Pierce has shown up at the strip club with his half brother to do a job that would show his father he was part of the family. What he doesn't realize is the girl he's suppose to bamboozle and get information from is Morgan. After physically assaulting the man she was suppose to be giving a lap dance to he takes her to a hotel room. Once there she asks to use his phone to call her dad. Before she can make the call a text comes in asking Pierce if he's found out where the girl's father is yet. How could he know what her father had gotten himself caught up in? Was he part of it? Was telling her she belonged to him a ruse to get information?
All his life Pierce had wanted a brother and now that he found Mitch he felt nothing. He'd had to prove himself to his adoptive family when he first got there and now he had to prove himself to his biological family. He knew he could do it, he was stronger and smarter. He just hated the feeling of wanting their approval.

Morgan Kennedy is mortified that Pierce just wants to get to her father like the rest of them. Morgan hits Pierce in the head with a shovel and runs off after telling him "Have a good life because you'll never see me again." Pierce replies "You'll see me again. It's a promise." I am loving the beginning of Pierce and Morgan's story. She's got secrets and so does he. They butt heads every time they are near each other and poor Morgan just doesn't know what to do with herself around Pierce.

I love that Pierce is getting his own story told, he always seemed important but in the background in Quiver, must admit I’m waiting for the phone call 😁
