I Think Therefore I Play
"Per me il gruppo conta tantissimo, ma se mi dimenticassi di me stesso toglierei forza proprio ai miei compagni: tanti singoli fanno una squadra, tanti sogni fanno un trionfo." Un fuoriclasse. Un super campione iper titolato. I complimenti iperbolici non sono mai sprecati se riferiti ad Andrea Pirlo, fantasista della Juventus e della Nazionale, ex Milan - con cui ha vinto e rivinto tutto il possibile - ed ex Inter. Ciò che colpisce di lui, oltre al geniale estro, è la formidabile logica fuori e dentro il campo. Creatività e raziocinio abitano in egual misura il suo corpo mettendo splendidamente in connessione testa e piedi. Penso quindi gioco è la conferma della perfetta efficienza della macchina Pirlo. Il regista bianconero usa i piedi per calciare, la testa per pensare e la lingua per dire ciò che sente, senza tatticismo o giri di parole. Fra le tante prese di posizione scomode contenute in questo libro, Pirlo è categorico sui colleghi calciatori coinvolti nelle scommesse, suggerisce provvedimenti drastici per combattere la violenza negli stadi e il crescente razzismo che colpisce gli atleti di pelle nera. Non è certo tenero nei confronti dei dirigenti che hanno provato a rottamarlo, mentre ha qualche rimpianto verso quegli addetti ai lavori (Barcellona, Real Madrid, Chelsea) che gli hanno fatto una corte spietata, ma mai nel momento giusto. Pirlo racconta anche il suo lato spiritoso che si esprime negli scherzi da spogliatoio. Negli anni rossoneri il suo bersaglio migliore è stato Rino Ringhio Gattuso, oggi la voglia di divertirsi gli fa trovare continuamente nuove prede, nella Juve e in Nazionale. Per la prima volta Pirlo, "il calciatore di tutti" - come lo definisce il mister Cesare Prandelli - svela qual è l'intelligenza che guida i piedi più raffinati del calcio europeo.

Football autobiographies are dime a dozen these days and rarely interesting especially by players still playing their trade. They rarely have anything interesting to say and most are just a way of capitalising on the popularity of the player at the time.
Andrea Pirlo is one of the few players who is an exception to this trend. He comes across as a genuinely intelligent player, both on and off the pitch, and has rejuvenated a career which looked to be over during his last year at Milan.
So, I was very interested to read his autobiography. I was a bit disappointed to find out that it wasn't your typical autobiography. Instead its Pirlo talking about and reflecting on different things and events, almost like sitting in front of a fire place with a cigar in his mouth and jumping from one topic to another. And i am glad to say most of it is absolutely hilarious. I literally laughed out loud in some places especially the Gattuso chronicles and the pre-match habits of Filippo Inzaghi. He is also very frank about his time at Milan and his account of the aftermath of Istanbul 2005 is just brilliant.
The book is full of prose and metaphors and At times, its difficult to understand what he is trying to say but he gets away with it. Because that's just the type of man he is. You are still left in awe and full of admiration for the man.
Its a short book and ended quite abruptly. i was not ready to put it down yet. Its a great book for what it is. I don't know if i should rate this book based on what it is or what it could have been. They should release a series of books with Pirlo just pondering over the great mysteries of life and giving his opinion on different matters. i would be the first one in line to buy it.

Ο Αντρέα Πίρλο ανακοίνωσε πρόσφατα οτι στο τέλος της χρονιάς κρεμάει οριστικά τα παπούτσια του και μέσα στα άρθρα και τα αφιερώματα που γράφτηκαν γι 'αυτόν ,ανακάλυψα οτι πριν μερικά χρόνια κυκλοφόρησε ένα αυτοβιογραφικό βιβλίο του.
Δεν είναι μια συνηθισμένη αυτοβιογραφία και δεν μιλάει ιδιαίτερα για την προσωπική του ζωή.Είναι σαν να τον έχεις δίπλα σου και να σου μιλάει για την καριέρα του ,για τη μπάλα,για τις εμπειρίες και τις απόψεις του για τον αθλητισμό και για όσα γίνονται στα αποδυτήρια.
Το μεγάλο ατού του βιβλίου,για μένα ,είναι το απίστευτο χιούμορ του.Όλα όσα αφηγείται έχουν ενδιαφέρον ,αλλά ο τρόπος που τα λέει σε κάνουν να χαμογελάς ή και να ξεκαρδίζεσαι.Εγώ τουλάχιστον γέλασα πάρα πολύ με τις φάρσες στον Τζενάρο Γκατούζο(σαν να τον έβλεπα μπροστά μου να τους έχει πάρει στο κυνήγι ήτανε),με τις παραξενιές και τις προλήψεις ποδοσφαιριστών και προπονητών,και ακομα γελάω με το...γούρι του Ινζάγκι.
Ένα απολαυστικό βιβλίο απο έναν απολαυστικό ποδοσφαιριστή.

