Grayslake: More Than Mated: Growling For Mine is by Alexa Riley and is part of the Grayslake: More Than Mated Kindle World series. This is only my second book by Alexa Riley and I am most definitely hooked.
Lola has had enough. She lives with her mother but even though she has given her mom half of the rent, there is an eviction notice on the door. Who knows what she did with the money. So Lola packs her belongings and takes off in her old car. She’s been feeling drawn to Grayslake. She’s heard that shifters live there. She feels pulled for some reason. She finds herself smack dab in the middle of a blizzard though. She’s never even seen snow before, let alone drive an old car in it. Her luck doesn’t hold and she needs saving, badly. That’s how Bleu found her.
Bleu is a bear shifter. He earns his money by making beautiful wood crafted furniture. He loves living alone until recently. He’s been feeling lonely and like he was missing something. Then he heard the scream. It didn’t take long to find the source of the sound and he found the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.
“Mine.”
“Seeing her lying there so helpless as she slept made my heart ache, and I knew I wanted to keep her. She needs someone to care for her and keep her safe, and I can do that. She will make a fine mate.”
This is an adorable and sexy story about two people searching for something but not realizing what it was until they found each other. This is definitely a story that will make you both smile and sigh. I’m sensing a pattern here with Alexa’s books and I love it. I most definitely want to read more.

This was a FINE read! i couldn't bring myself to love it! the whole concept of a "he's a bear" was really weird, if it was a werewolf it would have been much better for me.. i guess. And the language used? oh my gawd! super awkward, LET'S Mate, you're my mate, i want to mate.... *Whaaaaat!*

3.5 stars. Bleu meets his Lola when he saves her after a crash. I say "his Lola" because in true Alexa Riley fashion, he decides instantly that she is his. The scenarios are outrageous, of course, and undeniably sexy. Bleu is this loner alpha-type shifter who, with no supposed experience, still manages to charm and sex up a virginal with no shyness Lola lol Ridiculous or not, the Alexa Riley duo write quite love scene and even though you brain tells you **scoff** "Yeah right, this is not realistic and so obsessive. Creepy." Your heart tells you, "Yeah, right girl. You wish a sexy man loved you like that. Don't front." LOL I had fun with this one. It was a quick read with just the right amount of heat. The conversations between the h and H read a little choppy for me in the beginning but it worked itself out.

You guys know what time it is, right? It's the best time of the month (besides pay day)! We finally get another AR goody to read, heck yes!!!
I was so excited to get my greedy hands on this one. I freaking adored it! And to be fair, those small teasers AR gives us just before the release day are always simply killing me. Because we all want to read the book then and not a day or two later! But don't worry AR, I forgive you. You just keep writing and supplying me with your addictive work and we'll remain besties for life. ;)
Anyway, anough of my rambling. Grayslake is as usual too freaking short. But it makes up for it by being so sweet and at the same time super hot! That's a combination you can never go wrong with in my opinion.
Maybe getting this wild hair about finding out if these shifter whispers were true wasn’t such a great idea, but I needed out of town, and for some reason this was the only thing that was driving me. Almost like there was an invisible string pulling me.
Meet Lola, the cute and at times very clumsy female who's in for the adventure of her life. After leaving her home and her (horribly selfish) mom, Lola decides it's finally time to move on and make something out of her life. But plans usually don't work out the way we plan them and lets just say that snow and glitchy road is no friend of hers. And after her car crash Lola is quickly losing hope of being found, that is until some big burly man saves her and brings her back to his home.
I like having my cabin out by itself where no one can bother me. I thought I liked being alone, but if the past few days have taught me anything, it’s that I don't want to be alone anymore.

She has no idea what I am, but she’s not going anywhere. She’ll find out soon enough, but she’s mine no matter what.
Gosh, I loved Bleu, he's perfect. In my eyes he could do no wrong and what I liked the most about him is that although he was so clueless when it came to women he still did everything right. He truly was an amazing mate and I wish I had someone like him in my life. The other thing I loved about him was how he constantly carried around Lola and that being a carpenter he definitely knew how to work his skillful hands.
“I’ve never touched a woman before, but I’ll practice a lot and be perfect for my mate,”
I'm happy those two found each other. They really fit and know how to make the other happy. I can't wait for the next AR book. Hope it comes soon. :)

My first foray into 'Alexa Riley does PNR' was a winner. My face the whole time I was reading –
There was also a little bit of this going on as well –

This book is super cute. I couldn't even stop myself from grinning.
Bleu is beyond words, he's very adorable I want to hug him closely and tell him it's okay to let loose with his mate around. Lola, a twenty-year-old virgin, gets stuck in the snow and her life is turned upside down when she's found by a bear shifter !

We have the crazy need because we're meant for each other.
I was made just to take care of her.

This book was kind of different because it was paranormal but not in a bad way.I liked Bleu and Lola's relationship they were sweet and couldn't keep their hands off of each other. The story was short so there wasn't a lot to tell except that I enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one from Alexa!
As I said before she's the one that I turn to when I need a short sweet smut!
Also I want to mention that I LOVE the HEA in Alexa's books.It's always the perfect HEA with the happy couple and a lot of babies...

