Great early chapter book series. It was really nice to have the first three books bundled together for continuous reading.

These stories were great. Featuring wizardry, dark magic, mysteries, and dragons, they're fast-paced adventures with plenty of twists and turns. Each story sets up the scene of what happened in the previous books so I don't think they necessarily have to be read in order, but it works best for a continuous experience.

Loved the variations of dragons based on different mythology. There's Eastern style with four legs and no wings, Western style with four legs and two wings, and European worm-style with no legs and two wings. Each dragon has its own unique abilities and each of the stories focuses on a specific dragon.

Nice, simple reading structures with plenty of mystery and adventure to hook readers. At the end of each book is a short Questions and Activities section with reading comprehension questions and some activities such as elaborating on parts of the story and creating your own dragon.

A very fun set of reads (even for an adult). Really enjoyed the start of this series.

My nieces and nephews LOVE this book series. The characters include both male and female protagonists, and the books appeal to a range of kids with different personalities and interests. With fast-paced adventuresome storytelling, the plot and pacing drive interest, and both emergent readers and advanced readers will enjoy the tales. Dragon Masters also has great re-readability, and I'd recommend purchasing a physical copy of all of the books. They will be well used and well loved.

I think the grands will love these stories. I did! The books fit in well with our Medieval study right now. Each dragon and it's trainer elude to being from actual countries from around the world. Ana/Kepri are from a warm country with pyramids. Bo/Shu are from a land in the far East with Ninjas and cherry trees.