"If I look in the mirror when I get up, or before going to bed at night, I see a man of average ugliness...But I also see a man who's completely happy with the figure staring back at him. Who's completely proud of every single second of his past."
And so, in 150 pages as entertaining as his trademark free-kicks, we're presented a sample of that past. Endlessly quotable and consistent in its ability to raise a smile, the book confirms a lot about what the world thinks of Andrea Pirlo: he oozes an intelligence, insight and class that often seems to be lacking in the world of modern football. As expected, the bulk of the book comprises of recollections of his club and international career, as well as his relationships and antics with fellow pros (Gennaro Gattuso's cameo is a particular highlight). It also allows room for Pirlo's thoughts on Italian football and the state of game in general to pervade where post-match interviews would otherwise not, and other aspects of his outlook - his humility and his attitude towards racism are especially laudable - are a further bonus to those looking to learn more about 'L'architetto'.
However, as autobiographies go, it's really nothing special. It was a remarkably quick read and while Alessandro Alciato has done a good job of getting Pirlo's personality and recent history across, the book offers little in the way of telling us his life story, omitting too many of the seconds of Pirlo's past of which he is supposedly so proud. Instead, we're primarily dealing with Andrea Pirlo the footballer, rather than Andrea Pirlo the person, which might just be how he wanted it to be written; he does come across as a little bit wary of journalists and his description of the gossipy nature of the Italian media during the 2006 World Cup gives some explanation as to why. Overall though, it actually reads more like a series of interviews, and there's no real background information about Pirlo's childhood or development as a person, saving for a brief chapter about his early club days, or a passage in which he addresses his supposed Sinti background.
Because of that, a proper structure to the way in which the information is presented is glaringly absent; instead of unfolding in a chronological order or topic-by-topic, the book just jumps around with no real sense of overall purpose. When we get to the final twentieth chapter, the book simply concludes with a half-baked explanation about how there might be - suggesting that there will be - a twenty-first chapter and more in the future; for some reason, because 21 is the number Pirlo wears, it is supposedly a fitting way of finishing his story at twenty chapters. In that sense, Alciato's presence was a little overbearing at times, and while his style of writing is entertaining and well-crafted, it comes across that he uses too much poetic licence in presenting what is really Pirlo's history, at times utilising metaphors and images that it's difficult to imagine anybody using in a real conversation, no matter how sophisticated they seem.
Qualms about the editing aside, it's an enjoyable book that's definitely worth the read, particularly for those with an interest in the Italian game and the thoughts of one if its more intelligent footballers. Just don't expect a rags-to-riches tale, or hope to find out what Pirlo gets up to in his spare time.

اللاعب الهادئ (كما يصفه المدربون ويلحظه المشاهدون)، لديه الكثير ليبوح به بأسلوبه الفكاهي عن صخب كرة القدم، تجاربه فيها، ومواقفه في مختلف مراحل مسيرته الكروية. ينقلنا بيرلو لمحطات من حياته بعشوائية يتقبلها عشاق الساحرة المستديرة، حول بدايته مع نادي بريشيا وحسد أقرانه هناك وغيرة آبائهم، خروجه المؤسف من ميلان، ذكرياته الطريفة مع زملائه، المدربين الذين عمل معهم، بعض أفكاره حول الكرة، والكثير مما يعطي لمحة عن مهنة احتراف كرة القدم. وفقط كرة القدم، هذه هي نقمتي على الكتاب. لم يتعرض بيرلو إلى حياته كشخص بعيدًا عن مسيرته المهنية إطلاقًا.
في المجمل، سيرة مهنية جميلة وممتعة لمحبي كرة القدم، واللاعب خصوصًا، لكن لا أظن أنها ستكون كذلك لغيرهم.
الترجمة سيئة للأسف وبها عدة أخطاء مربكة. ومن الواضح أن الكتاب لم يُراجع قبل نشره. لا أعذر المترجم كمال باطح ولا دار ملهمون، لكني ممتن لوجود ترجمة للكتاب.
"الأطفال الذين لعبت معهم في صفوف الشباب لفريق بريشيا لم يكونوا سيئين أبدًا، لكن كانت عندهم مشكلة عويصة. من أجل تحقيق حلمك يجب عليك الكفاح... كي يصبح حقيقة على أرض الواقع، لكنهم كانوا عكس هذا تمامًا. وأصبحت أحلامهم عبئًا ثقيلًا لا يطيقون حمله."

My all time favorite player! And what an unusual autobiography, it has a very smart sensibility to it, you can almost feel like you're sitting at the terrasse of an Italian Café and Andrea is confiding in you about his football journey. What a genius this guy is, even in the way he delivers his thoughts on paper.

I'm so excited about this book as I loved the game of Pirlo from Juventus to AC Milan and international appearances had been concerned.
Since I'd learned the football (at the age of 11) I never turned to any another game, never found anything much enticing than football.
Wonderful memoir !

