Before Twelve: Sam's Story

Rate this book
SAM

I've always been everyone's first choice,
the only choice, and their entire world.
I'm also used to succeeding, being recognized
and I was always the center of attention.

Guilty. Dissatisfied. Lost

All it took was one moment of awkwardness,
a woman thankfully unexpected,
for Jamie to pique my interest.

Question is: Did it even really matter?

AUTHOR NOTE: This is the second half of the prequel duology to the Serendipity Series. Be warned, it comes with a cliffhanger. This book has mature content, must be over 18 years of age to read.

This prequel to the novel, Twelve Miles, in the Serendipity series truly helps set the stage. After his father's death and brother's stepping aside Sam is in charge of his family's business affairs and foundation. He travels the world, but sometimes he comes back home. In addition to the work in the office he occasionally trains at a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu center. He has become good friends with the owner and enjoys the parties at this owner's home. At one he almost meets Jamie and is preoccupied with her. Check out this great lead-in and then read the whole Serendipity series. I have enjoyed them all. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A wonderful excellet short insight of Sam in this prequel to the Serendipity series. It shows how smart and socially challenged he can be with the backstory revealing him and his angst. You see how his brothers step aside after his father's death and he takes over the foundation and family affairs and travels the world. When home he enjoys parties at his friend, who is the owner of a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu center he somtimes trains at. You get to see how he and Jamie actually run into each other several times before actually meeting at one of the parties. I really enjoyed reading his story and getting background on him before Twelve Miles story.

Must admit I am not used to two prequels for a series but in this case it works really well Here we meet Sam and how he first comes across Jamie and the life he lead before her.

Be sure to read Before Twelve Jamie's Story and then continue with the rest of this wonderful series in
Twelve Miles
Twelve Weeks
Twelve Nights
You won't be disappointed but please ensure you read in order as it is an ongoing series

A Good Insight To Sam
This is book two in the prequel duology to the Serendipity Series. This short story features Sam and Jamie. He is quite taken by her when he meets her in Brazil. This book is a great lead into the Serendipity Series. Good insight into Sam and how he deals with the family business after his father's death. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

I am voluntarily leaving a review for Before Twelve: Sam's Story.
I read this book which is one part of a prequel to Twelve Miles. It was a great way to learn more about the main character, Sam, his past experiences, and the thoughts and motivations behind his actions. I also read Before Twelve: Jaime's Story, and then went on to read book 1 in the series (Twelve Miles) and I definitely recommend reading the prequel first. You'll understand Sam and Jaime much better if you do!

I received this book as an ARC but I'm voluntarily leaving this review. This prequel really explains a little about what the book is going to be like. Sam seems like a real sweetheart. Poor Jamie though seems like she just can't find her feet around him. It'll be interesting to see where the next book will take them.

Before Twelve : Sam’s story by Robin Edwards. This is the second prequel before the series. Again it was written to help the readers to get to know the characters before the series. Sam seems pretty nice, but the story got a little tiring.

Well written prequel that shows the character of Sam and what is to come.
This is the second prequel for the Serendipity Series. It is very short but worth the read before the next story.

A Thinking Man’s Life:
By Korkoi -
I enjoyed the story and it flowed better than Jamie’s story. However, I feel Prequel 1 and 2, would read better as one combined book.
