Something sinister churns within but she refuses to succumb to its dark desires. Only Alexios, the handsome vampire Captain, calms the roiling waves of her urges and kindles her passion. But ancient forces plot to destroy them both and time is running out. Will they solve the mystery of who she truly is and stop her from becoming the monster she fears? By drinking some of her blood, Alexios👹🍆⛲ determines she is his Davina💃💋👑! He will protect her and never let her go again! Davina💃💋👑 remembers nothing about the intervening millennia.....

Problem. His daddy👹 is going to throw a fit When he finds out! Davina's💃💋👑 ancient ruling line must be restored!

ARC Received from Hidden 💎Gems
I also got this book with KU.

The vampires👹 in this book have certain unique powers among them. Alexios👹🍆⛲, by tasting another's blood, learns that person's whole history. He can also force other vampires.👹 into sleep. The vampires👹 can also teleport for short distances.
This is an ADULT sci-fi, vampire, and paranormal romance.

I wish there would have been more action in this book. More fighting or space 🚀battles. Some of it seemed like I was reading the same passage over every once in a while throughout the book.

Loved the premise of space faring sexy vampires👹, but the actual execution of this book, not so much. I was also more disappointed to find the book ends in a cliffhanger.......

I enjoyed the premise of this book. The world was well painted by the author and I loved the idea of Davina possibly being consumed by the power that lives inside her. I also love the romance between Alexios and Davina. I liked how Alexios admired her from afar before she even knew who he was. He is definitely my kind of hunky vampire. I personally loved Alexios all the way around, even if he was a little bit bullheaded, but I feel like most male vampires are. That being said, I am not a huge fan of Davina. In the beginning I could understand her reservations. She woke up with no memory and in a strange place. Then as she began to regain that memory she had to deal with the death of her family all over again, as if it were new and not centuries before. Davina had to deal with a lot. Then as Davina and Alexios began to get closer it was like she was always pulled away from him. She went from being considerate to being a little bit selfish and kind of a Diva. Then to purposely make Alexios uncomfortable by having Amir join them on their journey to find Marius. I don't know, but personally instead of growing as a character, I feel like she went backwards. I know this isn't the last we will see of any of these characters. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series and I hope I will change my mind about Davina.

This is the first book I have read from this author.
This book is about Alexios and Davina. Alexios is a vampire hunting his sire to kill him and Davina wakes up from a very long sleep not knowing who she is or where she is. Davina starts showing abilities that no one was expecting and they need to discover who she truly is. Not forgetting that Alexios still want to hunt and kill his sire.
The connection between Alexios and Davina is strong from the beginning and continues to grow even stronger after they know who Davina really is.
This is a book that is set in space and other planets. I don’t normally read books that are set in space but I did enjoy the idea of the book. I also like Alexios and Davina

I can't really say that I loved this book, but I didn't hate it either. It has lots of story to it that builds up momentum. An interesting, paranormal plot and was well written. I liked Alexios quite a bit but Davina was a character I had a hard time connecting with. I do believe they went together well though. It had excitement, suspense, and romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This book was well written &the characters and the world are well built. I am not a fan of space related fiction, had I paid attention, I probably would not have accepted the Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Because I did receive the advance reader copy I read the book. It was well written and a good book just not my cup of tea if you will.

My first Nicki Ruth book. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Colorful descriptions of each place we visited. Depth of character(s); I felt I knew them, and wanted to know more. An interesting plot; I did not want to put it down. No spoilers, as you have to experience this exciting story on your own...and believe me, it is exciting right to the very end!

Loved the story

I really liked the story and how the relationship was developed between Alexios and Davina. I liked the development of the bond over time even though they weren’t conscious of it until it was formed. Looking forward to the next book.