অনেকটা ফুটবল ও কিছুটা জীবন দর্শন নিয়ে গল্পোচ্ছলে লেখা এই অসাধারণ বইয়ের রেটিং ৩.৮৩ হয় কী করে? আমার দেখা অন্য যেকোনো ফুটবলারের চেয়ে পিরলোর অন অ্যান্ড অফ দ্য ফিল্ড দর্শন অনেক বেশি শক্তিশালী, অনেক বেশি গভীর। ইতালিয়ান ও বৈশ্বিক ফুটবল সংস্কৃতি, টিমমেটদের বিচিত্র স্বভাব-চরিত্র, নিজের জীবনের টুকরো টুকরো ঘটনার মিশেলে লেখা হয়েছে বইটা। শুরু থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত মনে হয়েছে প্রজ্ঞাবান অথচ রসিক স্বভাবের কোনো চিন্তাবিদের জীবনের গল্প শুনছি, বিশ্বকাপ জয়ী কোনো ফুটবলারের না। '
আমি প্রথমে চিন্তা করি, তারপর খেলি'- এরচেয়ে ভাল নাম দেয়া সম্ভব ছিল না আন্দ্রেয়া পিরলোর আত্মজীবনীর। ব্যক্তিগত জীবন ও ফুটবল ক্যারিয়ার- উভয় জায়গাতেই তার চিন্তাশক্তির পূর্ণাঙ্গ বহিঃপ্রকাশ ঘটেছে মাত্র ১৪৩ পৃষ্ঠাতে। এর কম হলেও অসম্পূর্ণ লাগতো, এর বেশি হলেও বাহুল্যতা প্রকট হতো। ভেবেচিন্তে তারপর লেখা বই বলে কথা...

يتحدث الكتاب عن اللاعب الأيطالي الكبير أندريا بيرلو - ۳۸ عاماً لاعب خط الوسط في فريق يوفنتوس الأيطالي و المنتخب الأيطالي حول بعض حياتة الكروية التي بدأها منذ نادي بريشيا و عن الفرق الكروية الذي لعبها وكذالك عن منتخبة الوطني الأيطالي و عن مشاركاتة في البطولات القارية و العالمية مثل كأس العالم عام 2006 التي فاز بها منتخب أيطاليا على منتخب فرنسا و كأس الأمم الأوروبية ، وذكريات حادثة "الكالتشيوبولي" ، وشعورة بعد موقعة إسطنبول من عام 2005 "نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا - التشامبيونزليغ وكان حينها ميلان فريق بيرلو متقدم 3 - 0 على ليفربول لاكن الأخير قام بتعديل النتيجة في غضون سبع دقائق وفاز ليفربول بالكأس" التي تصف بأكثر من الكارثة والكابوس ، وعن رغبتة لإنتقالة لريال مدريد الأسباني في تلك الفترة بعد إنتهاء المونديال الكروي ، وأيضاً عن بعض حياتة الشخصية وإدمانة للعب البلاستيشن وعن بعض اصدقائة ورقمة المفضل وهو رقم "۲۱" ، كنت أعلم أن لدى بيرلو بعض الأفكار "الجهنمية" وليست "الجنونية" لكن ليس إلى هذا الحد ، عموماً الكتاب يقع في واحد وعشرون فصلاً عشرون منها مكتوب والفصل الأخير صفحة بيضاً لكتابة تجاربة المستقبلية وكذالك الكتاب يحتوي على عدة صور له في بعض الصفحات من الكتاب ، كنت أريد من الكتاب أن لا ينتهي بسرعة وأريد أن أعرف أكثر عن بعض حياة هذا اللاعب الخيالي .

هو أحلى هدايا السنة كلها، كان تجربة لطيفة لأني برغم حبي لكرة القدم إلا إني مش بتتبع أخبار الدوري الإيطالي ومش بعرف حتى أسماء لاعبيه، فكان الكتاب فرصة جيدة لمعرفة التفاصيل دي.
بيرلو مش بيحكي هنا مسيرته الكروية بس، ده بيشرح أجواء اللعب والانتقالات والمراهنات وحتى رأيه في شغب الملاعب وتأمين الفرق. كمان اتكلم بصراحة عن رأيه في كذا مدير فني تعامل معاه، وعلاقته مع باقي اللاعبين سواء في الأندية أو في المنتخب. كل ده مدعم بصور، صحيح أن تنسيقها فاشل لكن الفكرة كانت جيدة.
يعيب الكتاب أن السرد كان ملخبط بمعنى أنه مش بترتيب زمني مثلا أو عنوان أو موضوع محدد لكل فصل. هو دردشة.
الترجمة سيئة سيئة سيئة لأبعد الحدود وأخطاء نحوية وإملائية بالعبيط للأسف.
الإخراج الفني للكتاب مش أفضل حاجة لأنه وضع الصور كلها ورا بعضها في منتصف الكتاب وتحتها تعليق، منها صور كان لسة محتواها هيظهر في الفصول التالية. كان الأفضل لو كل فصل أو فقرة ترفق بالصورة الخاصة بيها. ده تسبب في انخفاض التقييم للأسف.
لكن طبعا اي حاجة فيها سيرة كرة قدم بتعلي عندي الدوبامين جدا ودار النشر والمترجم معرفوش يعكننوا عليَّ💃🏻😌

This is the Story of a silent leader, Pirlo, whose fixed expression never let any turmoil or excitement change his leadership and peace on the pitch. I may never forget his tears on his last professional performance in Juventus vs Barcelona in the champions league final, 2014.
Pirlo is my all time favorite player who played a big part of his career in AC Milan, the team I could never get to like at any point.

