Home. I used to think I knew what that was, but when I came here, I realized just how much I had been missing out on. My parents welcomed me into their lives with open arms and are trying to build that bond we missed out on for so many years. With that, though, comes a few challenges.
My three soul-ties try to be understanding of my need for freedom and independence outside of the coven, but after so many years living in the darkness, it’s hard for them to understand the struggles I go through as a creature who thrives out in the sunlight. The only saving grace is my best friend, Britt. She helps make sense of all the confusion in my life, and encourages me to strengthen my developing relationships.
But, not all is as it seems. Almost every time I leave the coven, I end up getting attacked. Are these random incidents, or is there an unknown threat out there targeting me for some reason? As each attack becomes more vicious than the last, tensions begin to rise between me and my guys. I’m left to wonder, is this really home if no one trusts me to take care of myself and live my life? Or have I just moved into a glorified prison to be coddled for the rest of my life? Only time will tell…
Book Two of The Blood Series continues where Book One left off. It does end on a pretty shocking cliffhanger so if that's not your thing, I would suggest waiting a few months for Book Three to be finished.
Hi Everyone. If you're reading this, it means you want to know more about me, which is good because I like to share. Let's see, I'm a 24 year old writer who started writing because the voices in my head told me to. I would have dream after dream that would play on repeat until I would write them out. And that's how most of my books are born. It all starts with a dream. um what else? I'm a big dog lover. I have a little shih Tzu called Mikey who likes to pop up on my Facebook page during giveaways. I have a beautiful little girl, Allison who has started her first year of school this year. She loves reading just as much as I do and seems to enjoy paranormal too. Feel free to Facebook stalk me to find out anything and everything about me
I loved book one in this series, but that’s nothing compared to book two! Book two is so exciting, so full of drama, action and danger that I nearly missed an appointment as I was so lost in the story. I love how Emeralds relationship with her soul ties deepens and grows, there are twists and turns I just did not see coming which held me transfixed. I absolutely loved this story and am eager for book three!!
I just wanted to love this series so badly but there is so much of a clusterfuck in there. I can't believe I'm complaining about too many hot guys. But hell, it's pretty unbelievable. And the plot is all over the place. And there are some grammar mistakes that need to be edited. Anyway, I would give this 3.5* and I am curious enough to give the third book a try. See where this is all going to.
Emerald is still alive or alive again and finally has a true home. She's no longer with the pack, shunned and abused. She has two parents who love her, accept her, and want to make up for the years they were separated. She's back with her best witchie friend, Britt. She has three soul ties, Talon, Dev, and Nik that she's falling for more each day. Sure there are challenges; grandparents who seem to despise her, forgetting to eat and trying not to kill Talon but Em and her beast have never been happier. Except, each time she leaves the coven, she gets attacked. Is this an unfortunate coincidence or is someone trying to kill her? Again.
Silver Blood picks up where book one left off. It is more. More Em, more Em and Britt, more Em and her soul-ties, more Em and her family, more Em and a possible mate. More action, more suspense, more sexual tension, and more danger. More enemies, more allies. More heartbreak, more love. More twists and turns. More story. Just more. It's so good! It's definitely a 'read late into the night' kind of book. I devoured it. It is absorbing, entertaining, surprising.
Then there's the ending. Now anyone who reads Tamara White's books knows she loves a good cliffhanger. To be honest, so do I. I love that moment that leaves you speechless (possibly screaming) and stunned. Cliffhanger doesn't begin to describe the ending of this book. It's not nearly strong enough. A new word needs to be invented. Verona Rupes is a huge cliff located on Uranus's moon. It's the tallest cliff in the solar system and if you jumped off it, you'd fall for twelve minutes...I'm thinking this is a veronalhanger. It left me shattered. If you do not like to be left hanging by a thread in the WORST possible way, wait until the next book is released before reading this one. Although I am afraid it will only get worse in book 3. Tamara has a cruel streak. Part of her appeal! Wow, I need more!
