Otra historia cortita sobre un alfa Tigre y una ligre que es un híbrido entre león y tigre. Ha está bien, ha sido bastante rápida aunque los protagonistas se han tomado su tiempo para juntarse. Esta bien para pasar el ratito!

Speed mating narra la ( pequeña ) historia de Estrella y Vik, dos nuevos personajes en el mundo sobrenatural de la saga Midnight Liaisons creado por Jessica Sims.
No sabia que esperar de esta novela, ya que la ultima novela de esta serie fue una completa decepcion, en cambio Speed Mating aunque rapida y sin demasiada profundidad, fue una lectura ligera y entretenida ( creo que la lei en solo una hora ).

Estrella, a liger, is going into heat and she needs to find a man ASAP. But she’s got a problem. Being a mixed breed leaves her on the outs as the lions don’t want anything to do with her and the tigers are wary of her as well.

Still, she goes to the tigers’ alpha male, Vic, and asks for his help. The attraction she feels for Vic is palpable, and she hopes he steps up to the plate to relieve her, but she has no such luck.

Vic sets her up on several dates and they all end badly. As time runs out, Estrella is becoming desperate. They try Midnight Liaisons as a last resort, but one of Estrella’s dates bails. Vic steps in so the night won’t be a total loss and Estrella wonders if she should make a move on the alpha male. Will Estrella ever find her man?

“Speed Mating” is another great read and addition to the Midnight Liaisons Series by Jessica Sims (JS). It’s filled with lots of humorous moments as well as scorching hottt moments guaranteed to burn your socks off.

My only complaint was that JS had stated in book two that while shifters interbreed, the blood calls to only one animal and there is never a mixture of breeds. So it came as a surprise that Estrella was a liger. Still, I could totally look past this and enjoy the book. The sexual tension is done perfectly. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Greatly fleshed out characters, both in the literal and the figurative senses. The sizzling tension between them doesn't go unappreciated. My only wish would be that the female lead could be a little less judgemental of men.

Read this in the anthology Fire & Frost . Not my first Jessica Sims (or rather by any "nom de plume") by a long shot. This is the one, Estrella and Vic's lightning bolt mating, that'll get me truly hooked back to finish the series ;) I enjoyed these to MCs together very much. For a short read, it was just right. Satisfying.
If you're like me and enjoy the mating heat trope...this has everything you'd need. Hot, quick, thrilling, and unpredictable, just like a bolt of lightning.

Plus side? Looks like most of the series that I don't have on my dusty TBD listy is in KU In 2019!

Estrella and Vic

She's a liger he's a tiger and her Alpha. Going in Heat within the week Estrella needs a Tiger baby-daddy quick. Trouble is the only guy she has any interest in is her Alpha and totally out of bounds.

Very cute, very short story. (I hope we get another visit with these two; maybe once the kit is born. I can WISH!)

I loved this! The novellas in this series are just as good as the full length novels.

I also love how most of Jessica Sims' novels are told only from the heroine's POV, my preferred point of view. You don't get that often in romance!

Speed Mating

I liked it. I found myself smiling while reading. This sweet novella was about a liger on the cusp of her first heat. Strongly attracted to her alpha and feeling an outcast of both clans, seeks a mate via a dating agency.

A liger shifter with a crush on her alpha is about to go into heat and needs someone to help her through it. She'd rather it be her alpha, but does not want to make things weird in the clan, so instead she goes on a speed dating event in hopes of finding the future father of her baby.

No one is quite right, unfortunately, and eventually she resorts to extreme measures to show her alpha that she wants him.

The series continues with Single Wolf Female and a pair of alpha wolves.