حلم كل أطفال إيطاليا، ورجالها والنساء. هكذا كانت نساء بريشيا تهمس حسدا في أذن السيدة ليديا " مثل من سيكون أندريا؟ مارادونا؟!" وهو كان في داخله يقول - حين يسمعهم - " مارادونا! اللعنة ..
أن تقارن وأنت في سن الرابعة عشر بأعظم لاعب كرة قدم في التاريخ - حسب تصنيف غالبية الإيطاليين - وأن تلعب مباريات ضد أحد عشر لاعبا خصما وعشرة لاعبين يلبسون نفس قميصك، وضد نفسك، وتفوز، فأنت " بيرلو " الذي لا أحد يشبهه، فدولي لن تكون هي نفسها المستنسخة.
ليس سهلا أبدا كونك لاعب كرة قدم، وتكون قاب (جرة قلم) أو أدنى من ريال مدريد أو أن يطرق بابك "برشلونة بيب"، لكنك تفضل، أو تجبر على البقاء في منزلك، وتحقق أبطال أوروبا، وحسرة فقدان حلم الطفولة في اللعب في الكلاسيكو الشهير.
شيء من بيرلو الغامض تقرأه في سطور هذا الكتاب، نهائي كأس العالم، إدمان البلاي ستيشن، نيستا، وأقلام غالياني، وطرائف بيرلسكوني، ووالده الذي يهرب من "مديح" جمهور بريشيا لابنه الأفضل في فريق الناشئين، الذي حصل على ركلة على كاحله لمراوغته لاعبا في الثلاثين من العمر وهو في السن الخامسة عشر.
يبدو أنه يحاول أن يكون فيلسوفا في الحياة كما هو فيلسوف حقا في كرة القدم، يقدم حلولا لمشاكل عديدة تتعلق بكرة القدم وبالحياة بالمجمل، مشاكل الجمهور ومشاكل الحكام، والعنصرية، ومشكلة "أليساندرو ماتري" والمرض وغيرها.
ضحكت كثيرا مع مواقفه الكوميديا مع "جينارو غاتوز" العنيف داخل الملعب وخارجه، فمرة قد أقدم على طعن بيرلو بالشوكة!!، وكذلك مع مواقفه اللطيفة مع ماتري.
هناك المدربين، أفضلهم ليبي وكونتي، وكثير من خصوم المباريات، وقصة الرقم 21 الملتصق دائما بظهره، وحكاية نادي السد القطري المثيرة، والمضحكة أيضا.
مباريات وجولات ولقاءات ومفاوضات، وأهداف، وأسرار ربما تكشف للتو، خصوصا تلك المتعلقة بمهارته الدقيقة في تسديد الركلات الحرة بنجاح دائما، ومن أين تعلمها؟ وممن؟
لا أدري إن كان المترجم كان دقيقا في ترجمته أم لا، إذ يبدو أن كاتب النص أراد بطريقة ما أن تكون هذه المذكرات المختصرة من حياة أندريا بيرلو كقصة خيالية، أجاد في أوقات قليلة.
الكتاب يتكون من واحد وعشرين فصلا، عشرون منها مكتوب والأخير بقي صفحات بيضاء فقط مليئة بالعواطف التي لم تكتب بعد.

This was a strange one. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It was like a collection of short stories from his career tossed around without any order - almost like listening to a drunk man telling whatever crosses his mind. There is a talk about his younger days, then to World Cup win, then back to somewhere in a middle - few circles of that.
With all that talk about Italian national team and pride playing for them - think that targeted audience is Italian people, which I'm not. But it had few good stories/points of view that were quite enjoyable.

اذا ، ها هو بيرلو ، ليس رشيقا بلعب الكرة وحسب إنما ايضا في إمساك القلم !
اندريا بيرلو الذي لا يختلف اثنان على موهبته وبراعته يدون مقتطفات من مذكراته في كتابه هذا ( انا افكر اذا العب ) ..
تحدث كثيرا حول الميلان ، غالياني ، رفيقه الازلي نيستا ورفيقه المشاكس غاتوزو ، ذكريات الكالشيو بولي وكأس العالم بالاضافة الى بداياته وتدرجه في جميع المراحل ..
في الواقع يملك بيرلو اسلوبا جميلا وطريفا في ان لتبقى مستمرا بالقراءه خصوصا ان كنت مهتما بكرة القدم الايطاليه تحديدا .. بعض الاسرار ، التفاصيل الصغيره المهمه التي تغيب عن المتابع
وبالطبع فان شهادتي به مجروحه :D

First of all, he was a great footballer and I think he will be a great choach. But I dont love this Memuar. Not because it was a nasty book. Just I hadn't this feeling that Pirlo was a legend for any of this clubs. He loved Inter, Juventus, Milan, Guardiola, Ancellotti, Conte(for a good reason), Capello, Ferguson and the others. Who payed, Pirlo would go there. That was.. not my style. I am a hugh Chelsea-fan and i would be proud if Pirlo side of Lampard show them all what is meaning the Miracle, but for f.ck's sake. Thank to God of Money he didn't.

