I found this book quite interesting, and I think that it has some good advice on remaining peaceful and decreasing stress. I particularly appreciated the Starbucks analogy. However, I didn't quite understand what zazen was, and I found that part of the audiobook a bit confusing.
Mindfulness Buddhism aims to be a practical 'beginner's guide' to mindful meditation, to reduce stress and anxiety and increase the sense of inner peace.
It definitely helps to unite the 'westernised' version of mindfulness practice with its Buddhist roots, and it made a nice change to consider meditative practice in a more Zen light.
I liked the focus on Buddhist ideals and understanding their value when appreciated alongside popularised , disseminated mindfulness techniques. Many mindfulness books and courses steer clear of core Buddhist practices and don't really discuss things like the importance of virtuous emotions.
Narrator Sarah DeMetz initially sounds a bit like an AI narration tool or computerised accessibility software when reading the titles, and I was concerned that the book would be difficult to listen to. Fortunately, this sense does not last beyond the titles and her voice becomes less robotic and more characterful as time goes on. The soft, friendly, new-agey feel to her narration is familiar to anyone who uses guided meditation apps or videos, and is passive enough to be restful and neutral.
This would be a great book for people who are new to mindfulness, meditation, and Buddhism. The techniques are easy for beginners to implement and are not strict or judgemental, despite advocating dedication. If you are just beginning to explore mindfulness in pursuit of calming your mind, then this book would be a helpful introduction to the techniques and practices.
My greatest bugbear with this book came from some of the grammatical choices. Many were unusual and really pulled me out of the book. For example: "understand that by choosing and listening this audiobook" or "to help you practice this mental discipline as early as now" and (somewhat ironically) "this audiobook implores that you subject its words under critical analysis" aren't correct, and I struggled to keep a clear, calm, relaxed mindful state while listening as these moments tickled my brain and re-focused my attention outward. I think, perhaps, that the author's first language is not English, or that the book has been translated from another language without the benefit of a native British English or American English editor.
Once I got used to the linguistic quirks they were less bothersome, but it did detract from my listening experience.

This had a lot of good information on meditating and being mindful and zen. I thought it was a great beginners guide with just the right amount of information without it being overwhelming. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the narrator, she was just ok. I would definitely recommend this book as a great opportunity to start.
