Cold and alone… Christina has been forced into a life that is not her own. With her parents “O’Ding” on the side of the road, she’s lost everything worth living for.
Forced to forget who you are, who you’ve been and adapt into a life no one should be subjected to.
Only the strong can survive, but surviving doesn’t mean you want to live life at all. Knowing that she’ll never be the person she once was or previously had the potential to be.
Can you imagine the pain, the fear, the agony of living below ground in a cellar alone since age 7?
Punished daily Physically & Mentally, reliving the worst memories constantly in her head at night. Some days were better than others but none were good. All days were bad some nights were worse, 8,398 days total and only one day counts but its not day 8,398.
This was a difficult book to read. In the sometimes appalling acts one person commits against another you do not always walk away unscathed. Anger that grew to outrage, silent sadness for the character's situation and great empathy for the child she started out to be. Those were only a few of the emotions this book will invoke in the reader. Very well written....affecting. -To The Author- I admire your talent. Will be reading more of your work.
This book kept me intrigued from start to finish. It was a lot of moments where I cringed for Christiana (Shanna) and felt horrible for her. And when it came to Jeremy and what she did to him Omg. I was happy to read that he still loved her after that and that Stewart eased up on her. The last few years was a prime example of Stockholm syndrome. I look forward to seeing what becomes of Shanna and Jeremy and if she will have a relationship with Grandma Jackie.
Another killer book coming from Redphenix. This is not like her Urban style, but suspense and I MUST say, she did NOT disappoint. It leaves you wanting more. This books gives you one hell of an emotional roller coaster. This is my second time on this book and I cannot wait for Corrupt Intentions to be released in 2021!!!!