The book is more focused on his opinions about football problems (doping, referees and video ref, etc) and the most influential people in his career. Pirlo also talked about some important moments, like WC2006 final, his panenka against Joe Hart... He never talked about techniques except the chapter about his Maledetta. It's a pity because I think he has too many things to say about that.
People think about football players as some stupid ignorant guys. This book could change their perception.

هیچوقت فکرش رو نمیکردم پیرلو چنین شخصیت عجیب و سادهای داشته باشه. از وقتی در میلان بازی میکرد عاشق فوتبالش بودم. تا اینکه بالاخره با یک قرارداد کمهزینه وارد تورین شد و لباس یوونتوس را پوشید. رویای همبازی شدن دلپیرو و بوفون و مارکیزیو و پیرلو در یک تیم فراتر از حد تصور و حتی تخیل من بود. ولی امکانپذیر شد. آنها قهرمانی یوونتوس در ایتالیا بعد از برگشت از سری ب را رقم زدند. حالا خواندن تمام آن خاطرات از زبان این مرد دوست داشتنی هیجان انگیزه.
یکی از بهترین بازیکنهای فوتبال ایتالیا بیشک آندرهآ پیرلو بوده و هست. کسی که فوتبالش رو ۲۵ سال پیش زیر نظر میرچا لوچسکو تو تیم برشا ایتالیا شروع کرد. درخشش باعث شد به میلان پرستاره بره و دوبار فاتح لیگ قهرمانان اروپا بشه. همون سالها با تیم ملی ایتالیا قهرمان جام جهانی ۲۰۰۶ شد و در انتهای فوتبالش، تصمیم گرفت با خودکاری که گالیانی و برلوسکونی -مالک و مدیر تیم آث میلان- به او داده بودن، قرارداد یوونتوس، رقیب قدیمی تیمهای ایتالیا رو امضا کنه و تبدیل به رجیستای جدید بیانکونری بشه. بعد از تموم شدن فوتبالش تصمیم گرفت خمرههای شرابسازی خودش رو به راه و یکی از باکیفیتترین شرابهای ایتالیا به اسم Pratum Coller رو تولید کنه.
دست سرنوشت پیرلو رو آورد به آکادمی یوونتوس و قرارداد مربیگری تیم زیر ۲۳ سالههای بانوی پیر رو امضا کرد. ولی همون دست سرنوشت، طوری پیش آورد که با اخراج مائوریسیو ساری، مربی سابق یووه، پیرلو بدون یک دقیقه تجربه مربیگری، حالا به عنوان سرمربی تیم اصلی یوونتوس مشغول به کار بشه و یکی از پرخطرترین انتخابهای زندگی خودش رو داشته باشه.
مارچلو لیپی، کاراو آنچلوتی و آنتونیو کنته هر سهتا مربی سابق پیرلو بودن و بعد از این انتخاب گفتن؛ پیرلو، قبل از بازیکن فوتبال، برای مربیگری ساخته شده.
کتاب به شدت دوست داشتنی ولی ترجمه چیزی فراتر از افتضاح! ناشری که ادعای تخصصی بودن در زمینه فوتبال داره ولی نمیتونه تلفظ اسامی فوتبالی و ورزشی رو درست پیدا کنه. ویراستاری و تایپ کتاب فراتر از فاجعه بود. پر بود از غلطهای نگارشی و دستوری. در یک کلام اگر پیشزمینه فوتبالی دارید و آشنا هستید شاید بتونید در ذهن خودتون اشکالات رو بگیرید و به خوندن ادامه بدین، در غیر این صورت این ویراست کتاب فاجعهست و باعث میشه از خوندنش خسته بشید.

If you love football in general; Italian football in particular, you must read this book. I am a huge Juventues fan and I am a huge fan of Pirlo and his style of playing. I usually play in the same position and I know how it feels to create chances to others, which is sometimes more fun than scoring goals. The book doesn't cover a lot of football tactics as one may expect, instead it focuses on Pirlo's experience at Milano, Juventus and the Italian national team. I was surprised by Pirlo's sense of humor, he seems like a serious guy from the outside but the truth is he is a very funny guy.

