Perfect love. Ancient rebellion. Overwhelming redemption.
The shattered heavens empower unlikely heroes to overcome the origin of darkness.
Before the spoken earth, Alphega treasured His whispered world, Wispria, from the heavenly realm of Agapia. Yet, after destruction of the Agapian Gate, by the Archeon leader, Lure, and his legions, Alphega wept tears of power over seven Wisprian companions. These survivors must discern when to use them, journey to find magical shards of agapate, and use their elemental abilities against the evil that seeks the stones. As the darkened world grows colder ushering in an age of ice, can these unlikely heroes overcome Lure before he reaches Agapia and enslaves The Wisprian World?
With a cast of fantastical characters, new adventures in undiscovered lands, ancient rebellion, overwhelming redemption, and perfect love, W.N. Cleckler’s fantasy series will have you unearthing a new world of possibilities in our ultimate origin story.
"Before Darkness Was O'er The Deep, A World Was Whispered. Seven Tears Did Alphega Weep, And That World Entered. Frozen Scrolls Turned To Stone, Arcane, With Wonders Untold: First Heroes, Ancient Evils, Pain. Before Eden, There Was Cold...."
This book really does truly have a little bit of something for everyone. Yes it is alternate theology but it is also an epic fantasy. Good vs evil prototypes and a false idol starting a war against Alphega/heaven. This book is the start of that adventure – what caused the eclipse? Why did the light go dark? A group of highly unique characters come together under extreme circumstances to learn about the imposter, rally a group of seven blessed adventurers, and hopefully book two will start the war.
What I liked the most is how much Cleckler obviously loves these characters. He puts them through hell, their villages pillaged by violent rapey demons, death of family in front of their eyes, devastation of forces, and other very dark things, but also gives them courage, the will to fight, interesting back stories, help from the animal world, and the support structure they need to move forward. There is a magical horse turned unicorn, a bear who’s loyalty knows no bounds, and then Alphega who sees the pain of the characters and grants them a tear, or they find a piece of the magical stone gate that shattered that gives them an additional ability. Each character has carefully drawn artwork as well and it’s obvious that each one was written with great thought. They aren’t perfect characters, they are flawed but learn from their mistakes and are also given time to grieve appropriately for said mistakes, and tend to go forward stronger.
Speaking of the art, it is absolutely lovely. The map, chapter head letters, and character artwork is all exquisitely well done. Here is a direct link to the authors Instagram for an example of the character art! https://www.instagram.com/p/B9j3GVzgT...
At first it was a bit hard to tell where the book was heading, and then I realized that we were meeting the characters. I wasn’t sure if it was more a collection of short stories or what, as the opening chapters lacked a tad bit of cohesion, and that is where my star rating came in. Once the characters some together the quest is quite awesome and I love how they all have to do their part and keep pulling for each other.
Potential Easter Eggs: There may be a nod to Star Trek: TNG, because Lore is Data’s evil archetype. I didn’t see any specific references but when I hear “Lore” in an archetypal sense, I think of the androids, especially when he was trying to play the real Data. Also a potential nod to a book in Skyrim (my character has a library) where tears formed an artifact, but I will never find it or recall the name. Lastly there is some secret message hidden in the pages but I have NO idea where it is or what I’m looking for, if anyone reads this and finds it, please tell me!!
I do definitely recommend this to fans of anything from theology to epic fantasy, you will LOVE the magic and lore and I definitely prefer the religious over/undertones to some of the other messages I get these days!
Thank you so much again to the author for the book, I am anxiously awaiting the next installment!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review, and I was totally taken back by the story!
It's a very intense read, fantasy adult book with strong topics (abuse, mentions of rape, torture, various deaths) and a religious back-bone to the story. I couldn't stop turning pages late hours at night because every page is an unexpected turn, with action-packed chapters!
The story is narrated by Alphega, which is a God superior being, and tells the sequence of events after Lure (a fallen superior) abandons the heavens and falls on land spreading evilness.
It focuses on the story lines of mortals which are altered through encounters with godly pieces of the fallen sky (tears and agapates), and their journey in overcoming grief, discovering their true purpose and uniting to defeat Lure and his followers.
Out of these mortals, Animus and his bear are my favorites. I love their companionship and I couldn't keep myself from crying at their loss.
I highly recommend this book for fantasy lovers, it's full of magic stones, prophecy, woodland creatures, ice creatures, unicorns.. And makes you dream of this world and the possibilities.
This book was my most unexpected and interesting read.