I would rate this installment to the series at about 3 to 3.5 stars. My reasoning is that the MC was annoyingly childish in her behavior and attitude. I really didn't care for her much at all in this book. The dialogue between her and the guys portrayed as if they were still hormonal teenagers. There wasn't dept to their interactions and reasoning. It was really hard for me to finish the book. I actually skimmed through chapters in the middle section just to get pass it. On a positive note, the ending was pretty good. Once the new character Linc came on board, things started to pick up. The storyline was good, don't get me wrong. As an avid reader, I believe there should be more depth to the main characters, their interactions and their dialogue should match their age at least. Let's be real here...The soul -ties are a hundred years old or more but talk and reason like raging teens. I expected more. Do I want to see what happens next with the cliffhanger the author left us? Of course I do. I may skim through more chapters, depending on the author's build of the characters but I do want to see what she comes up with next.
We finally get to see more from Emerald! And boy do we get some crazy stuff.
This book is full of drama, action, and dangerous situations.
We get to see how Emerald's relationship grow with her soul ties. But *spoiler alert* because of her being a hybrid, she also has another mate. A wolf this time, named Lincoln.
There is just so much going on in this book. You can't help but seem to devour the entire thing. Make sure you have nothing planned for the day when you start this one because you will soon forget all your responsibilities.
It has come to my attention that most of the reverse harem authors like to leave their books on a cliffhanger. This one is no different. However, the ending on this story was like a shot straight to the heart. You are left gasping, not understanding how the story could just end there.
The wait was worth it. If you haven't started this series, I recommend starting now. It is a fabulous series and I can't wait to see what book three will bring.
Em, like the badass she is is coming into her powers she’s a hybrid and grew up as a wolf so now she gets to feed her vampiric side. Great piece of writing from Tamara leaving me wanting more. This paranormal RH features, shifters, witches and vampires. It tackles prejudices between the races. Unfortunately for Em because she is a hybrid she is the spotlight for these old prejudices but this could cost her her life or those of her soul ties. So much action and adventure throughout the book I just couldn’t put it down. There are many revelations that had me gasping and enough intrigue to keep me guessing to the end. Yes there is a cliffhanger so if your not into them I suggest you wait until the series is completed and read them back to back!
I throughly enjoyed book one in this series and book 2 was the same but with more, more to love and more to excite! I loved how I really got to know more about Em in this book and her with her family and her soul ties! And those moments of connection with her soul ties is fantastic!! This book just keeps going and going and keeps the reader absolutely invested in the characters as they go from one situation to the next. And then let’s mention that ending..it left me a little bit devastated and yelling for book 3!! This is s highly recommended series that is full of action, suspense, passion and heartache.
OMG Tamara White has managed to completely surpass my expectations of this book.
We pick up the story pretty close to where the last one left off. Emerald and her soul ties are working on their relationships and trying to help her find her place in the coven. Unfortunately for Em deceptions seems to come at every turn.
Em will be face with questions of who she can trust, and the ending leaves you with you heart torn out and bleeding.
Every time I read a book by this author, I am in awe of her ability to develop and evolve a character successfully. I enjoyed this book so much I read it cover to cover, unable to stop once I started it. I am waiting now on the edge of my seat for the next book so I can see what happens. Glad to see the book was double the size of the first one, and was really happy with the way the characters are always grabbing your attention. Can't wait for book 3!
amazing continuation worth the wait em is growing her relationship with her guys they begin to explore dating while she learns her role as a princess and how to be a protector on the patrols. At the same time she still has her brother going after her and trying to kill her and continues to call her an abomination. It's crazy to see how many moles in traitors there are around her, will warn you there is a huge cliffhanger truly cannot wait for book 3 to finally get some more answers on Em guys, her wolf and Brit men.
HOLY CRAP!!! Total book hangover. OMG! This book was full of twists and turns and so many things happened that I wouldn’t have expected and didn’t see coming. It was a roller coaster of a book. I was taken on an adventure and I cannot believe how it ended!!!! It definitely left me desperate for the next book - waiting for it is going to be torture! If you liked False Blood, you’ll love Silver Blood. It was well written, full of action, steam, romance, friendship, and heartache. I adore the characters in this book and can’t wait for more!