لم أُحب الكرة الإيطاليّة يومًا، كان يعجبني الميلان في وقتٍ ما، وأحببتُ عدد من اللاعبين الإيطاليين، بيرلو كان أحدهم، صورته معلقة في غرفتي بجوار صورة بوفون.
في نهائي كأس العالم ٢٠٠٦، كنتُ أشجع فرنسا، ليس لأني أحب المنتخب الفرنسي، بل لسبب أعتقد أن الشعب العربي كله ومشجعي ريال مدريد خاصةً أجمعوا عليه آنذاك؛ وهو زيدان، والذي لعب مباراته الأخيرة في مسيرته الكروية ضد إيطاليا.
منذ ذلك الوقت وأنا أشجع أي منتخب يلعب ضد إيطاليا.
يتحدث بيرلو عن هذا النهائي وعن ركلة الترجيح التي نفذها، لطالما اعتقدت أن ركلات الترجيح غير عادلة وصعبة إلى أبعد درجة، فما بالكم إذا كانت في نهائي كأس العالم.
يقول بيرلو واصفًا شعوره في تلك اللحظة: انطلقت، كانت خطوات تعج بالمشاعر، أخترت أن أسير بخطوات بطيئة، لم أرد أن أفسد أي شيء، أخذت أكثر وقت ممكن، لا يمكنني أن أنسى غياب الوعي أثناء تلك الخطوات البطيئة، كانت قصة درامية.. حدقت إلى العشب تحت قدمي، وكأنه لم يكن كبقية الملاعب، وكأن العشب كان أكثر ليونة.. على حذائي طبعت اسماء أبنائي، ربما لهذا كنتُ أمشي في منتهى الرقة.

في نهائي كأس العالم ٢٠٠٦، كنتُ أشجع فرنسا، ليس لأني أحب المنتخب الفرنسي، بل لسبب أعتقد أن الشعب العربي كله ومشجعي ريال مدريد خاصةً أجمعوا عليه آنذاك؛ وهو زيدان، والذي لعب مباراته الأخيرة في مسيرته الكروية ضد إيطاليا.
منذ ذلك الوقت وأنا أشجع أي منتخب يلعب ضد إيطاليا.
يتحدث بيرلو عن هذا النهائي وعن ركلة الترجيح التي نفذها، لطالما اعتقدت أن ركلات الترجيح غير عادلة وصعبة إلى أبعد درجة، فما بالكم إذا كانت في نهائي كأس العالم.
يقول بيرلو واصفًا شعوره في تلك اللحظة: انطلقت، كانت خطوات تعج بالمشاعر، أخترت أن أسير بخطوات بطيئة، لم أرد أن أفسد أي شيء، أخذت أكثر وقت ممكن، لا يمكنني أن أنسى غياب الوعي أثناء تلك الخطوات البطيئة، كانت قصة درامية.. حدقت إلى العشب تحت قدمي، وكأنه لم يكن كبقية الملاعب، وكأن العشب كان أكثر ليونة.. على حذائي طبعت اسماء أبنائي، ربما لهذا كنتُ أمشي في منتهى الرقة.

