Unexpected Sunlight is a collection of poems written during a time of transition. While these poems were being written, I became a father, moved to a new city, started a new job, created a jazz interview show, and fell in love with poetry again.
For day 7 of the Sealey Challenge, I read my own book for the first time in many years. It's such a snapshot of a particular point in my life. Many of the people in it are no longer part of my life. There are some I can't even identify. It's dedicated to my co-parent. It opens with some odd choices. But I'm still proud of it. Maybe one of these days I'll put out another one.