Emerald is a vampire princess with a soul tie with three vampire men. Unfortunately, her being a hybrid has drawn the attention of those who believe she shouldn't exist and throughout the book try to kill her. Emerald barely has time to connect with her men and spend time with her bestie, Britt. Plus she has to learn about vampire history amid all this drama. Poor girl barely eats! Since she is a hybrid, it seems like she also gets a wolf mate but she's fighting not to succumb to Lincoln since she is loyal to her soul ties. Great book!
So I was really enjoying this book, learning more about the guys (I licked Nik so he’s mine now), meeting Emerald’s other potential mates and having a great time with all the Britt sessions then BAM! That ending! What the hell! Way to make me sit up, tear my heart out and leave me gasping for some sort of resolution while knowing I have to wait to find out more! That cliffhanger. I love and hate the author all at once.
Basically, read this book and enjoy the emotional turmoil of a ride. You won’t regret it
Emerald and her soul-ties are trying to find out who is behind the attacks on her. So many emotions throughout this book. I don't want to say anything to summarize because anything I write would be a spoiler. So many bi and emotional moments, some questions answered and there were somethings that threw you for a loop too. Amazing writing, this book is awesome and I absolutely can not wait for book 3 to find out what happens with Emerald, her soul-ties and well others lol!
Emerald has recovered from the mishaps of the last book, but her soul-ties are having a little more trouble. This book brought out the stubborn kick butt heroine who doesn't need anyone to protect her- honestly my favourite character type. It was a little slow to begin with, mostly dealing with her relationship as opposed to outside influence, but it kicked into high action at the end. I loved the twists and new developments, and can't wait to see where it goes.
Lots of action and still a whole lot of mystery. I think for every answer we get, three more questions pop up! It definitely kept me invested the whole way through and made me a little crazy with all of the Em and Talon interruptions. I’m just hoping it’s as explosive as all the sexual tension is leading up to! Linc is an interesting addition that I can’t wait to learn more about along with all of Em’s abilities! Can’t wait for book 3!
Emerald seems to be evolving more each day. She is becoming very powerful. Her involvement deepens with her soul-ties. The problem, she keeps getting attacked every time she leaves the coven. Does she have another mate? Or more soul-ties? We find out who is behind the attacks in this book. In true Tamara White style, we are left with a cliffhanger and the bloodlust for more!
I seriously can't wait to see how many men she ends up with! This book has me hanging on and I need more! I seriously can't believe the end and am freaking the hell out!!!! I need to know what happens next!?!?!? Omg I think I'm gonna cry!!! Book #3 needs to hurry like ASAP!
OHMYGOD. I need book three STAT! Emerald is back to her ass-kicking ways and not letting anyone bring her down. I’m intrigued by the idea of more mates — though the twist with the witches may take me getting a little used to. Cliffhanger is killing me but I def watching for the next book. Let’s up the hotness factor 😍
This book was full of action and ends with a cliff hanger. I can't wait for the next book in this series as well as the next book in Tamara whites her mates series. 100% recommend any book wrote by Tamara, they keep you gripped and the story never slows down. Amazing 6/5 stars
Great follow up, found it very hard to put down and read it with in a day! Emerald finds out more of her heritage and her connections to people. Left on a cliff hanger, so really looking forward to the next book.
I have no idea how this series continues to get better and better. I find myself liking every part of this book. It was an emotional rollercoaster throughout. I am in a bit of a daze going over things in my mind to go along with that ending though!!!
I don't often say that book 2 is better than 1 but I am going to with Tamara White's Blood Series. I already loved ( and hated a few) of her characters but this book was, simply put, better than the last. I can't wait to see where these characters take her next!
O come on!! Give me more! This was awesome story but it totally didn’t not quench my want more. I mean seriously this story is awesome and I only got a sliver of information.
I love this series! I liked book 1 but this second book had me blown away especially the cliffhanger! I hope I don’t have to wait long for the rest of this story.
The author still needs to work on her writing a bit. It comes across as immature, so the characters feel immature. Overall though, this is a very good story and I will be continuing it.
Wow this story was enthralling and entertaining. I loved how Emerald is learning more about herself and I love that she has such a big heart. I couldn't put this book down it was fantastic. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
I devoured this book, not putting it down until it was finished. I love this world the author has built and the characters she’s developed, and I’m so anxious for more.