The description will tell you everything you can expect of the story, but this how it is written is just sweet candy! The shifters stories are soo cute! I melt over the care, protectiveness and possessiveness of big, bossy Bleu. Animal male attention is sizzling and you can't tell me now that women don't like a little animal in their relations. It is so hot and adorable at once!
This is an excellent short story to read during which you will be smile, melt, swoon and curling. It is fun, it's sexy and, of course, too short!
I absolutely recommend all of Alexa Riley's Paranormal Romanses. Growling For Mine is spins from Celia Kyle’s Grayslake series, but this book can be read as a standalone. Alexa Riley always make a good paranormal romance. I mean with a pervy touch. I was surprised that I enjoyed this. Remind me of her Fairytale Shifter series, this story was good enough.
Lola was desperate and alone with her beat-up car. She's in Grayslake to prove some gossip about shifter. Then the accident happened and he found her. Bleu lives alone and when he found this woman, something inside him want to claimed her. Lola is gonna be his mate.
I found it a bit creepy when Bleu did something 'weird' with Lola's stuff.
Of course Bleu is already lust at first sight with Lola. She will be his perfect mate. One and only. I was surprised that Lola feel the same. Both Bleu and Lola are kinda awkward and innocent. But Lola always push and show her interest with Bleu. They're cute together. Lola has nothing to lose, though. Live with Bleu is the best thing happened with her.

Lovelies… don’t buy this book if you wish to live a life isn’t constantly filled with pain and disappointment. Since the first moment I met Bleu it has been impossibly to get him off my mind.
Ever since that day I have been carrying my kindle with me, displaying the cover of this book. I don’t read it. I simply stare lovingly at its pretty pages. All I want to know is where I can find myself a man like Bleu. A man who is only happy when I’m smiling. A man intent on only ever pleasing me. On protecting me. On carrying me around and giving me sponge baths in bed because bathrooms are dangerous. And then spending all his energy on giving me multiple orgasms and being the perfect mate. Do they even exist?
No, no they fucking don’t. I am forever cursed to share a life with a sub-par human man with a regular sized penis and a tendency to leave his smelly socks all over the bathroom which I am expected to wash myself in. There are no adorable as fuck men around who don’t understand why I want to walk by myself when he can easily carry me. Instead there are only annoying assholes who don’t understand why I can’t get up to make him a sandwich when I’m crippled by cramps.
This book was great. It was everything. All the good feels and happy little swoons you can pack into a few pages. A blissful escape into a magical little love story with a hero to set your ovaries alight and give you spontaneous orgasms. So this is me, resigning myself to a life of pain and disappointed because men like Bleu just don’t exist.
PS: Bleu was exceptional, but he’s still no Xavi who will forever hold my heart and my lusty loins.

All I want to know is where I can find myself a man like Bleu. A man who is only happy when I’m smiling. A man intent on only ever pleasing me. On protecting me. On carrying me around and giving me sponge baths in bed because bathrooms are dangerous. And then spending all his energy on giving me multiple orgasms and being the perfect mate. Do they even exist?
No, no they fucking don’t. I am forever cursed to share a life with a sub-par human man with a regular sized penis and a tendency to leave his smelly socks all over the bathroom which I am expected to wash myself in. There are no adorable as fuck men around who don’t understand why I want to walk by myself when he can easily carry me. Instead there are only annoying assholes who don’t understand why I can’t get up to make him a sandwich when I’m crippled by cramps.
This book was great. It was everything. All the good feels and happy little swoons you can pack into a few pages. A blissful escape into a magical little love story with a hero to set your ovaries alight and give you spontaneous orgasms. So this is me, resigning myself to a life of pain and disappointed because men like Bleu just don’t exist.
PS: Bleu was exceptional, but he’s still no Xavi who will forever hold my heart and my lusty loins.

I loved it the first time I read it and I still love it now! A feel-good short story with no drama.
It's about Bleu and Lola.
Her mom took off and spent the payment for their apartment. She's had enough and left to go to Gray Ridge for a shifter conquest. Her car crashed and he rescued her.
He's a carpenter and a bear shifter. He thought he's happy and contented being alone, away from the others but when he saw Lola, he knew having a mate is way better.
It has lovely epilogues.

So finally hit a gem with "shifter-smut" marathon.
So this is one of those where you either go "damn this is creepy, girl run!" or "this is really really sweet I'm gonna be sick".
After contemplating for a while, I went for sweet, because strong indication, that the cute bear probably would die if his mate rejected him, but he probably would have let her go. It has never crossed his mind. Cause he had a solid plan to make her never wanna leave him!
feed her, bathe her, ummm.............ummm............pleasure her? Yep! like I said, solid plan!
And the heroine is like, ah what the hell, what do I have back in the city? My mum is a queen B, this guy on the other hand, is worshiping the ground I'm walking on, probably gonna give himself a heart attack if I get a scratch, I'll just have to housetrain him so that he let's me go to the toilet by myself! Ah stuff it! YOLO!
so yes, apart for the creepy not leaving you even to pee by yourself, I actually loved this guy. Heroine, who's his mate was out for actually couple of days, as in senseless from probably hypothermia, so I'd probably be glued to my boyfriend if he was stupid enough to land himself in that situation for a while.
Also probably why I don't have a boyfriend!

Lola decided to go to Grayslake when her mom took off again and spent their rent leaving her without a home. So she's had enough and left. Her car crashed and Bleu saved her. He's a bear shifter and when he saved her, he wanted her to be his and to keep her.
It's a very short hot read with a very nice epilogue. Alexa Riley know how to write such wonderful stories that will satisfy your need for good books but at the same time make you crave for more. And yes, I want more books from them.