Loved this one! Ugh why did it have to be so short?!? This had to be the shortest of the stories in the Midnight Liasons series that I've read so far, or at least it certainly felt that way. But it was the best so far! I loved this novella and did not want it to end! Estrella was so tough and spunky and real, she was strong and feirce and refused to settle for anything less than what she deserves. And she definitely deserves a man like Vic. HE WAS DELICIOUS!!! So strong and sexy and such an ALPHA! And when they finally...um..."cooled" her heat, he pretty much set me on fire. I could really relate to Estrelle on so many levels, especially the height thing. I'm a very strong 5'11 girl right here and know the pain of being surrounded by inferiorly-sized men. And of course they are all tigers (and half-tigers) which our my second favorite animal and number one choice if I could be a shifter so that really helped haha I genuinely loved this little story and really wish there was more to it!

Estrella is a liger (lion & tiger mix) and she doesn’t feel like she fights in with the local tiger clan even though she’s a part of it. It’s common knowledge (among weres not humans) that mix-breeds are sterile. So Estrella has never had to deal with the heat that a feline were goes through. Until now.

Since Estrella though herself sterile she never thought about having children but with her heat coming on she wants a child but doesn’t know who to turn to. After going through a speed mating (much like a speed dating event) she her hopes for a suitable male is even lower. She keeps having thoughts about Vic, the tiger alpha of her adoptive clan. But he’s not looking for a mate and she can’t flirt with the alpha. What if he’s not interested and she has do deal with it.

Vic does all he can to help Estrella find a suitable male to help her with her heat. But could he be overlooking the perfect male for Estrella within himself?

This story was originally published as part of the anthology Fire and Frost. It is a very short story, I finished it in about an hour.

Estrella is a liger, half lion, half tiger. She was not wanted by her lion family, but because she is part tiger, she was accepted, reluctantly, by the tiger clan. She doesn't fit in, and the men avoid her. Being a half-breed, she and her clan always assumed she was sterile. That is until she feels herself starting to go into heat. Now she needs a man, but the only man she's ever wanted is Vic, her alpha. But being who she is, she knows he'll want nothing to do with her.
So she turns to her last resort, Midnight Liaisons. The dating service of the supernaturals. And their version of shifter speed dating.
I've read the earlier Midnight Liaisons books. They are great, well written, funny, sexy. This was a great story to add to the series.

Strella & Vic's Story ,


Strella has a hard time blending in due to being a liger but Vic the Tiger Alpha was great enough to include her in his den and now that she going into heat her "crush" on her alpha has escalated and she is secretly in love with him , and what does a female have to do when your alpha does not notice you ? Why go on a speed mating .

Vic has liked Strella for a a ehile but as her alpha he has to hold back, but all his plans goes down the drain when the female of his dreams not only goes into heat but speed dating as well .

Love this story !!! I just hope the story was a bit longer

I read about Aidan's story but this is about Vic and Estrella. It was kinda cute too. A quick read and not bulky with useless details. It was quite frustrating because you could not see Vic's feelings, he hid it well, no reactions, no expressions. The only giveaway was he was always there and of course, the glass smashed sound before Estrella went to meet her suitors. Which were all idiots, I wonder if Vic made sure of that. LOL
I won't be surprised, male Shifters are really possessive and more if they are Alphas.

Speed Mating was originally released in the Fire & Frost Anthology) With her first mating heat upon her, liger shifter Estrella needs to find a suitable baby daddy and she needs to find him fast, so off to a dating agency for supernaturals and a round of speed mating... - I liked this one a lot, Estella is so wrapped up in her perceived deficiencies that she's missed out on what has been there all of the time, and this very steamy story was surprisingly cute for a story that uses going into 'heat' as a kick starter.

Vic (were-tiger) + Estrella (liger)

There it goes another heat thing again! As usual, it got me laughing a lot. I can say, almost during the entire reading.

Both main characters were likable. Vic's the tiger alpha is meany looking yet he's caring. Estrella is lion + tiger breed, she's awkward and funny most of the times.

One flaw: that L-bomb is way, way too fast. But then, on second thought, it's a quick read. So, go figure.

Recommended if you like meany cat shifters.

Estrella is a Liger and she is about to go into heat. Desperate for a suitable male to potentially father her child (shifters can only get pregnant when they are in heat and they may only go into heat once) she turns to her Alpha Vic.

I liked this - TBH I liked it a lot more than the first book which I am currently stuck on.