Couldn't put it down. The sketch artwork inside the book is gorgeous, protagonists all feel tangible, and have great obstacles and goals which made the story compelling. Also, the concept of a world before the Garden of Eden was uniquely and thoughtfully presented in this book.
Warning: contains triggering topics like rape. 🦄🦄🦄 "Before Darkness Was O'er The Deep, A World Was Whispered. Seven Tears Did Alphega Weep, And That World Entered. Frozen Scrolls Turned To Stone, Arcane, With Wonders Untold: First Heroes, Ancient Evils, Pain. Before Eden, There Was Cold...." 🦄🦄🦄 Tears of Alphega is the first book in The Wispirian World series by W.N. Cleckler. You may have noticed that there isn't a "blurb" for the book and I was very confused by this. But that's the point. The few sentences that we get adds to the mystery of what we are getting into so I'm going to try my best and not talk about the storyline a lot because you need to experience it to enjoy it. But what I will point out is that when I first started to read this book I was under the impression that it was a bunch of short stories because each chapter had someth completely different (mainly different characters and their stories) but soon it was clear that this was a complete tale to be told but we just needed to know the finer details beforehand. So normally when I say, "there's a lot going on" I mean it, but for the first time I don't know how to put the events that transpired in this particular book into words. I mean with every page turned something or the other takes place and were pushed into this fantasy world that's beyond comprehension. We are also provided with illustrations after each chapter, mostly focused on each of the characters and even though I'm someone who absolutely hates when there are too many characters in a book, the way the author wrote this story was phenomenal. So when we are first learning about the characters in this book I was intrigued because each character is given an intense backstory and a "divine" connection to Alphega so when we do get to see them later on, there's this obvious character arc but it feels like that's what they were meant to be doing all along. This book was just brilliantly written with the perfect amount of time taken to focus on what's important and skid through what's not (thank Heavens for that). I absolutely love this book and I'm really looking forward to reading more about the Wisprian World and what the future holds for it. Also, you guys NEED to read it if you're into fantasy, but mind the trigger warnings. 🦄🦄🦄 Rated 10/10 Melina L.
My first experience with "the wisprian world' is insane. I can't tell how magical it is to see and imagine a world full of creatures and aesthetic vibrations.
Book will put a reader in thrill mode, i experienced it all of a sudden and it's a living adventure.
Felt like i am into wispria, a world full of energy and enthusiasm.
Language here used are some sort of mixture because i saw Latin or Greek words spread like melon seeds. I think this would have given the entire read a feel of ancient time.
Author has shown two worlds in the book but it was a story before Adam and Eve before everything, it's a story of old earth so the plot is dynamic and names and structural forms changed.
Book supports and based upon many historical facts, folks, testaments and theological aspects.
The narrative part shown seems like God is talking but have had different name as he is know as "Alphega" here. He distinguished two different World's which he had created.
The one which he lives in reference upper world named "Agapia" and the other at distant down there one called "Wispria". He named it because wispria was created when it was whispered and it's existence shown before the current world called "Earth".
Euphoria felt when i was reading it, the lovely touch through the nature scented my mind with trees, rivers, summits, and all living creatures with different morphological features came alive, living forms given name as "Archeon" in the book.
Author indirectly put characters from the Holy books like Lucifer here referred as "Lure" intended to snatch and conquer the Wispria but as this is a work of fiction, plot did magnificent work towards the story.
This book has variable stories but with connecting dots it will come forward for you, it's written in such a way you will need a decent amount of coffee and days to accomplish.
"The wisprian world" isn't a written book but it's a experience you will only get once you give time to it.
Can't wait for Book 2 which comes out later this month. Do buy it , you haven't had this experience before.
This book is a fantastic twist on the Creation story. You’ll better pick up on references if you know about this religion, but even if you don’t it’s still an amazing story. There’s plenty of action, adventure, magic, and mystical creatures like mermaids and unicorns.
The book is written from the perspective of Alphega (God in this case), so it’s written in first person, but has more of a third person feel since Alphega can see everything going on and give details of all perspectives. For the most part, Alphega just tells the story, of what is happening in each place and to each person, but He will occasionally interject to give His personal feelings on what is happening.
At the end of each chapter, there is a picture of one of the scenes from that chapter. These pictures are mainly of characters, which magnificently gives you a face for the name. The details and descriptions of characters is already wonderfully done, but the pictures really allow you to envision the characters. I also love that a map is included so you can easily follow along with where scenes are taking place since the book will skip around between the different characters.
