provides sexual satisfaction for all characters; something frequently lacking in many wide-sharing stories. I enjoyed it.

Suburbia

This is a really good sexy story about two couples, neighbors, who finally succeed in swapping wives for the first time.

This was a somewhat disappointing novel.

It’s told from the husbands point of view only. The couple have been married for five years and have no kids. Wife is not on birth control. There is a great deal of self dialogue.

They talk freely and there is a good connection.

Too much is made about past adventures that are not explained. The conflict is typical. Husband wants to watch another man service wife. The argument ensues for about a third of the book. Far too long.

She is torn by fear of getting pregnant, and husband wanting to play with neighbor wife.

This drones on for what seems forever before wife gets into it and they have a back yard party of two couples. From then on, pregnancy fear disappears. There is no solution mentioned.

The sex is constantly interrupted with unnecessary dialogue. All in the husbands mind. There is too much clutter to the plot. The storyline begins to drag even with hot action.

A lot of the ‘angst’ is generated by lack of birth control. Apparently writer is unaware of ‘plan B”. She doesn’t appear to be aware of other methods than the ‘pill’ either.

By the time it started getting interesting, I was bored. The hot tub doesn’t begin until 61% into the story. Too much build up.

This was a disappointment. I will NOT be buying this one.

It needs serious editing and trimming. Plus include wife’s perspective. Both of these points would help with clarity and flow.

Interesting story but needs wife's point of view. Also it is not hotwife novel, not even swingers one but simple wife swapping story.
