The Arotas Series Complete Boxed Set Roseline Enescue didn't ask to become an Immortal, to have all of the guests at her wedding slaughtered, or be forced into marriage with a man whose lust for blood would one day ignite the vampire legend. Willing to risk everything for a chance at a normal life, Roseline escapes to America. Terrified her husband Vladimir will find her, Roseline enrolls as a senior in Chicago's elite Rosewood Prep school. Mingling with humans is the last place he would look for her. But her transition into the human world isn't easy. Mortal men flock after her while cutthroat girls plot her demise. Yet Roseline remains relatively unfazed by the petty hysteria until she falters into the arms of Gabriel Marston, reluctant MVP quarterback, unwilling ladies man, and sensitive artist in hiding. Troubled by the bond that pulls her towards the mortal boy, Roseline tries to ignore him, but Gabriel is persistent. As their lives entwine, Roseline begins to realize that Gabriel is much more than he appears. His ability to toss a football the entire length of the field and grind concrete into dust pales in comparison to the glowing blue cross tattoo that mysteriously appears on his forearms. Despite the forbidden bond between them, Roseline can't help wondering what Gabriel is: He's not human. He's not Immortal. So just what is he? Includes: Forbidden, Reckoning, Redemption and Evermore

As much as I enjoy vampire books I found this one hard to get into. I enjoyed the parts more when it was just teen drama. Found it hard to connect at all with the characters. Got half way through, didn't really want to keep reading but I felt I had already invested so much time in trying to read it that I would commit to finish. Hoping the novella can save the book but after the trilogy I wouldn't put it in my favorite book list.
These books were right up my supernatural alley! I really enjoyed the new twist on traditional vampire lore. I could not put these books down and read one right after the other. The story escalates and hits new levels of excitement in each book.
When I first picked up Forbidden I was seriously wondering what I had gotten myself into... Mid book I was yawning and waiting for the cheesy teen stuff to turn into something...anything. And then the action started and it went from slow to interesting fast. I read the entire series in 4 days at that point. I would say the third book got a bit gory/graphic. Probably fine for my older teen boy (used to video games etc.)not so much for my 12 year old girl...just figured some moms might be like me and read the books before handing them over alot of the time ;-)
Picking this book up again. Let's see where this goes..
Ok - I've finished all 3 and I must say it was better this time around. I found that the story is slow to develop and the characters take some time to get to know. It did loose a star for some info dumping moments but otherwise a good read. The ending was a bit of a shock for a trilogy - but redeemed due to the novella.
I loved the story from beginning to end. I laughed, I cried and I stayed on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put these books down even with many obvious editing errors ("her" instead of "he", etc.) which sometimes had me confused. But, I guess that's why they were 99 cents. I recommend this box set, if you don't mind the errors for such a low price I'd.
I'm not big on the whole vampire thing but I really enjoyed these books! I read these on my phone and I think I finished all of them in two weeks. These books were filled with sarcastic humor and are interesting to read!
FAVE FAVE FAVE LOVE JUST AS MUCH AS THE VAMPIRE JOURNALS. AN AMAZING ADVENTURE ILL NEVER FORGET DEFINITELY A MUCH READ. I BOUGHT THE TRILOGY AND HALF ENDING FOURTH BOOK EVERMORE. DEFINITELY WISH THEY MADE A MOVIE I DO NOT WANT THIS SERIES TO END BUT ALL GOOD THINGS MUST.