The skipping can be confusing at first, but just keep in mind that the chapters are not told in chronological order. It’s not hard to follow what is happening when though, and becomes more clear as the stories line up.
What really makes this book five stars for me is all the emotions I felt while reading. The writing is so well done that I felt like I was there with each character, going through what they went, feeling what they felt, and feeling what Alphega felt. Without giving too much away, the reason this first book is “Tears of Alphega” is that when the characters suffer a loss, Alphega is sad with them and drops a tear onto them. I cried during some of these moments, feeling the characters’ pain and Alphega’s sorrow.
We all loved the fantasy world. Don't we? It's an escape from the real world, we are enticed by the locations, the characters, the powers, the theories and most importantly justice serving plotline. The Wisprian World is a heartwarming tale of a forgotten world which will leave you dismayed. ____ The Wisprian World belongs to the Tears of Alphega series. It serve you with everything in a right amount, beyond your expectation. It surely is an unique book because the author tried everything possible to make sure this book is worth every penny spent. I must say he succeeded! I love how this book not just offers you great storyline, magnificent characters, spectacular world building, but also some beautiful illustrations and a map to make sure you are being entertained by the book. The book brings to your notice ice age era that was forgotten and also unfolds many secrets that were frozen in the hope to be never revealed. ____ Notwithstanding, this book will take you to unexpected adventures, impress you with its theological viewpoints and unforgettable locations. If you liked the movie Narnia, chances are that you will fall in love with this book because they bothb are quite alike. Recommending this book to all the fantasy lovers and waiting for the next book in the series eagerly.
⭐The plot is very descriptive and rich with character and landscape details. The author also contains maps and illustrations that make the world come alive. I loved learning more about the history of any character and like showing a great view of his names and the decisions he eventually makes.
⭐It serves you in a right direction above your expectation of anything. It is definitely a special book and the author has done everything possible to guarantee that any penny expended is worth this book. This book takes you on unforeseen journeys, the philosophical perspectives and memorable places impress you. Most of the time Alphega tells the tale of what's going on in every place, and in every person, but he often stops to express himself in his own personal feelings.
⭐After each chapter, we also have drawings, mainly based on each character and while I am someone who has utter disdain towards so many characters, the storey was phenomenal with how the writer wrote it. This book is written in a manner that will encourage you to have a reasonable amount of cafe and days of link points. This book has variable histories.
⭐It's full of magical crystals, prophecy, monsters in the snow, ice creatures, unicorns, I recommend this book for fantasy lovers. And make you dream about this future and the potential.
I've just finished this and idk where to begin..this was quite an adventure I was not prepared for that! I received this book from the author for a honest review, I'm in love with his work!
The Wisprian World is an #epicfantasy told by a Alphega (God), the world Agapia (heaven) was made from agapate (that thing has mysterious powers) so smth happens, Lure (Lucifer) wants more (of course he is the evil one) so he abandons Agapia and falls on earth (The Wrispian World) spreading all his evilness! then the darkness come!
you will get to know a lot of amazing characters in this book (they are really special ones, they are the tears bearers) you will get attached to them! the books starts telling the story of each of them separately but then in some point they will all come together! they have one goal, defeat Lure! you will find all the possible creatures in this book, the illustrations are so special bc it gives life to the book! I love it!
so yeah you won't be disappointed and I'm so eager to read the sequel "The Day Star"!
⠀ The Wisprian World is a sweeping epic of biblical proportions that immediately reminded me of the writing of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. Written from the perspective of Alphega (a god-like character) the story opens on a description of Wispria, a world before our Earth full of giants, monsters, and many human-like creatures, and details a battle between Good and Evil. The story is very detailed and full of rich descriptions of the characters and the scenery. The author also includes maps and illustrations that really help bring this world to life. I enjoyed learning more about the backstories of each character and I love how their names and where they're from show a great insight into their personalities and the choices that they ultimately make. There are heavy religious overtones but they tie well into the story and there are plenty of twists and surprises to make the narrative fresh and interesting. ⠀ ⠀ I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Lord of The Rings, The Golden Compass, or Narnia. I'm excited to read the next installment from Mr. Cleckler! ⠀ ⠀
If you enjoy fantasy books, then this book is definitely worth picking up! Even though it’s a fantasy book it also has elements from other genres so there is something for everyone. This book has well-defined characters and an intriguing plot. This is definitely not your average fantasy book, it’s very new. Thank you to the author @thewisprianworld for kindly sending me a copy of your book, you did a great job!