Terus terang, sebagai non-ultras yang cuma tahu teriak-teriak dan misuh-misuh nggak jelas waktu klub idola bertanding, (dulu) aku melihat dunia sepak bola sebagai surga dunia dan pemain bola adalah seorang dewa. Buku Pirlo ini kuanggap bagus sebagai jalan untuk memantaskan diri naik satu level menjadi penggemar bola pemula, juga untuk memahami sedikit lebihbanyak mengenai dunia sepakbola. Secara, pertama, nama Andrea Pirlo amat menjanjikan. Sebagai penggemar abal-abal AC Milan (waktu itu dan kini mantan penggemar ), nama Pirlo memang jaminan mutu. Kedua karena judulnya. Ketiga, kovernya. Keempat, blurb-nya.
Serius kaget. Bukan kenapa-napa, aku langsung ke-hook oleh penulisannya yang kocak dan cerdas-nakal walaupun ada kecurigaan besar kalau semua tulisan itu kerjaan dari co-writer dan bukan murni tulisan Pirlo sendiri. Tapi jika memang demikian adanya, nggak papa lah. Toh otak dan pribadi Pirlo adalah penyumbang bahan baku terbesar buku ini.
Blurb-nya sih udah bilang kalo Pirlo bukan cuma bercerita tentang dirinya, tapi ternyata porsi Pirlo tok nggak terlalu banyak. Soal kepindahan dari Milan; tentang masa kecil dan metode permainan bola Pirlo (judulnya yang jitu udah ngasih sedikit gambaran gimana jalannya otak sepakbola Pirlo yang kemudian diejawantahkannya ke permainan); beberapa pandangan dan pemikirannya mengenai masalah dalam sepakbola. Selebihnya adalah cerita kamar tidur selama bermain untuk Milan, timnas Italia dan sedikit saat awal bermain di Juventus, Syukurlah untuk yang terakhir. Maklum, bukan Juventini. XDD
Entah apa memang dimaksudkan demikian, tapi bukunya memang singkat dan karenanya juga jadi kurang mendalam.Tapi, walau begitu….. Yah, memang takdirnya kalau cerita kamar tidur tuh menarik. Apalagi kalau yang dibeberkan adalah kebiasaan-kebiasaan buruk sehari-hari . Sebetulnya, manusiawi banget. Iya kalo buat orang biasa macem ultras abal-abal. Tapi kalo objeknya manusia dewa pemain bola, orang yang bukan pencinta aib dan gosip pun pasti bakal seneng setengah mati. Syukurnya lagi, aku tahu hampir semua nama yang disebut sehingga kerasa relatable banget , sebagai penonton bola. Poin plus lainnya, gaya tulisan yang kocak, cocok dan amat menunjang sehingga si aib dan juga kisah lainnya jadi lebih nonjok. Ada sih beberapa jokes yang italia banget sehingga bikin agak bingung, tapi nggak banyak. Selain itu disediakan pula catatan kaki untuk memudahkan pemahaman konteks. Jadi kenikmatan baca juga nggak terlalu berkurang. Ngakak berkali-kali, iya. Bahagia? Dapet banget. XDD
Pada dasarnya semua profesi memiliki sisinya masing-masing. Ada yang bekerja dalam senyap dan keheningan malam, ada yang memang harus disediakan panggung dan lampu sorot untuk bisa tetap hidup. Untuk yang terakhir, seringkali membuat orang yang berkecimpung di dalamnya terlihat seperti bukan manusia karena lampu hanya menyorot yang harus ditampilkan saja. Aku inget ada seorang teman (ngehe) yang dulu sempet nanya, “Del Piero tu kalo sakit perut, kentut ato ke toilet nggak, sih?”.
Cerita-cerita dari tangan pertama seperti ini membantu untuk memahami bahwa ternyata setiap orang –juga pemain bola- punya otak dan mikir juga. Punya pandangan hidup juga. Memanggul bebannya masing-masing. Bahwa mereka manusia yang bekerja keras untuk meggapai tempatnya. Bahwa orang-orang di balik industry bola itu punya politiknya dan kepentingannya masing-masing (hei, Tuan Pulpen dan Berlusconi! Hahahaha). Bahwa pemain bola juga manusia.
Entah kebetulan atau tidak, pertanyaan teman (ngehe) ku itu terjawab. Walaupun bukan Del Piero sih, tapi Inzaghi. Ya, nggak papa lah ya. Sama-sama pemain bola. Sama-sama itali. Kanggoin aja XDD
Yang lainnya…. Aku suka ukuran font dan spasinya. Nggak bikin mata ngap-ngap klo dibaca sambil tiduran. Ada buku Gerrard juga yang diterbitin, sih. Benernya beli karena pengen tahu juga isi dan gaya tulisannya. Tapi… seperti temen yang beli buku Gerrard karena dia seorang Liverpudlian dan nggak beli buku Pirlo karena bukan penggemar Pirlo dan Italia, aku juga sama. Belom mau beli karena bukan penggemar Gerrard dan bukan Liverpudlian. Untuk sementara ini sih. Kanggoin. XDD

کتاب فارغ از خاطرات دست اولی که پیرلو به عنوان بازیکنی که در رویدادهای ده پونزده سال اخیر فوتبال جهان حضور داره روایت صمیمی و صادقانه و نثری سرشار از کنایه و استعاره داره. بلده قصهش رو بگه. از فصل جدا شدنش از میلان میگه، که بعد ده سال که ۹ سالش در اوج بود میخوان مث بازیکن تمام شده باهاش رفتار کنن. پیرلو میره یوونتوس و سه سال اونجا میدرخشه. از کودکیش میگه. که به خاطر بهتر بودنش طرد میشه. از شیفتگیش برای اینتر میگه. از ذوق اینکه پیراهن اینتر رو پوشید. و اینکه اگه لیپی مربی اینتر میموند اون میتونست حتی ازین بازیکنهای تک باشگاهه باشه. از رویای پوشیدن لباس رئال و بارسلون. که بعد ۲۰۰۶ چقدر نزدیک بوده بهشون. از تیم ملی ایتالیا. از عرقش به اون لباس. از مربیهایی که باهاشون کار کرده و بازیکنهایی که باهاشون بازی کرده.. اصلا فکر کن از ۲۵ می ۲۰۰۵ استانبول میگه، اون فینال عجیب. یا از فینال جام جهانی ۲۰۰۶. اینکه کسی که اونجا بوده برات وصف قدم برداشتن برای زدن پنالتی اول فینال جام جهانی را بده واقعا کیف داره.
توی مقدمه نوشته که پیرلو برخلاف معمول این دست کتابها نویسنده استخدام نکرده. و خودش نوشته و از یه نویسندهی حرفهای کمک گرفته. اگه به فوتبال علاقه دارین، اگرجه طرفدار میلان یا ایتالیا نیستین، کتاب به شدت پیشنهاد میشه.
توی مقدمه نوشته که پیرلو برخلاف معمول این دست کتابها نویسنده استخدام نکرده. و خودش نوشته و از یه نویسندهی حرفهای کمک گرفته. اگه به فوتبال علاقه دارین، اگرجه طرفدار میلان یا ایتالیا نیستین، کتاب به شدت پیشنهاد میشه.

Must be the worst book about a footballer's life that i read in my life, and i read a few. I gave it two stars just beacause i enjoyed Pirlo's style of play back in the days, but the way this book is written and the ideas that Pirlo expresses deserve probably just one star.
Let me just give you some examples : the book is written in 2014 and he clearly states he will never be a coach. We are now in 2021 and he is the coach of Juventus ; he appreciates Mino Raiola for his way of being (a man who must be the worst character in modern football) ; he talks very little about his time at AC Milan where he spent more than 10 years as a footballer.
Honestly, i always tought he liked the time spent there and considered him a man who loved the club but it seems he was eager to leave at any time to Barcelona or Real Madrid and just the fact that Milan didn't wanted to sell him influenced the result of him staying.
Bottom line, bad written book and it's good that i read it just to change my opinion on this player/now coach.

4.5 - Makes me wish he was still playing, a book that reads as if he's playing right in front of you, and is surprisingly funny.

It's just "okay" in my opinion. Way too short, full of little stories and filled with metaphors. A few humorous stories and personal opinions aside, it just lacks something worthy of such a great player.

أن تقارن وأنت في سن الرابعة عشر بأعظم لاعب كرة قدم في التاريخ - حسب تصنيف غالبية الإيطاليين - وأن تلعب مباريات ضد أحد عشر لاعبا خصما وعشرة لاعبين يلبسون نفس قميصك، وضد نفسك، وتفوز، فأنت " بيرلو " الذي لا أحد يشبهه، فدولي لن تكون هي نفسها المستنسخة.
ليس سهلا أبدا كونك لاعب كرة قدم، وتكون قاب (جرة قلم) أو أدنى من ريال مدريد أو أن يطرق بابك "برشلونة بيب"، لكنك تفضل، أو تجبر على البقاء في منزلك، وتحقق أبطال أوروبا، وحسرة فقدان حلم الطفولة في اللعب في الكلاسيكو الشهير.
شيء من بيرلو الغامض تقرأه في سطور هذا الكتاب، نهائي كأس العالم، إدمان البلاي ستيشن، نيستا، وأقلام غالياني، وطرائف بيرلسكوني، ووالده الذي يهرب من "مديح" جمهور بريشيا لابنه الأفضل في فريق الناشئين، الذي حصل على ركلة على كاحله لمراوغته لاعبا في الثلاثين من العمر وهو في السن الخامسة عشر.
يبدو أنه يحاول أن يكون فيلسوفا في الحياة كما هو فيلسوف حقا في كرة القدم، يقدم حلولا لمشاكل عديدة تتعلق بكرة القدم وبالحياة بالمجمل، مشاكل الجمهور ومشاكل الحكام، والعنصرية، ومشكلة "أليساندرو ماتري" والمرض وغيرها.
ضحكت كثيرا مع مواقفه الكوميديا مع "جينارو غاتوز" العنيف داخل الملعب وخارجه، فمرة قد أقدم على طعن بيرلو بالشوكة!!، وكذلك مع مواقفه اللطيفة مع ماتري.
هناك المدربين، أفضلهم ليبي وكونتي، وكثير من خصوم المباريات، وقصة الرقم 21 الملتصق دائما بظهره، وحكاية نادي السد القطري المثيرة، والمضحكة أيضا.
مباريات وجولات ولقاءات ومفاوضات، وأهداف، وأسرار ربما تكشف للتو، خصوصا تلك المتعلقة بمهارته الدقيقة في تسديد الركلات الحرة بنجاح دائما، ومن أين تعلمها؟ وممن؟
لا أدري إن كان المترجم كان دقيقا في ترجمته أم لا، إذ يبدو أن كاتب النص أراد بطريقة ما أن تكون هذه المذكرات المختصرة من حياة أندريا بيرلو كقصة خيالية، أجاد في أوقات قليلة.
الكتاب يتكون من واحد وعشرين فصلا، عشرون منها مكتوب والأخير بقي صفحات بيضاء فقط مليئة بالعواطف التي لم تكتب بعد.

This book is about a amazing soccer player Andrea Pirlo. This book consists of the achievements and challenges that he faces. For example the decisions he had make when transferring clubs, the teammate's parents that put him down as a child, him doubting himself. These are a few things that formed Pirlo. This book can be hard to read if you do not have a strong background with coaches, players, and soccer clubs. Pirlo shares how he got so well at free kicks and when him and is friends mess around and have a good time. To me this book is very inspirational and makes me appreciate the game.
It was very hard for me to choose the favorite part of the book for me. If I had to chose it would be him sharing his success in 2012 with Ac Malian. This team was amazing and won the title in their league. This team consisted of super stars, Thiago Silva, Pato, Pirlo, Imbrahimovic, and Rabinio. This team was unstoppable and didn't lose many games. This was my favorite part because it showed how the team progressed and gelled together.
I rate this book 5/5 stars because I really enjoyed reading this book and learned a few things. I enjoyed it because it felt like you were him in certain chapters and get to see his world in his perspective. Some things that I learned from the book, was not to be selfish, know how to act outside/inside the pitch, and family first. These qualities formed the great man Pirlo.
